Didn't read all of the posts in this thread, but it seems that most of these reservation emails involve the AT&T Next program. I got one of these reservation emails, but I selected the Apple installment program and NOT AT&T Next (or at least I think that I did). Did anyone else get a reservation with the Apple Installment Plan?

Yes, I ordered through the Apple Installment Plan (AT&T phone), Apple website on a computer and received the reservation email. I ordered a 256GB silver around 3:06 AM. It stated a Nov 3 date. I still haven't received the 2nd email to complete the process.
 
I called Apple to find out what was up? I was finally able to get an order through at 3:51 (only took almost 2 hours!!) with a ship date of Dec 11-18- ugh!!

Then at 4:45 I got the reservation email.

He told me since I have a W order number- the order for December is all set. He thinks the reservation email may have been an email that was in queue that took longer to send.

Not sure- but he said to disregard the reservation email- I have a phone ordered. Would love to have switched the Dec order to the reservation one hopefully with an earlier delivery- but I’m not going to mess with it- I’ll just wait until December

I ordered a Sprint Phone- and Sprint servers were not connecting last night.

I have a W order number as well. Does that mean my order is all set or should I be waiting for a second e-mail from my reservation e-mail? Also, does W mean December or does that mean it just went through? My window says Nov 17-24.
 
Just got my complete order email, shipping 2-3 weeks....

I got to the reserved screen about 3 minutes after it went live, hopefully some of you folks get release day shipping.

Ordered two ATT iPhone X's around 2:08CST. Got both emails around 4:42am. Have yet to receive anything else.

Both reservation numbers start with a B. Has anyone gotten the next email to complete their orders? Both phones will be on ATT Next.

I ordered around 12:08am or so i could not get into the app or anything. I had chrome open and it worked a lot better then Safari this time.. I got the the same message telling me about my pending reservation email. I don't recall saying the time frame it would be shipping i was just trying to finish and order but reservation worked for me.

Reservation email received: 2:43 am
Complete my order email 2:55 am
Order processing at 4:43 am (time i woke up for work)

Delivery date Nov 3.

I was able to order via my reservation that I made at :09 via apple website.

I got the email about 2.5 hrs after the reservation. Finished the order and it kept the Nov 3 delivery date the reservation showed me originally.

Thank you for that reply, it gives me hope that we might not be screwed up. Did your reservation start with the letter B?
 
Sorry to say that if you encountered this during the process the thing to do was to re-start the order process from scratch until you had success. That's what I did and was able to order a phone for 11/3 pickup at a local store. I got an order confirmation email with a W order number. Hours later, I got the reservation email which can be disregarded.

exactly this. I tried using the reservation email even I also had an active order but already detected that I had an active order to the same number, so I can ignore that and stick to the order that went throygh

Like many of you, I got the reservation notice and email.

I'm using Verizon prepaid, and after contacting them directly, I was asked to call their sales department. The sales rep, who was refreshingly helpful and honest, said that there really wasn't anything he could do for me in helping the reservation go through. Something to do with the way prepaid services are billed, and that in effect, prepaid people are second-class citizens at Verizon, and their systems aren't up to par. He told me my best shot was to contact Apple.

I'm holding for them now, so we'll see how it goes. I'm not terribly hopeful. I hope one of you get my likely-to-be abandoned reservation slot.

Seems weird that there would be roadblocks for someone ready and willing to part with $1000+ for a phone.
 
Interesting. I too received an email exactly at 5:42 am and still haven't received the second one to complete purchase.

I received the 'Your iphone has been reserved' email at 5:42am.
I have not received a 2nd email yet.
I want to pay outright for the phone and my order number starts with a B.
 
Did you do that after receiving a reservation email or after preorders went live?

No I got reservation email at 540am est

I got the error for reservation at 304am est

I kept pushing it and at 306am est I was able to place order for release date delivery! From the app the regular way
 
Guys, I just received my reservation number this morning. It’s letting me go through the ordering process but when I reach the shipping part, it told me they can’t ship at a PO Box and I have to choose the store pickup option. However, the store pickup is all unavailable so it’s not letting me through. Apple support at both chat and phone call are unavailable at this time. How do I get through this? Anybody with similar issues?

I just finished chatting with a rep - she said they are obv experiencing delays and that the reservation email will hold your spot (delivery date) and not to cancel and reorder....NOW, is that true - who knows, but that is was she said.

Same except 5:41am
