Thanks for the heads-up.

I saw the Target ad and thought they meant Wed. and Thurs. the week of Thanksgiving.

I ordered Titanfall 2 off of Amazon as they are price-matching today - don't have time to run over to Target...

It's a fantastic deal but my backlog is so insane that I feel like I am throwing money away buying new games that when I eventually get to them I could get for 60-75% off if you will. I wish that wasn't the case though as my gaming time has nearly diminished completely

I understand - I don't buy games at launch since they drop so quickly (Titanfall 2 already at $35, and GOW 4 is going to be $30 at Thanksgiving).

Plus, after putting together a gaming PC, those games (I play Space Sims on it) are so immense and gorgeous and take so much time to play. I sold my PS4 to pay for a current gen GPU card. Not really missing my PS4 right now - the games I have for it can just sit on my shelf and wait (not even worth trading them in).

Looks like I'll just wait for a PS4 Pro Slim for $299... ;)

$150 trade in for the PS4 is at Gamestop right now through an estimated end of year timeframe.

Target and Walmart have BF1 and TF2 on sale for $35 each right now. Target you can use the red card for an additional 5% as well as the cartwheel app and a wish list for an additional 10% off.

I dont buy new games but thats what I have heard today.

I really wish Target or Best Buy took trade ins. I want to buy it at BB for the rewards or Target for the Discounts from Cartwheel and RedCard. Trading into GameStop just isn't an option for a purchase from them with no perks.

Maybe I mis-read your post, but Best Buy does accept game trades. Target does not as you stated. And you're correct, GameStop is a complete rip-off. They will sell your trade in games for an additional 30% after trade.

GameStop knows they have the market in their hands, being there really aren't any other competitors besides eBay and Amazon. And Gamestops Power Up rewards really isn't that rewarding. Just my opinion.

I was referring to game consoles not games themselves. Sorry for the confusion.

So far only played Ratchet and Clank, when you start the game HDR mode kicks in and whilst game has no extra options the game is running at 1440p or thereabouts with a superb antialiasing solution. Higher res on an already pretty game, and HDR colours - it's really like your playing an animated film.

During gameplay the PS4 Pro sounds a little quieter than my old PS4.

No problem. I love Best Buy and Target. If they did take trades on consoles, that would put some serious pressure on GameStop.

Best Buy and Target both accept consoles for trade, but typically lower than Gamestop. Target is offering a lousy $95 for a PS4 lol. Best Buy is at $120, which I was going to accept to avoid the hassle of selling, but a quick last minute sale on Craigslist netted me $175. I guess Target and Best Buy can get away with giving lower values due to deals that they give out at times, like last week's PS4 Slim Uncharted 4 bundle for $225 when combining 10% wishlist, 15% Cartwheel (or 15% Redcard online), plus 5% off Redcard purchases.

Restoring my 166GB backup. About 45 minutes. R&C is the first I'm going to checkout :D

I do wish they would've let me choose between 4K/30 or 1080P/60. In all honesty I value a locked 60fps frame rate more than resolution.

Yeah there doesn't seem to be any options in R&C but with Ratchet it was always designed to be a 30fps game so I guess they just went with the higher res and temporal anti-aliasing.

It's does look great in fairness though. Noticeably cleaner than on the older PS4

Finished restoring. Gotta run didn't have much time to play, but wow R&C in 4K HDR looks absolutely fabulous. Finally justified having this TV :D

Question for you. Does starting a new game erase your existing progress? I finished it already, but I've collected everything and didn't want to lose it. I would like to play it again now.

The Sony 4K TV I have has fantastic motion processing. If I enable the motion interpolation, it really looks like it's running 60fps, although that was at 1080P on my original PS4. It'll be interesting to see if it can handle faking 60fps at 4K.

Wow I did not know that, thanks!

Still seems best bet is to try someone in CL or FB as trading into GameStop gets the best price but turning around and buying from them doesn't make sense with the target deals.
GameStop gives a bit better trade, but it's tough to cash out now unless you buy things from them at full price.

Amazon was giving $140 trade on the PS4 the last I checked. Might be another option for you?

I too started from scratch and yeah it overwrites your save. You don't lose trophies but not sure about the collectible cards :)

What a hassle GameStop was. Stopped by there during the day to pick up my pre order and trade in my PS4. The guy goes to test, plugs it in, nothing comes up on his screen "Sorry it doesn't work we can't take this". I know that's BS because I was just using it. He kept turning it on then plugging in the HDMI, apparently the PS4 didn't like that. So finally I do it in one of those "MOVE!" maneuvers. And it comes on.

