Thanks. I was searching the same information since many months. Thanks for your hard work.

See above. Week 48 of 2013.
Oh, thanks. You mean week 48 of 2012* right?
Would that increase my chance of a screen with image retention issues? Or is it not a factor really?
Thanks
I quoted the wrong person lol. My response to you is above.
Yes, I have the late 2013 13 inch model with display apparently manufactured in 2012. After running the test, I get "mild" image retention in the left portion of my screen. It fades after about 30 seconds and isn't noticeable unless I am on a gray background. However, my question is, if this is normal and if I should be concerned that any amount of image retention is apparent this early on. I have read many accounts of individuals with this issue and learned that it often gets worse. Should I go ahead and try and exchange the laptop? Ultimately, I am looking for facts, although opinions are welcome.
I have the late 2013 rMBP 13'' as well, and got "3016," so it looks like mine was manufactured in 2012 also. However, I ran the IR test on max brightness for the full 10 minutes and had no IR at all. Hopefully it stays that way... :/
Like I mentioned above, I'm not too worried. This is more a FYI type of deal. If it does happen to me during the three years of AppleCare they'll either replace with a screen produced a lot later than 2012, or if they have to do it too many times they might just replace my machine altogether.
That said, if it's already happening, exchange it right now.

If they're still using late 2012 panels then this all but confirms that IR is still an issue for late 2013 MB Pro's
I think it may be prudent for people to wait until that batch is exhausted and they move on to the newer (and hopefully) better 2013 LG panels.
Must have LG eyes![]()

Just got back from the apple store with an exchange on the 13 inch high end model. As far as I can tell, the screen seems to be of a more even, albeit yellow, color. Although there still seems to be a sort of blue halo right under the camera. After running the image retention test for 1 min at full brightness, some "mild" image retention occurred on the left portion of the screen. This disappeared completely within 20 seconds.
The display is a020. I am currently considering returning the device tomorrow or waiting a week or so, incase the store gets new stock. Thoughts?

Ugh, my Haswell 13'' rMBP passes the IR test after 10 minutes...
But today I decided to leave the test up for 20 minutes, and surely enough, I saw image retention, faint, but it was there.
WHAT DO I DO? Return it or keep it?Is it guaranteed to get worse over time?
