Preparing for Shipping?

Man, talk about these delays. Weird. When I ship via Amazon using Prime, 2 days guaranteed. Just goes to show how spoiled we have become and expect everything in 2 days or less.

Also, slight weird, but my iPhone was also delivered on a Friday as well....hmmm.... coincidence?
 
Hey. I am waiting for my MacBook Pro in Berlin. It was dispatched yesterday - for DHL it is still „information received“. Does anyone know, how fast it could be from China to Eindhoven? ;)

Hey friend, how's your delivery looking? Mine has reached my home of Calgary and "Delivery to a UPS Access Point™ location is pending"... It should be ready for pick up later today :).

I just want to get an idea of the time window between order placed and delivery, so when did you place your order if I may ask?
 
I am glad all of you are happy. I have had the worst experience of any delivery I can recall. So with all of the chatter about the pros and cons of the new i9 processor, I decided to order one maxed out to the T. Finally it came close to my house then suddenly it disappeared. I am not sure what happened - at first I thought maybe UPS had figured out what it was and a staff member stole it. But now I am thinking the issue runs much deeper. I called Apple to report it missing based on the carrier tracking number. UPS first said that security access was needed to get to my house - lie #1. Then when that didn't work they changed their response to incorrect house number - lie #2. Apple was of no help - they said could offer me a refund - or I could wait a month for another 4TB SSD model. At this point I just said, if you are willing to overnight me another machine at my expense, I will bite. But they declined. I just wish they would stop using UPS and go with USPS or Fedex. Anyway, my excitement over getting a new MBP in over 10 years has been dashed. Maybe I will go out and buy a new car today....

Still processing ... my delivery date still says the 24th (today) - 31st. Boy would I like an update. Anything is better than the same screen I've seen since the 14th.

Mine has gone from China--Alaska--Kentucky--Germany where it appears to be stuck. If it does not want to come to the UK you may as well have it.

Unlike the launch day deliveries that are being delivered to USA/CA, which took the route: Shanghai > Narita > Anchorage > SDF > Final Destination, my laptop skipped the Narita stop and went directly to Anchorage. Interesting.
 
After spending far too much time refreshing the UPS page (which doesn't update that often) and even tracking the cargo plane as it came to the UK, I've finally got my 13 inch MBP.

Here's the full journey for others following a UK route:

Well mine has arrived in the UK after it's little day out in Germany: Seems it came in by cargo ship into the new(ish) London Gateway deep-water port.

Well sadly mine was delayed and stuck in Shanghai as well.

New Delivery date now: July 26th, 2018 before 10:30AM.

Gosh I was really hoping it would be arriving tomorrow and not on Thursday. What a let down.

I placed my order a day before you (July 17), yet you are getting your laptop a day before me (July 26 vs July 27 for me), so there is something to be thankful for. Looks like Fedex is faster than UPS or it could be that you live closer to Memphis and Fedex doesn't need to transfer your laptop to another plane to get to you.
 
I just got an update from DHL. My 13" MacBook Pro was due to arrive on July 30 but it's now changed to tomorrow! It's currently in Amsterdam and will be here, in Berlin, tomorrow. :)

You are right, I should be thankful. But I did pay for Expedited shipping.

I am in Southern California, so mine does have to get on another plane...

Totally forgot about that other option...expedited shipping. LOL! So then, we are both equal. If not for the expedited shipping, your delivery date might have been the same as mine - July 27, Friday. I also live in CA, Nor Cal to be precise.

Sounds good. When was your MacBook dispatched by Apple? When did u get the mail? ;)

EDIT: I just saw: Saturday. Perfect.
