UPS 81 has made it successfully to SDF/Louisville. The home stretch now folks! Just one more flight to CA! Arrival time: 1:13 AM EST

Expected scan: "Arrival Scan" Louisville, KY 1:35 AM - 2:15 AM EST

Update: "Arrival Scan" at 1:28am EST at Louisville, KY! Yes! So, my prediction was incorrect. 1:28am instead of 1:35am EST. Faster than I expected.

I got mine but so far it has been running a bit on the warm to hot side and I did not get the i9 Processor because I was afraid of this.:(

Thanks, been running hot these last 2 hours..

And... it shipped. No tracking information yet but my guess is because of the time of day it IS coming from China. I’ll update when I get tracking info...

Edit: I have a FedEx tracking number but it’s not active yet.

Sigh... the story so far....

Ordered on 16th... used Paypal as payment method

2am this morning it changed to "on hold". Authorisation problem. I logged in and saw there was nothing I could do so decided that I would cancel in the morning (still an option) and buy from store, as they are now in stock.

This morning I have a declined SMS from credit card (linked as backup method on paypal) but order is now "preparing for dispatch".

Spoke to Apple, apparently on 2nd try it worked. However the auth is still "pending" in paypal and no money has gone from my account.

It is also too late to cancel.

So, I guess the money is moving slowly from Paypal to Apple somehow, and after that happens (2 to 3 days?) it will move to "shipped".

This feels like a long slog, especially as the machines are now in stores so I could just pick one up!

Just spoke to UPS and was told that the package will be delivered tomorrow. It will arrive in the UK this afternoon / evening.

I asked why it didn't make the flight this morning's it was cleared 2 hrs prior to its departure. No answer

Asked why it went approx 50% further travel distance, i.e headed east across the Pacific to the US and onwards to the EU / UK. Was told it was prob the most economic route, never mind carbon air miles!!!

Also asked abut the delays, told that the initial printed label said Thurs 26th for delivery and that is what they are aiming for. So I asked that if the label had mentioned the 30th, would it have sat in Germany for days, to which I was told yes.

Guess I'm lucky that one of his systems says 26th and a second system (prob the internal one that we can't see) says 25th delivery.

Also asked for a complaints department as I could see a lot of areas that this particular shipment could be improved. Was told, they have no complaints department and as the parcel it still within the delivery window (26th) he could not take any complaint from me (as this is the way they deal with it)

An email to apple to apprise them of the situation later I feel!!!

Well mine came over to Europe (via the US) on the same flights as yours and was just delivered to me (near Manchester) so hopefully yours arrives today, too.

Interesting - My order is a i9/32GB/1TB, expedited shipping.

Ordered on 7/13, sat in "Processing" until yesterday, 7/24, when it changed to "Preparing to ship". This morning, it shipped FedEx. FedEx says it's coming from Rialto, CA, and will be delivered tomorrow, 7/26.

Makes me wonder what was happening during all that "Processing" time. I had assumed it would ship from China. My guess now is that maybe orders will stay in "Processing" because Apple knows it has a bulk shipment of machines on the way to a distribution facility, and earmarks one of those machines for you. And of course, the shipment you can track is from that facility. Anybody else have an order/delivery pattern like this?

Would Adam and Eve it.

I popped into the shower. Fastest shower known to humans....

(Can you guess what’s coming...)

Yep a card through the door, they will retry tomorrow !!!!

Yup, mine is the same. I ordered the same config on Jul 12 and mine just changed to “shipped” last night via FedEx from Rialto, CA. FedEx doesn’t have the package yet but they claim delivery for tomorrow Jul 26 shipping to San Francisco Bay Area (about 1 hour flight or 6 hour drive away).

I can't imagine yours would go to Oakland rather than straight to Memphis? But there many flights from Oakland to Memphis and other places. So maybe? We shall see tonight!

Mine was delivered about 5 minutes ago. I checked first thing this morning and was happy to see it was in fact on that flight to Memphis despite no obvious departure scan, and it showed "At local Fedex facility", but since it was already almost 8am and it didn't show it out for delivery or on the truck I figured it was still coming tomorrow. Lo and behold at about 8:30 am it updated with a 6:50 am timestamped "On FedEx vehicle for delivery".

Hopefully yours arrives this morning as well.

Now off to find some dongles to migrate from my 2015 MBP.

That's interesting. Do you live close to Memphis, so that the laptop doesn't need to hop onto another plane?

Congrats nonetheless.

This is the worst. I feel like my laptop is stuck in assembly hell, and must escape the nine factory rings before it can begin it's long voyage home.

Glad you got yours today! I have been following my close this morning. It is now available for me to pick up at the local FedEx facility. Going to pick mine up as soon as I can take a quick break here at work!

Let me know what dongle you end up with! I ordered one from Hypershop, being delivered today as well.

As I expected, my laptop is gonna be sitting in Louisville until tomorrow since my delivery day isn't until Fridwy. The tracking reflects this. Disappointed but not angry.

Also, only 1 more scheduled flight remains that departs for Nor Cal from SDF according to Flightaware.com. So further confirmation that my laptop isn't going to arrive at a Nor Cal UPS facility today.
