At 3:15am ET I got a popup that said they reserved a phone for me because they couldn't contact my carrier. I didn't trust it but I got an email at 1:50pm yesterday saying I had 24 hours to complete the order. Reservations are valid.

I really am starting to think there isn’t one. :|

FWIW - I'm having this same problem and have spent hours on the phone with numerous Apple reps. Most recently, I called and asked very directly to change the shipping address associated with my iPhone X reservation. I stated that I had updated my AT&T billing address from a PO Box to a physical address, but their system was not recognizing the update. The rep took my reservation #, email address, and Apple ID and said she manually sent it to a supervisor and they would update the information on the reservation. When I asked for a case number or a direct phone number to call back in case it didn't work, she was unable to provide either of them. She sounded very confident that this would fix the issue, but seems more like she just wanted to get me off the phone.
 
I currently wanted 1 phone on 11/3. I now have 3 reserved, two for 11/3 and one shortly after.

We decided after the fact to keep both 11/3 phones for me and wife and our local carrier store suggested we keep all 3 phones in queue in case there's a problem and besides, they'd be more than happy to put one of them back into their physical inventory.

AND I don't feel the least bit bad about it. I didn't create this circus; it's not my rodeo. 'This kind of crap' is the natural outcome of this kind of process.

And you’re part of the problem, the natural outcome isn’t keeping phones and reservations you don’t need. Not a surprise as most people are self centered and inconsiderate.

Im still getting the same error loop. I think she just wanted to get you off the phone.

That you think I do or should might be a problem, but it's not my problem.

I don't normally engage in tit for tat and I'm done. But YOU came here all judgemental about people who are just trying their best to keep their queue in line; a place they earned by extensive researching and trying to follow the rules.

I have a reservation that expires at noon today. Already have a nov 3 confirmed via ATT. Contemplating using this reservation and paying full price just to resell. Since I can’t use my next upgrade twice need to pay in full.

I'm pretty certain that it won't let you proceed on the same phone number if it sees an order there. It might, but if it doesn't, you might have to switch to another number on your account to make that work.

Enter the phone number you originally booked to get into the reservation and then change that prefilled number to another number on your account.
 
I have been trying to get through to apple support for the past day to fix a problem with my reservation... every time it just says high call volumes and hangs up

Any advice?

The only way I could get Apple on the phone yesterday was to call my carrier, AT&T, and after they realized they couldn’t help me they transferred me to Apple and then they sent me to sales.

Yes it will. Happened to me. Used next on att.com on both of my lines. Then had a reservation emailed from Apple. Checked out fine on same number...of course paid full price. I resold that one to my buyer in Dubai already so that’s good.
 
This is a unique problem:
I got the Pending Reservation email, clicked on it and had to make a choice between two ATT purchase plans- despite paying outright for the phone when I ordered it at 3:04 am- so I picked one of the plans because it appeared there was no other choice. Now, I have 2 phones on order with different order numbers. The original order is Preparing for Shipment and the second order is Pending. Both have 11/3 delivery dates I don’t really want 2 phones. Should I simply wait until they’re both delivered and just return one? I’m concerned that if I cancel one outright now, that I’ll end up getting nothing.

I’m in the same boat as you. I have 2 orders showing in the App Store app. One has a delivery date of 11/3 and the other is 11/17. Two separate “W” order numbers. I don’t know what’s going on. Just gonna wait and see if I get a shipping email next week. Any new ideas ?

You obviously have a hard time understanding. I’m all for keeping phones you are actually going to use. But keeping reservations for no reason only ruins delivery times for others.

Not sure how much more clear I can be.

My reservation disappeared this morning. I called Apple and they told me to order another phone with 5-6 week delivery and then in the next 24-48 hours that second order will convert to the first order and the Nov 3 delivery will be honored .... Okay ....

they just told me to refresh the page aloy. and now their phone lines are super busy. ugh

i called them about this yesterday too and they said they are aware of the issues and just to keep refreshing.
 
Try 1-800-676-2775. Respond with "Speak to representative" then "Sales"

Thanks for tip but for the life of me I can't get through to speak to someone.

I'm getting the "We’re sorry. We can’t find your reservation. Please verify your information and try again." when entering my reservation/phone number.
