Thanks for all the replies! I hope everyone was able to get the phone they wanted and are at least receiving it in Nov. Macrumors crashed for me as I was trying to post the thread. I was able to buy one but got on the second round of shipping. Looks like my issue was inputting the wrong last 4 of ssn. I'm on a family plan with my brother as the main user. Just glad I'm getting in the first month lol. Now for my first cup of coffee in what is sure to be a looooonnngggg day.

For those who already got the 2nd email, what phone network are you on? I'm on AT&T, got the 1st email reservation at 5:41AM EST. Seems at the moment I can't even login into wireless.att.com to try and check my upgrade status, figures...

I’m just worried that I already did a AT&T Next with Best Buy.

Should I cancel the order? Will this reservation get me the 3rd? Or a later date...
 
I got this message at 3:11am EST and have still not received even one email. I tried going to that site but it says “Your request couldn’t be processed.
We’re sorry, but there was an error processing your request. Please try again later.”
 
Wow. I wish I had saved myself a few minutes of frenzied clicking. I got my reservation email and just completed the order with a 11/3 delivery. I wish I had paid more attention to that screen but I cleared it in all the haste.

However. I still have an separate order for 12/5. Should I cancel that one?
 
App Store opened for me at 3:03 and I received the same message and that the carrier servers couldn’t be reached. Continued to try and got my order in at 3:06. Silver,256, AT&T- Nov 3 delivery.

Hopefully all those who received that message get their phones on launch day.
 
Got the message that it was on reserve as well and they would email me once they contacted my carrier. Never got such email. I went to sleep not content. Woke up at 6am and opened my AT&T app and managed to pre order there with November 3 delivery date. Looks like order with Apple never went thru as it wouldn’t have showed my upgrade on AT&T app. Here’s pic of what I originally got at 3:16 am.

Yes, you can go all the way to adding it to your cart. I've clicked through to cart to see the delivery date (followed by deleting from cart) a few times since getting the second email (still waiting on canceling my other orders).

Where did you order from on the others?

I’m still waiting on the second email... I’m sure I’ll have to contact AT&T to reverse it or perhaps call Best Buy to speak with AT&T on my behalf.
 
Not sure what's going on. I just got my Next ATT agreement email, but this 'reservation' thing is still pending, with no mention of it on my order status page.

Why would they say: "you have 24 hours to complete your order or it will be cancelled" ? This just seems wrong to me. (I'm losing it :D )

Did you get any errors when trying to order? Then perhaps continue placing another order? Maybe you got the reservation screen but dismissed it and tried again? Just an idea.

That's what I did. I glanced at it, saw the reservation number I eventually got but cleared it to keep trying to order. Woke up a few minutes ago and decided to check email (TIM COOK REACHED OUT AND SAID 'USE THE FORCE') and saw the email. Now ordered. Never had any clue they might do things this way. Brilliant.

Oh I see what you saying. It could be a glitch with some duplicate info. Very good! I have what looks like a complete order, but there might have been a ghost order (I'm guessing of course). It would make sense, but it's strange. There was no indication of a failed attempt though; But it was quick, and I was tired....

I checked the email for reservation and it shows I have to pay it up front att next not avail “ I guess “ because I already used that option to order my iPhone x. Should I be concerned? I did get an order comfirmation n I see the tax charge?

The reservation is also 11/03 delivery... it shows pay 1,149 today or iPhone upgrade plan...
 
I am trying to cancel my Apple.com order and use the RSVP link they sent me :/ so far no cancel button is up. anyone know how long from order placed to processing takes?

I’m just waiting for ATT to open. But they also have charged me for the taxes already.

Same here, same exact time even. 5:42 am. Still waiting. But I also just placed a second order through Best Buy a few minutes ago, paid outright for 11/10 store pickup. No carrier information required. So that’ll be my backup plan if I’m unable to complete the Apple order for any reason. (I’m concerned that my current device payment plan might be a roadblock)

I went through the process from the email even though I had a confirmed order for 12/5 and it still says AT&T Next for me. I'm curious though if I should cancel the December order. My card has not yet been charged and I'm seeing others got charged almost immediately for their 11/3 delivery.

I never got through successfully with Apple, wasn’t very smooth process as I was expecting. I knew checking servers would be a problem, perhaps taking a long time to connect.... but never would of thought that it would not connect at all.

Taxes has already been charged on my card along with the installment plan attached on my account. I’m just not sure if Best Buy will honor their estimated 11/3 pick up date.

AT&T is still showing Nov 3-10, not sure if I believe that. My cousin got 3 launch day orders from Apple. I’ll just sit here and obsessively wait for this magical email with probably a shi**y delivery date.
