Preparing for Shipping?

I’ve had my one and only MBP for TEN YEARS, after many, many PCs. My very first new computer purchase was a Mac back in 1992. I should have stuck with Apple to begin with, but I was a PC trainer for years. Anyhoo, my new MBP is now on a FedEx plane to Memphis. I’ll have it Friday!

I am loving my new computer!

My configuration: MBP 15"/i7 2.6/32GB/512GB

I picked it up from the FEDEX distribution center this morning around 10AM.

Can’t wait to hear how everyone likes theirs!!

Just like clockwork, my UPS tracking also got updated with a "Departure Scan" Louisville, KY update, making it certain that my laptop is on this flight. Sweet!

The plane just landed at OAK. It is very close to me. Can't believe it! A rather long journey but quite eventful. Thanks to everyone on this thread for keeping me entertained while my laptop made its journey from CN to CA. Great stuff! I will be back when the laptop has been delivered and with benchmarks.

Good luck to everyone who is expecting theirs shortly as well.

Next expected update: "Destination Scan" Oakland, CA 5:45pm - 6:30pm

Awesome buddy! Sounds like you will be enjoying that laptop before this time tomorrow!

You will have to let me know what kind of benchmark programs you are testing yours with? I would like to do similar and report.

Best of luck! I think my laptop is on the same flight, unfortunately I live in Canada and won't get my laptop until Friday.

Exactly the same for me, however yesterday the Apple site changed from "Shipment dispatched" to "In transit to customer – shipment on schedule". Nothing new showing up in DHL tracking though (still says "Shipment information received").

Correct. Yesterday the Apple status page changed. Hopefully, this is a good signal. :)
 
Woohoo! Mine is now preparing for dispatch. Ordered on 24 July with a delivery date of 7-9 August so fingers crossed I'll received it before then. Ordered a base TB 13" with 16gb ram.

I think not yet, mine is on it's way to The Netherlands. I'm hoping the "emergency situation" is just some default status to hold it before it's going on a truck to Amsterdam later tonight because it was originally scheduled for tomorrow (and that part is usually done by truck and then delivered on the same day).

And...I just missed my day early delivery while testing out my new Beats... Sigh.

Still processing. Apple you're killing me! I don't see how it can possibly arrive by July 31st if they don't start shipping today. Probably my only Apple product that I've been worried about a late delivery with.
