Finally received the email to complete the order. Looks like that five minutes in between 2nd and 3rd order cost me some time in delivery. Expected date is Nov 17-24 for kids phone.
 
Has anyone been able to get it under AT&T Next... I canceled my Best Buy order and it’s saying I’m ineligible for AT&T Next, have to pay full price.

I'm sort of in the same situation as you. I ordered via Apple Store app, got "reservation" message and subsequent emails ("Your iPhone has been reserved" and "Important information about your iPhone reservation").

In the meantime I ordered it through Best Buy for a Nov 10th store pick up.

In the past, when I have canceled an order it took a while for ATT's system to catch up and release the upgrade that was used by Best Buy.

You might want to call ATT or chat and tell them that you canceled and want them to process it. That way you can go back and commit the Apple Store transaction.


For me, do I roll the dice with BB and Nov 10th?

Or sure thing it with Apple for 2-3 week delivery (which I guess is Nov 17-24)?
 
Just got my email! Needed to confirm zip and last 4 social of the primary account holder. Order placed and will be delivered Nov 3rd. Had me nervous but looks like the reservation system worked perfectly.
 
I had double ordered on same number in Verizon account. Got the first reservation email from Apple App and was trying to book on Verizon site at same time and Verizon went through 11/3 delivery SG 256G.

When prompted by the landing screen in 2nd email, I entered reservation number and the same phone number I had gotten on the Verizon site.

That took me to the landing page with the phone number filled in. At this point, I changed the number to my wife's number and Apple used the new number to look up my account information and book me a 2nd phone on a different number on my account.

11/3 SG 256G.

So. Even though both the Verizon site order and the hold were on the same number, I was able to change it and get a 2nd phone delivered for 11/3.
 
Good news everyone, mine finally came through. For reference:

3:08AM EST: Silver IPhone X 64GB AT&T Next Processing Failed, screenshot of Reservation Code
5:41AM EST: First Confirmation Email of Reservation Code
2:00PM EST: 2nd Confirmation Email indicating purchase is ready to proceed
2:03PM EST: Order complete, 11/3 Delivery - Email Received Confirming!

YES!

I received the second email and I was ready to complete it when it only gives me the option for full price at 999 I clicked on att next but for some reason it only allows me at full price with delivery date of the 11/3
not sure what to do
 
So I finally got the second email to finish ordering the reservation. Typed in my Verizon info (which I know is correct) and again get

We're sorry. We can't find your account information with Verizon. Please verify your information and try again.

*sigh* Well done, Apple/Verizon. Two of the biggest companies in the world and you can't even talk to each other...in 2017.

I got this reservation stuff (with the follow) up.

But it's for cash, and I have a completed order with Next. Some kind of duplicate. (don't need 2)

It does say Nov 3 though :D
 
I'm a little pissed now. When I ordered last night, in store pick up was available on the 3rd at 9-10am. I selected that and then got the reservation notice. I just got the second email, followed the link, and only shipping in 2 to 3 weeks was available. No in store pick up. I did a quick chat with Apple and was told, basically, that I'm lucky to get it in 2 to 3 weeks. Alternatively, I was told I could go on launch day and wait in line ... Looks like reservations with in store pick ups may not be honored
 
Is there a way to tell when your phone is delivered from the registration email? I ordered and it says delivered by the 24th. Then my reservation came in about 10am. Should I cancel original order and go with the email reservation?
 
Wow. Just got the email and am trying to check out fully and delivery is now 3+ weeks. I previously selected in store pickup last night (with available pickup for the 3rd) and now it is showing as not available. This happening with anyone else?
 
So has anyone NOT gotten any emails ??? I only saw the screen but didn’t screenshot it so I don’t know the reservation number

Yeah i just ordered my reservation via AT&T next, with 11/3 delivery date. I didnt do any additional orders from AT&T's site or best buy though. Maybe call AT&T and tell then that you canceled the best buy order and open your line again for upgrade so you can do it thru the reservation.

I went through the process with a iPhone 8 to check and see if Apple can see if the line is eligible to AT&T Next, it verified by being able to select between the two AT&T Next plans. So, AT&T isn't the issue... it's Apple being slow, perhaps the demand has caused this issue.

But I plan on speaking with Apple, not AT&T to address this issue.

I saw the screen pop up saying I have a reservation but didn’t take screenshot. I haven’t gotten any emails at all. Has this happened to anyone else, I’m worried.
EXACTLY the case with me. I tried to then order again and got another notification saying there is already pending reservation and to wait for an email. Never got anything
 
I received the original email, received the second email letting me know that it was ready to place my order but any attempt to look up the reservation # says "Sorry we could not find your reservation...". I also called Verizon and they confirmed they did see an order for the iphone X requested from apple so I'm not sure what the hell is happening now..

Same thing happened with me. Although I ended up trying to order after the first message and completed an order through apple. Wondering if that canceled out the earlier reservation.

I have a question. I got my "complete your order" thing. But I'm stuck because it doesn't like my Visa/Debit card. It's the same card I use with Apple Pay. Is there another option here? Or can't I purchase from Apple?

At least you're getting an option... mine takes me through the process, says that I can only do store pickup, then when I click continue I get an empty "Basket" screen.

I'm about to say f-it and just get a Pixel 2.
