They didn't really "remove" the 128GB model, they simply doubled the RAM in the 32GB and 128GB models which occupied those slots. Yes, I realise that means that the 128GB is no longer an option but if they had simply 'removed' the 128GB model then it would be 32GB and 256GB and that would be quite different.
the storage capacity is not RAM :)

I didn't want to be stuck with just 64Gb in my new 8 so opted for 256, even if I don't use all that storage Its good to have with 4k and not rely on iCloud!

If it goes to 512 GB, be prepared to spend $1,200-1,300 for that on iPhone. Maybe more.

Ah, the Jitterbug phone will start looking real good. Seriously 256GB is overkill already. That is what my MBP has. 512 is just comical for 99% of the population. Apple needs to find a different way to justify price hikes going forward. Apple is really straddling the edge here.

Its not just about access and uploading. You're also creating a second copy of the photos and video. If you lose your device then you can get your pictures back by downloading them again.

syncing across multiple devices/computers.
(at least, in my usages)

Theoretically backup/sync should be easy to do for free on your home WiFi to a home backup drive/computer. At most you would risk only the photos/files you made on a particular day if you made any while out and about. To me that tiny risk isn’t worth paying however much per month forever. But Apple doesn’t allow an automatic wireless backup of iOS devices at home though because they want people to pay iCloud subscriptions.

I don't. I just have the stuff on there I want to listen to at the time, and not everything in the entire history of my media usage.

That’s great if it works for you but personally I don’t want to juggle my media.

What do you do with 256GB of storage? My iPhone 6 w/ 64GB is only 65% full and I could cut it down easily if I needed to. I'm genuinely curious as I can't figure out why people need so much storage.

We are all rich people who can afford a 1K iPhone. Where some of us struggle to pay our monthly bills, yet we will get the iPhone 10 because we must. Thanks Apple for putting us in debt more.....Thank you! LOL
hmmm... You might want to talk to this guy...

256gb iPhone X, that’s the go big or go home smart phone.
64GB is an insult at that price. Should be 128GB and 512GB models. (Maybe a 256GB) but 64GB is definitely out... I wouldn’t know why Apple would even bother to make them at this point as iPhone X is going to be crazy hard to get anyway.

Keep it for 3 years, making the cost about $1.10/day. 3 years from now, the min/max for flagship phones will be 256GB/1TB.

That sweet 4K full speed video.... I never took a lot myself, but an hour is many GB. Also games are getting larger. I routinely skip many AAA iPhone fames because they push 1.5GB each now. I’d expect AR apps to gobble even more.

yeah, not quite sure if you realize how beneficial syncing is or why people would do it.

also not quite sure if you're speaking like "I don't understand why people might use iCloud sync.. will you explain?"
-or-
if it's more like "I don't have a need for iCloud therefore nobody does and it's a ripoff".

if it's the former, i'll type it up.. if it's the latter then.. coolGood4U

Tired of myth on the iPhone X being the premier of the $1000 iPhone.
You know its $999. But seriously..

2017: $999 + sales tax > $1000 (iPhone X 64GB)
2014: $959 + sales tax > $1000 (iPhone 6 plus 128GB)

Look it up.
[doublepost=1506975044][/doublepost]The iPhone X "edge to edge display" is a myth. Developers who write applications "edge to edge" will likely be rejected. Apple wants them to stay in the "safe area". Don't trade-up your "plus" size iPhone thinking you aren't giving up significant screen space.

thing is, the areas falling outside of the 'safe area' in those images will be occupied by things that would otherwise be shrinking the app canvas on other phones.
like, the status info goes up in the nooks.. on another iPhone, the status info encroaches upon the app canvas.. effectively shrinking the available space on a rectangular screen.

1500 for the X (most likely get in Feb) have for about 8 months till the 9 comes out which will be a much refined X for another 1500. iPhone debt....the next bubble.

Oh, that's probably just because 64gb at this point is egregiously insulting, beyond pointless, and utterly hamstrings the iPhoneX.

Apple has absolutely no interest in you buying the 64gb version, and have done everything they can to make it a fake option.

High frame-rate 4K video and 12mp photos fill up 64gb pretty quickly. So quickly it's a joke, actually. A cruel, greedy, completely-Apple-like joke.
And I’m still managing on 16 gigs...

Following iOS 11 update my usage reduced to 30GB, which leaves over 80GB unused. I might ve’ to rethink my storage option before the 27th, I’d be royally pissed if I missed the X whilst pondering over the storage at checkout:confused:

good, I'm getting the 64gb one so glad more ppl want more gb. i have 16gb phone now and only have 10gb used

Poll question specifically asks: Which feature of the iPhone X is most attractive to you?
@nikhsub1 calls respondents stupid for not acknowledging the iPhone 8... in a question about the iPhone X

Pretty ironic dontcha think?

"Yup"
- Alanis Morissette probably... Lana Kane most likely
Not ironic, moronic. If these people have wireless charging at the top of their list in features for a phone, the 8 and 8+ fit the bill.
