pending reservation email

Hey everyone - I'm in a bit of bind. I have a reservation with Apple since I couldn't get through last night and got an email this morning to order through Apple. Since I couldn't get through last night, I ordered it through Verizon. Problem is, my phone is gonna get shipped to my parent's house in new york.

Anyways, I called verizon this morning to change the address and they said I can't change the address for preorders and would need to cancel the order and place it again.

I can't check the delivery date for the reservation since there's an order in place for it (through verizon)

My question is this: Do you guys think I should just cancel the verizon preorder and take my chance with apple's reservation and hope it gets delivered on 11/3? or should I just hit up fedex the moment my phone ships to reroute the delivery?

I know some people were able to get verizon to change the address but I called and chatted online and both reps said the same thing: cancel the order and order it again.
 
Still waiting for my follow-up email to complete my “reservation” order...
 
All, if you got the we got your reservation email, go check the status of it now, I didnt get an email and I was ready to go to continue on in the process. Getting mine next week!
 
Received 3 reservations emails. Checked them all, 2 the system could not find. My first one it did find. However, since my order went through after getting the reservation notice early this morning, it wants to charge full price.

The reservation process DOES tell you the ship date estimate. So even if you have an order in already on that line, it will tell you the date. My reservation was still showing a 2-3 week delivery date so I just stayed with my order.

So in theory, if you cancel your order and use the reservation order (if it has a better date), that should work.
 
Ok guys I just got the complete your order email....so I think you guys are gonna start receiving them. good luck

Wait, so if I ordered a second one with the same apple id, I will not be able to complete a reservation until my first one is out of the pending state?
 
Looks like things are opening up guys, keep checking the reservation status page and your email inbox.
 
Really unfair that a pending credit check glitch didn't give me a reservation. I called CitizenOne and they said there was a ery brief systems outage for their qualification of IUP and it affected some users. Lucky me! Instead of holding my initially-claimed 11/3 release day pickup at the Apple Store the subsequent email said to go ahead and place a new order. I should have placed another preorder even though it cautioned not to because by the time the second email arrived there was no Apple Store pickup option and shipping slipped 5-6 weeks
 
GUYS!! DON'T WAIT FOR THE EMAIL. I JUST CHECKED MY RESERVATION NUMBER AND IT WAS READY. GOT APPROVED FROM CITIZEN'S ONE, WELCOME TO APPLE UPGRADE PROGRAM!! LEAD TIME 2-3 WEEKS FOR IPHONE X 256GB!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I placed my first order with Nov3, got some BS reservation notification.
Placed the order again and it went through with Nov17-24.

Got first reservation email about 1.5hrs later.
Called Apple to see if I can get my reservation Nov3 date.
They said, since I placed a second order (Nov17-24.), my reservation was canceled (Nov3).

What a horrible system they have.
 
Has anyone been able to get it under AT&T Next... I canceled my Best Buy order and it’s saying I’m ineligible for AT&T Next, have to pay full price.
 
All times are Pacific.

1st email about reservation received at 0241.

2nd email to complete check out received at 1027.

3rd email order confirmation with 11/3 delivery received at 1033.

Tried calling Apple about this, their phone message says “Thank you for calling Apple. Due to extremely high call volumes, we are unable to answer your call at this time. Please try again later”.

Lol wtf?

Bah... mine says November 17-24 delivery. Guess I’ll probably stick to my November 10th Best Buy order unless Apple bumps it up.

I wonder from past experience if anyone waited more than 11 hours to get the initial email. Seems like most people here received at least the initial email saying their phone was reserved
 
Went through my first email and completed the order. It’s not Nov 3rd but I’ll live with 17th-24th.

I got the "phone is reserved" email at 2:43am. Order was placed at 12:13am. Still waiting...
 
So how come I did not get a reservation? Seems only if the phone upgrade qualification part failed did anyone get their "spot in line" retained. Stupid Apple developers should do this when THEIR servers for IUP enrollment fail. Instead I had to go to the back of the line. I had a 11/3 preorder!
 
Just got my email - I received the reservation notice just as orders were slipping to 2-3 weeks shipping.

Process completed and estimated delivery is Friday.

Nice but my point is that I never received the reserved email...All I ever saw was a screen pop up with - we reserved a phone for you and had a reservation starts with B which I never wrote down.
 
Same boat. Reservation pop-up just after 3am EST, reservation email at 5:41am EST, no followup yet. Been checking Spam folder all day. No super concerned, my current phone still works
