It was $125 for a PS4 as a trade-in.
They changed it to $150 after the PS4 Pro was announced...
That's the deal in the US. We will know for sure when the GS Ad comes out this Thursday.
btw - Sony is not gonna stop any developers on FUTURE PS4 games who want to charge extra for PS4 Pro features on their games (as download patches)...
(current games have free PS4 Pro patches, though).
$150 ps4 trade in on a $400 console is not compelling enough for me to upgrade at this time. I mean $250 out of pocket to get slightly better graphics and bigger HDD? I don't think so! Suppose I could sell my PS4 on craigslist and get slightly more, but not worth the hassle.
We either need better trade in value, lower price Pro, or more bundled goodies. A good deal will come along eventually, though probably not until early next year.

It depends. It is worth the trade if you have a 4K/HDR TV, also, I was told the PS4 $150.00 trade value is only good up until Christmas. After that, who knows what the original PS4 would be valued at. I would rather maximize my current value on My PS4 before it drops significantly.
And I'm also an early adopter, but I feel the upgrade is worth it. Plus, there are some promising looking titles coming out to take advantage of the Pro's capabilities. Starting in 2017, all PS4 games will be Pro capable. If you don't have a 4K/HDR TV, then the upgrade may not be worth your while at this point.
I think once some titles release and other previous titles patched by developers for upscaling, others will jump on board. I think there is a lot of potential here for the Pro.
There a lot of videos on YouTube showing the capabilities of the Pro. It's quite impressive.

The first review I read (vg247) stated that the pro is no louder than the launch PS4, regarding fan noise. As some of the launch models could get VERY loud, this has me concerned.
I'll be very curious to hear what you early adopters will report!
According to Gamespots official review un-boxing PS4 Pro by Jimmy Thang, the Pro was stated to be "Relatively pretty quiet" when compared to the original PS4.

Somewhat disappointingly it'll be as loud as my launch PS4, but quite remarkably about the same power consumption when playing a title with a Pro update running "4K".
Since I've got some gift cards and reward points, I'll just trade it in to Best Buy for $120 on my barely used launched PS4. No I don't know why I'd upgrade given that I've barely used my PS4 lol.
Just finished resetting my PS4. Out of curiosity I pulled out the hard drive to see how much use. To my shock only 111 hours. I bought this thing on launch day too lol. I thought I'd taken longer than that to finished Ratchet & Clank..

Reviews are overwhelmingly....underwhelming?
With that being said that is only at launch and the potential is absolutely astounding to what this console is capable of and cant wait to see developers utilize its power. No need to run out and buy right now for me as I am really enjoying the XB1S and wow it is an amazing console and cant wait to see what the Pro can do.
I do feel as though I should pull the trigger and get the $150 trade in credit though as thats pretty good for my launch PS4 that hasn't been used in months as I have transitioned to the XB community as I am enjoying it much much more.

Yes I think $150 is pretty fair, given that PS4 slim Uncharted 4 bundle was $225 last week. Best Buy at $120 is a ripoff, although I do have reward points and some gift cards there so I would've taken the $120 trade tomorrow. BUT, on a whim, I stuck an ad on Craigslist for $175, stated very firm price as Gamestop trade is $150. Much to my surprise I had quite a few emails on it right away. I just met the guy after dinner, $175. I usually avoid CL like the plague, as there's nothing but lowballers there. For once it worked out.

) for UHD Bluray playback, to which I was completely underwhelmed. I bought one UHD, sitting 4' from my 55" Sony XBR I positively couldn't tell from the regular 1080p Bluray. Perhaps I picked the wrong title.. Maybe, just maybe, the PS4 Pro will finally justify having that TV

Yeah it's why I'm not bothered by UHD Blu-Ray myself either, as like you bought the XB1S and immediately bought a few 4K Blu-ray Discs and after watching them on my 4K tv (a very good 4K tv I must add) and then watching the 1080p blu-ray on my other TV I can honestly say the difference was negligible 'at best' ..... since discovering this, I no longer have any desire to purchase the more expensive 4K UHD discs.
I'm hoping the PS4 pro will at least put the display to more tangible benefit. Picking mine up in 3 hours time along with Dishonored 2 and genuinely excited

From all the reviews and ratings I have read with the PS4 Pro and 4K/HDR, you really need both to appreciate the two of them showing off their capabilities. Anyone with general knowledge on how 4K/HDR works, understands your TV will upscale from your PS4 Pro. Without a 4K/HDR TV, it's likely not relevant for one to upgrade from their original PS4. I think the biggest knock on the PS4 Pro is lack of 4K Blu-Ray, which has no appeal to me fortunately.
I studied up on 4K as well, the best advice I read was to stay away from cheap lower end 4K TV's. I also made sure to invest in newer HDR technology.
My Christmas is a little early for me this year with a new 4K TV and the PS4 Pro.
Agreed. The $150.00 trade in offer is fairly good, which may not last long. I am astonished the negative/ignorant remarks others are already making against the Pro already and it's not even released yet.
I think once some contending game releases come out, showing the true power of the Pro, More will jump on board.
Ok this is painful. It's taking 8 hours to restore my 1.3TB of backup to the 2TB HDD i installed in the PS4 pro. By the time its done (another 5 hours) and then I've installed the patches to my games i'll be lucky if I am playing anything in 4K today at all. I believe Dishonored 2's day 1 patch is 9gb alone ..

I REALLY do not need this thing as I havent turned on my PS4 in months and converted to XB but man the potential of this monster and to match with my Samsung HDR/4K TV might be too much to pass up.
I have one coming today via UPS from BestBuy. I preordered it about a week ago so I wouldn't have to worry about picking it up from the store. It ended up being shipped from Ohio.
Sorry to the person in Ohio that might have been able to grab it off the shelf. I called dibs.
Mine was just delivered. Wow! The Pro is way heavier than I expected. And much bigger. Housing a lot of hardware in their. Waiting for Dishonored 2 to arrive.
I can't wait. Usually UPS gets here around 11am to noon.
I'm about to go buy mine at Best Buy, along with Titan Fall 2 and Battlefield 1 from Target (both for $62!). PS4 Pro looks to be widely available. Every single store shows in stock, and none says "3 or less" so every store has a whole pallet of them I'm guessing.
You're going to busy with those two games. I think with the Slim just released and those without a 4K TV, it might slow the Pro down somewhat. But then again, the Holidays are almost here. Looking forward to gamer reviews of the Pro, they're better than the paid Tech review sites in my opinion.

You CAN tell the difference on a 1080p - given that the game supports the PRO by giving you better textures, framerates, draw distances, etc.
I get this now on my gaming PC. So the games also on PC should already have this built in or you can just download the patch.
You are essentially future-proofing yourself buying a PS4 Pro.
This is only given that the regular PS4 is still at $300, so the extra $100 may be worth it.
Black Friday ads show the PS4 Slim is going to be around $250 this holiday season...
$150 trade in for the PS4 is at Gamestop right now through an estimated end of year timeframe.
Target and Walmart have BF1 and TF2 on sale for $35 each right now. Target you can use the red card for an additional 5% as well as the cartwheel app and a wish list for an additional 10% off.
I dont buy new games but thats what I have heard today.
I really wish Target or Best Buy took trade ins. I want to buy it at BB for the rewards or Target for the Discounts from Cartwheel and RedCard. Trading into GameStop just isn't an option for a purchase from them with no perks.
