Thanks for the advice. I'm going to have to add the Applecare now because I want the discount and I don't live anywhere near an apple store (so phone support comes in v. useful if/when things go wrong). I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer and take up residence in this thread.

For your reference, I ordered a MBP on the 16th with a F*ucking Apple remote (excuse my French).

Delivery date quoted as 10th May at the earliest. I have no idea where my order is at the moment (nor does Apple).

Even the bloody Post Office gives you a tracking number for God's sake!

I ordered a standard 13 inch 2.4 ghz MBP on 19th April on the apple UK website and i'm still waiting for a delivery date safe in the knowledge that after viewing the shipping information I will have to throw it straight into the recycling bin on arrival to offset my carbon footprint 🙂

hmm, I think I will plant some trees in the garden instead......

I have the exact same order on the exact same flight. My delivery date disappeared for a while, but now it seems to be the 29th (which means it's very close, yikes!). I live in Helsinki, Finland.

Strange. Even though I got a nice email from Apple saying that I would get my laptop tomorrow, still no change on my expected delivery date on the apple website or a tracking number. I really hope that wasn't generic. Will be staying in home all day tomorrow if Apple are to be trusted.

Maybe they read this thread and have hired ninjas to get them to us.

or the row saying

This is getting a tad more frustrating for each day in this limbo of ignorance.

finally got mine updated!
Heres the deal for UK CTO orders, from the mouth of an apple exec.;
the tracking details are only updated when the MBP is in the UK, (near birmingham). from here, a carrier is assigned as you all know, but once the carrier is assigned, delivery is within 48 hrs, so we dont have to wait for all the crappy tracking info regarding poland, cologne etc.

Well, it's certainly not the row saying 'shipment on schedule'; mine said 26th and just changed to 27th as the day ticked over.

Also received the email suggesting it would arrive tomorrow, but with no change to the order status. I contacted apple yesterday and they said it would be tagged with a tracking number when it reached the UK. So I have doubts it will actually materialise - since it suggests its not yet arrived.

Hi guys, just wanted to say that my Merge in transit order from NL is now assigned to a carrier (TNT) and on his way to Switzerland😀! I even got a new tracking number from TNT, nice!

The Apple tracking site has been updated as well and now changed from the previous estimated delivery date May 3rd to April 30th. But according to TNT I'll get my new shiny MBP and this damn remote this Wednesday, sweet😛!!

I've got the same now, I have now got the tracking number, put it in both UPS and TNT and have no result. It's just the same number as my Delivery Ref. number. Hoping on the delivery tomorrow too 🙂 Will be out of the house from 7am-12am so for once I hope it doesn't arrive in the morning.

I mentioned earlier that my order was due to be delivered on the 3rd. My shipping just updated with a tracking number and a delivery date of the 29th. This makes me ridiculously happy to FINALLY have a tracking number.
