I just called then again and yes I am disappointed. It is now in the UK, but although the status had gone though the 'assigning to carrier' stage it still hasn't been assigned to a carrier. Once it has it will apparently take up to 48 hours to get to me, so maybe tomorrow, maybe friday!

48 hours to assign a carrier? WHAAAAAAT?

What a load of BULLS*HIT! I can't believe we're dealing with Apple here!
Can't organise a piss up in a brewery!

Just got mine..

15" hires antiglare, i7, 7200 drive..

screen looks perfect.

just transferring my old data from my time machine backup.. 20 mins to go

Should also say, was originally scheduled to arrive in about a week- got an email yesterday to say it was coming early - and it arrived at work today.

V Glad I went for the hi-res antiglare :)

Yeah I use it and I have to say that the push notifications are efficient. the only downside is the minimum 1h update rate. Otherwise perfect
yes pitty that we cannot set the refresh rate to smething lower. I'm refreshing it manually quite often so the push notification is useless.

But push can bring you good surprises... It woke me up last night when my TNT tracking got its first entry :)

If you guys not that TNT will be your carrier you can use these widgets/apps and track TNT by "reference" with your 811XXXXXXX number. That way it will tell you when your tracking becomes active. I've been able to track my package that way before my apple order status was updated with the final carrier info

for some reason my macbookpro is in warsaw poland!?!?!
had a look through the thread and most seem to come into 'midland' airport or cologne when they set of from korea... strange

Ok, but the initial notification comes from the Widget, right ? So I have to leave my MB running, don't I ?

Yep you have to, but it works great. I tried the trackthis iPhone app but it's ugly and non functional...

The easiest way is simply too wait...but who can???

Not time wasting at all! I'll really miss the forum once I get my Macbook Pro...

By the way, your MBP has arrived... not stranded in Shangai any longer, you shouldn't be on this thread no more!
Are you missing the forum also?

Haha, thanks. Afterall, I have met quite a lot of new people here while waiting and after creating the thread, so definitely I will miss this thread! Hope you can get yours real soon! x

I don't get it...

my shipment at last got a tracking number!!

I ordered on the 14th April in the early hours.
I got a 15"MBP with antiglare and 7200 harddrive. and some software, Expected delivery showed as 28th APril
I got a order shipped email on the 17th , and like everyone else , got held up in the ash cloud.
Then my delivery date got moved to 5th MAy.

until last night i was still waiting a tracking number , as i was a merge in transit number, in the early hours last night it got updated and i got one with an out for delivery today (28th) , so im now sat behind the door waiting haha.

So i think theres some hope for people with long delivery times expected, mine is going to arrive as scheduled when i first bought.

In fact the UPs van just puleed up OMG got to go, fingers xd for everyone and hopefully well all get ours soon!!

How can you get it shipped so early? I ordered mine the 16th of April, and it hasn't shipped yet  But the estimated delivery hasn't changed. All i see under Estimated Shipping is 7 business days. Today it is 8 business days since i ordered? I don't get it!

So.... do we know if ANY of the European (non UK) "merge in NL" orders have actually been delivered yet??

My order was dispatched from China over a week ago and since then I've heard nothing.

This is incredibly slow....
Why doesn't Apple just post them?? It's quicker AND you get a tracking number!

Yes, one of my friends, who ordered on the 14th and shipped on the 17th, got his MacBook Pro and printer yesterday. His order was a "Merge in transit NL". They should start arriving very soon.

I ordered on the 15th and got shipped on the 24th (so late). My current shipment states:

"Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 29 Apr 2010"

What does this even mean? Does it arrive at the NL DC tomorrow? Hopefully I get some information soon, or I'll be calling up Apple Support once again :p

My MBP 15 i7 is finally here!
HiRes AntiGlare Screen definitely worths money. It's just magical and awesome :D

OK, so what does this mean??

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change)
11 May 2010 (Subject to change)

Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule
01 May 2010

As it's only 28th April, the 1st May date shown is not the date the message was updated obviously.

So does it mean it will be delivered on 1st May (Saturday)? or still expect it to arrive on 11th May??

Thanks

Mines the same. I saw the internal view and it seems Apple requested a delay - I speculate because its a bank holiday weekend. My guess is you'll receive your order between 4-6 May unless the shipment gets to the DC by Thursday night which there is a slight possibility of.

Did you receive a tracking number?? I'm on the same situation but my "Shipment on Schedule" date is 29th Apr (tomorrow)

My shioment on schedule was 27th, that day they updated and my mbp arrived at NL so they gave me the tracking no. 2 days later (tomorrow) I'll have it;)
