Radio Shack iPhone 5 pre order

Well its smaller, so maybe there's less competition for the phone.
 
Got a call today saying my 3 16gb black AT&T iPhone 5s were in. I told them I bought them last Friday and no longer need them.

Of course, I haven't called the local Verizon store in a few days so that's still an option, seeing if they have more stock. This is just so frustrating cause I'm sure if I decided to drive to the other store, mine would call me and say mine's in as soon as I got there.

Also, still waiting on a call from my store (who hasn't called me ONCE) to "update me on my order."

Also, keep forgetting to ask this but, have carrier stores (Verizon, ATT, Sprint) been affected by the phone shortages? I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time by continuing to check with my Verizon store.

I drove about 40 minutes to a store that had one. The main reason being was my iphone 4 barely worked and I have been waiting for the five to come out so I can upgrade it will still be a few weeks before stores carry them regularly. Well worth it. Didn't want to take the chance of radio shack taking just as long with the answers they were giving. Good luck

Thanks. I'm having a really hard time now since there don't seem to be any nearby stores.
 
Just got off the phone with my local Radio Shack and they are taking name's & phone # to be on a waiting list. The lady told me that there inventory of phones are in there warehouse right now and will be shipped to the stores by monday or tuesday, I hope this is true!

I hope this is true of all stores! Did you already have a preorder?

You think so? I mean...seems like once they sent it to you there was some glitch in the system that made it seem like you paid for it.
 
Well the store got me a phone, but then they couldn't cancel the other phone which was already tied to my phone number. So still no phone until the one that I preordered and is tied to my phone number comes in..... Monday.
 
No,the UNLOCKED ones go for a ton on ebay,between$900-$1050.These AT&T phones are not unlocked.

Nope,I wasn't billled until I returned it to the AT&T store and 4 minutes later they issued a credit.Of course the charge went through immediately and the credit took 2 days to show.

Has rS been filling anyone's PO. I noticed some stores are getting stock buy not the one I ordered from. So happy I didn't wait for them. That manager was the biggest BSer.
 
^ considering all the people that stopped posting , I assume most people have their phone and moved on

Nice! Hopefully this is true. I've been calling all of the RadioShacks in my area and they are all sold out. Crazy stuff. Looks like I will start up my search on Monday again!
 
Just got home from RS with my new 32GB AT&T! They got it in yesterday but I wasn't around to get it. The guy at RS said they'd gotten enough for all the pre-orders, now they were taking more orders for the next batch. Overall, not a terrible experience.

I would check walmart s. I called around four days after the launch and the store I went to still had 13 att phones not to mention others carriers. They suck at activating them but they are cheap at 188.
 
I was at Walmart at 6pm and the sales guy tells me he has no clue when the any will come in.The store hasn't received any yet.I told him about ordering from Apple Store for next day pick up and he was shocked.:eek:
 
Crazy how each store is different you would think corporations would make sure each store had some instead of giving some plenty and some none. I did call about ten stores
 
On Friday still no IPhone 5. I called left MSG off manager to call me and he never called. When I went to the store the coward was hiding in the back. I called the DM and her assistance was no help. I said I want my $50 back and she said corporate has okayed this for anyone who wants to. So in the store I demanded my $50. While I was waiting I sent an email to RadioShack telling them about my whole negative experience. When I left went to target in the same mall and to my surprise they had iPhone 5s for AT&T.

I would never ever go to radio shack again.

Idk if the fact that I was at the Apple Store at Grand Central makes any difference, but as I was picking up my phone people were constantly coming up and asking if they could buy them, only to be told that they are not selling them retail, they had to do in-store pick up.


Also, weird that Apple doesn't sell any cases.


I didnt cancel my RS gift card. I figured it wasnt their fault. I ended up getting a good case and a really good screen cover. I thought about getting an Amazon gift card but then it would have meant I had to wait longer for a case and I wanted to protect my phone as soon as possible.


I also havent canceled my RS preorder though. I want to see how long it will take for them to get their orders in.

What happened to you going to that RS an hour away! Go get your phone!
 
My store didn't get the iphone 5 either. I would be furious if I didn't find one bi still don't get how some RS already got second shipments and some barely got one. The manager told me this was a iphone store and he'd have them on launch day. What a crock of *****. I bought a case and screen protector but ill never go to a RS again
