AT&T is still showing Nov 3-10, not sure if I believe that. My cousin got 3 launch day orders from Apple. I’ll just sit here and obsessively wait for this magical email with probably a shi**y delivery date.
I’m confident we’ll get 11/3 date from these Apple reservation emails. I’m just not confident I’ll be able to order it without messing up my iPhone 7 payment plan.

So my order status is showing "Order in Progress" but I also received the reservation e-mail. I have not received the promised second e-mail. Am I going to be OK or are they canceling orders off of this for some reason?
 
This 'pending reservation' came up for me last night as well. I didnt know what it meant so I just kept ordering and got my order in a minute later, silver 64 AUP. Now this morning I see I have the reservation email. I clicked it, and it is making me buy it through ATT Next program. It doesnt give any other payment options. That was never one of my choices in my Favorites. I wont complete the order process but whats up with that?? Forcing me to reserve and pay by Next?? Glad I just kept punching the keys .
 
Looking for ADVICE - Ordered right on time but ONLY received an email that my phone is being reserved and I need to wait for further diretion/another email from Apple becuase they can not reach my carrier....WTF. Anyway, does that mean my phone has been reserved and they are just sorting through things with carrier before i order or does that mean that i am sitting here with no phone reserved letting the delivery date slip further and further out. I cant believe i woke up at 3am for this bullcrap.
 
When I placed my order via apple I was in the 2-3 week window, then I got the reservation message.

I got the email saying the same, to wait for the email to complete the order.

Just for S&G's I went to Best Buy and they still had pick up at store date of Nov 10.
So I ordered from there....hope it works out well for me :)

It means they saved your place in line at the time it happened. You should be 11/3 if that’s what it said on your order screen before you got to the reservation part.

Got this from att. Should I just stick with att and cancel the Apple preorder? I’m worried if att cancels the order, Apple won’t recognize the eligible to upgrade is back online and I won’t be able to get it through the next plan.

I think I saw a few of you did the same thing I did. I wasn't expecting the reserved message, and at the time some things were timing out...it was just a couple minutes after the store went online. I wasn't sure if I really ordered a phone or not. Went ahead and went through the process again. Got the regular confirmation, but by that time the shipping had slipped to 2-3 weeks.

This morning I see I received two messages for the reserved phone. Clicked on the complete button but I couldn't finish the order because it found another order, the second one, using the same phone number.

The phone is for my wife, so I'd kinda like to have it for her on the release date...which I believe would happen with the reserved order. Not a biggie, but the IUP for my phone when through and will be in the first wave.

i am in the same boat but I have not received the second email yet.
I am guessing we need to reach out to Apple on this, I don't want to risk losing my 2-3 week delivery by canceling it for the reserved order that "hopefully" goes through.
Keep us posted though on what you find out.
 
I had this issue last night but after a few attempts I got to make a regular order (17-24 nov delivery). Now I received the email about completing my order ini order to keep the priority. Any way to know what priority this is to see if it's "better" than the one I got through the regular order?
 
Ok. I have to preorders. One from Apple and on from att. I just talked to an att representative and I got confirmation that my iPhone will be delivered on 11/3 and I also just got the email from att stating that date and it has been submitted and preparing for shipment.

I also got an Apple email stating delivery date 11/3 but I’m not eligible to upgrade my phone since I used that feature on the att app. I’m just going to cancel the Apple preorder. Or I don’t have to do anything since I have 24 hours to complete my order for the delivery date 11/3. If not done before 24 hours, the preorder will cancel itself.

In my case, I already have the "second" order show up in my profile/appstore app, with the delivery date and everything. And as you say, I'm afraid of clicking "complete order" on the email I received about my reservation and mess up the order.

Yep, I'm in the same boat. Although after I went through the App funnel and was notified that I had a phone reserved (Space Grey) and would be getting an email, I picked up a Silver via the ATT app (apparently for 11/3 delivery). Hoping that purchase doesn't mess up the Apple reservation thing..
 
OK. This is strange?

First I got the "Important information about your iPhone reservation" with the same reservation number and order number

Then I got the "Your iPhone has been reserved" with the exact same reservation number and order number.

So I clicked the link for the on the first email and it took me to the link to pay via ATT Next program

Then I clicked the link for the on the second email and it took me to the same link to pay via ATT Next program

I did it again on both with the same results so I just paid full price on the next portion. well actually $969 as it wouldn't let me pay all at once since it is on next. No problem I'll just pay the $30 off when I get the bill.

Now here is the kicker.

Now when I go onto the Apple Store App I have 2 phones in the order que. with 2 different order numbers. There was only one originally beforehand.

One says "in progress"

The other says "Order placed"

WTF?

I guess i have to wait and see what happens to the "Order placed" order?

BTW. Both are still set to ship on 11-3?


Thoughts?


 
Didn't read all of the posts in this thread, but it seems that most of these reservation emails involve the AT&T Next program. I got one of these reservation emails, but I selected the Apple installment program and NOT AT&T Next (or at least I think that I did). Did anyone else get a reservation with the Apple Installment Plan?

I bought outright and am still waiting on that 2nd email..
 
Like others stated my concern is that not only I didn't get any emails but also if I now try to order it will let me through the apple app as if I never ordered before and also on att it still shows IL eligible for upgrade

probably because all we have is a spot or place holder in line right now, Apple cannot connect to AT&T's upgrade services so the line shows as available. Hopefully the reservation we have will honor the place in line and we get the delivery date that showed when we initially went to preordered the phone
 
I called Apple to find out what was up? I was finally able to get an order through at 3:51 (only took almost 2 hours!!) with a ship date of Dec 11-18- ugh!!

Then at 4:45 I got the reservation email.

He told me since I have a W order number- the order for December is all set. He thinks the reservation email may have been an email that was in queue that took longer to send.

Not sure- but he said to disregard the reservation email- I have a phone ordered. Would love to have switched the Dec order to the reservation one hopefully with an earlier delivery- but I’m not going to mess with it- I’ll just wait until December

I ordered a Sprint Phone- and Sprint servers were not connecting last night.
