I guess that makes two traveling together - Mine is getting delivered to (Apple store) DE as well: (Ordered (BTO)on 07/16 afternoon EST)

Thats odd, exactly what mine looks like. Ordered july 17th, estimated pickup july 27th in apple store. Stuck in customs since 7-21-18. Might be same shipment than.

And mine (MBP 15/i9/32GB/1TB/560X/Space Gray) has gone preparing to ship! It might make it by Friday after all! Woot!

Any luck on your end? Mine stayed in Koeln for quite a while and just left last night, doubt it'll make it today (at least it's not out for delivery, Departed cologne some time at night)

I have no idea what UPS is doing, the flight from Cologne to East Midlands to Edinburgh left at abt 4am. It arrived into Edinburgh abut 8am, which is the normal flight my packages from Apple (via UPS) make.

There was an earlier departure scan from Cologne, but it must have missed a flight as it has been rescanned at a later date. Why, I don't know.....

This whole shipping process by UPS this time has been really strange and quite disappointing with delays at each leg... I think they have been cost cutting the legs from China heading west either cancelled or cut back...

Damn, DHL told me they might ship today, and now it's "Shipment on hold" ... Hope they figure out what's wrong sooner rather than later.

I agree, unusual route, super slow, delays... Almost 7 days from shipment to delivery. Quite disappointed.
 
Definitely something odd going on. It was today (Tuesday) morning last week I noticed it had changed to shipped.
7 days now and it's still showing as collect from store (UK - Oxford Street) tomorrow. Wonder if that will slip if there's something odd going on in customs. 13" i7/16/1TB.
 
Around how long were your orders in the 'Order Processing' stage?

Edit: Seconds after posting this, my order has changed to 'Preparing for Dispatch'! :)
 
Mine has just lost the “this item will take longer than expected” text and now just says I will be updated when it is ready.

Just spoke to UPS and was told that the package will be delivered tomorrow. It will arrive in the UK this afternoon / evening.

I asked why it didn't make the flight this morning's it was cleared 2 hrs prior to its departure. No answer

Asked why it went approx 50% further travel distance, i.e headed east across the Pacific to the US and onwards to the EU / UK. Was told it was prob the most economic route, never mind carbon air miles!!!

Also asked abut the delays, told that the initial printed label said Thurs 26th for delivery and that is what they are aiming for. So I asked that if the label had mentioned the 30th, would it have sat in Germany for days, to which I was told yes.

Guess I'm lucky that one of his systems says 26th and a second system (prob the internal one that we can't see) says 25th delivery.

Also asked for a complaints department as I could see a lot of areas that this particular shipment could be improved. Was told, they have no complaints department and as the parcel it still within the delivery window (26th) he could not take any complaint from me (as this is the way they deal with it)

An email to apple to apprise them of the situation later I feel!!!
 
They seem to be delivering a day earlier, captpicar - I guess tomorrow should be good (1 day early for you?).

Mine was due tomorrow, just had an email saying to pick up today :) (UK - Regent street store).

On a positive note, I did get a text message saying that the MBP will be delivered on Friday. So looks like Apple and UPS agree now, both say delivery on Friday instead of UPS saying Thursday and Apple saying Friday. Darn!

That's good. Mine is out for delivery, but I won't be able to pick it up till Saturday anyway now