He goes to connect to the stores wifi. It keep timing out. Again, "Sorry we can't take this". THANKFULLY I have personal hotspot on my iPhone. So I connect to that with no problems at all, keep in mind I'm behind the counter now technically working two job I didn't even check gamestops schedule to see if I was working today.

Anyway now I'm home and downloaded and played about 20 minutes of Skyrim in 4K. But being an old game I'm only moderately impressed. If you really focus on the background objects they are extremely sharp. It's not until I look at my old screenshot that I realize how soft the image was at 1080p.

This is grabbed from nearly identical screenshots of a guard in Skyrim in the far background. The images were resized to represent what you actually see in game.

Can you guess which is which? Lol

Wow! GameStop sometimes never ceases To Amaze me. I was just commenting to another forum member earlier today how some of there staff members Struggle with the most basic tasks and are not very knowledgeable. Of the five GameStop stores in my area, there is only one store I go to, because they have knowledgeable and consistent staff members.

My initial impressions so far with my Pro. It's much quieter than my original PS4. And doesn't appear to get very warm. Playing Dishonored 2 and it plays smooth. Looks very good.

Battlefield One is visually stunning. One of the most visually detailed games to date on newer Gen consoles.

I stopped going to Gamestop a long time ago. Few years back I did a couple of trade ins, to which they were giving pretty insane values. I think it was like $300 for an iPad Mini 2, and at the time you had no problem buying Amazon giftcards with Gamestop credits to cash out. As always, I keep my gadgets in pristine condition, including all packaging. The rep completely freaked out when I presented my iPad to trade, completely spotless and rewrapped in all original plastics. They immediately assumed that I had stolen that iPad, called their district manager and all. Same kind of reaction when I traded a PS4 controller a while later. The final nail for them was when they accused me of "coupon fraud" for using their own coupons that I had bought with my Gamestop reward points.

I played Titan 2 for a few minutes, just ran through the initial training. My PS4 Pro got very very warm and fan got quite loud. Warmer and louder than the original launch PS4 I had.

Remember, if you trade to Gamestop, make sure it nice and beat down and without original packaging lol.

You guys are really convincing me to take the plunge when I had zero urge to get rid of my pS4 but I am truly concerned the value on the PS4 is set to plummet here soon so $150 may be the best I can get for it.

I would only consider one if you have a 4K TV preferably with HDR10.

I just played 2 hours of ESO on 1080p enhanced mode and I just didn't notice anything different. That's a game that I have 300+ hours in.

Switching to 4K is sharper and certain shimmering and flickering disappears. I'll make a video of it tonight so you can see what I mean.

Perhaps I can talk you out of it :D I honestly don't believe a used PS4 will fall much below $150 in the near future, be it trade in or a private sale. People are still buying used PS3 for $100 or more on Ebay.

I said to myself early on that I was going to pass on the PS4P, given that I used my launch PS4 for 111 hours in the nearly 3 years I had it o_O I pulled the hard drive to confirm hours of operation. But, since I had rewards, even cashed in my loose change jar in the garage at Coinstar for a BB gift card :p, and lucked out in selling my old PS4 for $175 last minute, I walked out of BB with the PS4P for a mere $15 :D If I had to pay $250 on top of selling it, I wouldn't have done it.

But, running some of those games in 4K is very very pretty. Think I'll finally crack open Uncharted Collection and Last of Us that are still sealed for the past year

Digital Foundry wasn't that enthusiastic about Last of Us on the Pro though.

I have a Samsung JS8500. 4K and HDR and it looks absolutely eye tingling on the XB1S so interested to see some of the PS4 exclusives on a PS4PRO.

I would want to buy from Target as it seems combining all their deals gives the best price.

I think it's expired but I used cartwheel app to get tf2 and bf1 for 35 each

And had 10 percent off wishlist coupon I used towards console so it was 360+tax

Ratchet and clank was 20, clearance

C'mon man!!! Don't make me want to upgrade.... =( I can't afford this stuff right now. I was okay with picking up a 4k tv without having any current hardware that will use it, upgrading my stuff as I go. But R&C looking even better?! Dammit....
