I ordered a 15" 2.4 Hi Res mbp.

Has anyone in the UK who ordered this on the 13th got theirs yet?

Maybe there was a delay in manufacturing certain models?

This happens when you order another item with your MBP (such as Applecare, or an Apple remote, etc..)

Basically you're f*ucked, because your order goes into the dreaded "merge in NL" mode, Which means:

- You get NO TRACKING number at all (or any other reliable info for that matter, just a load of different confusing delivery dates)
- Your delivery gets delayed by several days because your order has to be merged somewhere, usually in Holland...
- You don't have a clue (nor does Apple) where your order is or when it will be delivered.

Not that Apple warns you of any of this in advance, of course!

Shipped to XXX, GB 17 Apr 2010
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 05 May 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Apr 2010

Of course, the store says 27/28th.

Nothing on any screen has changed since mid-last week. Ordered 13th.

Exactly the same here. Very annoying. I am tempted to contact Apple and find out if I can cancel. I wouldn't have realised how shafted the merge in transit people were getting if it wasn't for this site. Why should I have to wait much longer for a laptop and Applecare than someone who ONLY ordered a laptop. And yes to you people who have tracking info this might seem extreme but try 2 weeks with NO information on the location of your very expensive order and then also find out that your deliveries are much slower than aforementioned:mad::mad::mad:

just got my tracking number today.
i ordered it on friday evening and ups say it should be with me this friday...
soooo i'm thinking thats a good ship time:D

firstly, doesn't the waiting for your delivery seem somewhat familiar to when we were all waiting for the MBP refresh. We keep checking the order status page to see if anything new has happened, just like before when we kept checking the apple store page to see if the new MBPs were out. :D

I think Apple likes to keep us waiting. :p

Secondly, I paid by CC, i hope my CC bill doesn't arrive before my MBP, 'cos that will be most annoying!!

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 10 May 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 29 Apr 2010

What does this mean. The macbook is shipped on 29th of April? Are they really serious about this, letting the customer wait for almost a month? I have to say its my first MBP but also through experiences with the iPhone and iPod I get the impression Apple is a really ******, not customer-caring company.

Still waiting :(

I ordered my 17" i7 MBP within an hour of the store coming back online after the update...

This is what my order status page says:

I dont remember the last time it was updated...
EDIT: Just FYI - its said "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" since day 1 of shipment... Also, Current delivery status has stayed the same, and the date changed today to todays date... Bah!

I also ordered Applecare, but didnt realise they would need to combine the orders... This is just an agreement right? Surely this could be done via a webpage once you know the serial number of your machine?
Should have ordered this separately :(

I did however, get an email from the Apple Online Store Support team last Friday (the 23rd of April), saying:

Dear Mr. Grimes,

European air traffic is returning to normal levels of service.

We are happy to advise that your order should be delivered next week.

We will contact you with more specific delivery information as it becomes available.

Kind regards,
Apple Online Store Support

ok mine arrived, the 15" hi-res is massive compared to 13"

well I did not do much on it yet, but I am have a play when I get home.

Re the apple care extension, I phoned apple and a dude asked me to send them a proof of delivery, told him he must be joking me since they shipped it to me and they should have it available.

He is sorting it out for me and even got a case number, will report on progress just for those of you on the list who may be interested.

I could shoot myself for ordering this stupid remote with my MBP! There's a store just around the corner with remotes in stock, but no...I wanted those few bucks saved with the education store:(!

I think last week's mail from Apple, which promises delivery this week is overly optimistic. I ordered on the 13th, it shipped on the 17th and no update since then except they keep pushing back my delivery date:confused:!
I'm not even sure if my MBP really shipped. It could still be somewhere in China....

In only one day time the estimated delivery date has been pushed back from 11 May to 12 May and now to 13 May.

Exactly same for me mate, but must be even more frustrating for you as I ordered on the 16th, it was dispatched on the 17th, and the only change I have had is Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule has changed from 26 to 27 Apr 2010.

Like I said, I phoned yesterday and they assured me it was in transit to the UK centre where it would be sorted, combined then I would be given a tracking number but I think this could be bull upon their behalf. How long does it take for all that to happen? Luxembourg-UK flight is around an hour or so, then lets say combining and sorting can't take more than half of day. If they really wanted to give a good customer experience they would at least break a sweat over this!

Order status updated(merge...):

Carrier Tracking Number

NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

I phoned apple store and they told me my MBP is in Lux. now and it'll arrive in Holand by 4pm, so TNT or UPS is going to pick it out at 7pm. Then they'll send me an email with the real tracking no.:D

Exactly the same boat for me too guys. ;)

The same sequence of events, and dates.

Mine changed from 26th to 27th today too.

Im so angry, its such a stupid way to do things. Just send me my god damn sleeve another time. I just want the book here.

Better late than never I suppose. The MBP might even arrive before you get a tracking number...

So I'm just off the phone with Apple's Customer Support. I've been given, courtesy of Iceland's Volcano, multiple delivery dates. The most recent of which is today, the last of which is the 5th of May.

After phoning their Customer Support I have been informed that my MBP is still somewhere between Shanghai and me. I have been given an estimated delivery of the 3rd of May.

I'm finding it somewhat ridiculous that my order is taking so long to deliver. Ordered on the 13th, with an upgraded hard drive and some accompanying bits. If I'd known that I was going to be sitting through this kind of wait I would have just bought things in store and upgraded the drive myself...

Great Job UPS, Great Job!!!
Been waiting home since morning to crab the delivery and still nothing. It's really nice to waste one day for this. People have to work, study and so on and these guys are having a lunch whole day...

And this is in Helsinki. There can't be so much stuff to deliver since it's a small town.
