Look at the TV at the bottom, near the center-left. It's got a clear picture of the Apple in its lower left quadrent. If this is a fake, it's an exceedingly well done one.

WOO HOO!! Hell yeah that was a joke!! i've been laughing ever since i posted it cause its SO DAMN FUNNY!!! if you didnt laugh at it, youre taking this WAY too seriously..

just wanted to get a few laughs out of all the people who are continually checking this thread.. wooooo hooooo!!! yeah!

I would have posted "He is Apple's CEO" if I had thought you were serious. :p

Anyway, I've got a question: "Why does 802.11g come after 802.11b?" I'm guessing it's the same reason 802.11a comes after 802.11b, but before 802.11g. :D

As previously stated, this is the fastest growing thread in recent history, 3386 views in two hours. That's more than any active thread on the general board.

Whoever did this, real or fake, sure did cause a lot of commotion.

Ahhh Run for the hills.

anyways.
Intel is all 802.11a.
Apple is in a whole different direction in that sense.

I have to admit though...

From a marketing standpoint and a strategic business standpoint...

OS X on Intel would be the beginning of the end of Microsoft (or atleast their dominance).
i'm gonna have to disagree with you. there is no way i would put mac os x on my windows machine. the reason i have a windows machine is because my mac os x machine cant fill all my needs. now if i could have dual boot system with windows and mac i would probably get rid of my macintosh because there would be no need for it. until all of my games, audigy drive, and video card and every other piece of hardware i own are available for mac, i will no longer have a windows machine and i dont see that happening very soon. unless apple wants to become a software comany i dont see them doing this anytime soon. guess we will have to wait and see.

no no no... apple use a gray to black in the back round... the backround is too small to show that it has gradient... or something

I must say it did look like a real image, but its been 2 hours now and we havent heard anything...

Photoshopped?

that's a good observation, but couldn't it just be due to the fact that each screen has a standard size? if the test image's circle were not fullscreen, i would totally agree with you. as it is, i am still skeptical.

more reasons to show fake?

1) the "strings" holding the apple logo and test boards up are actually lines in the wall i believe, just breaks in the wall and nothing more.

2) the apple logo and test boards are (as someone else suggested) at an incorrect perspective and placed at an appropriate 2d angle but not 3d as the real world is. in other words, if this picture was real and we were standing in front of this display, the logos and boards would have to be painted on or something and not actually in front of the wall

3) the transition from black/gray to white in the background of each of the supposedly hung boards appears to be the exact same which means they were being consistant or the PS'er saw it as a perfect opp.

also... the backround of the apple logo, is the exact same color as the backround of the two test screens... check out the link to the picture on the VERY FIRST POST of this thread:p

beneath the left test screen they do, but underneath the apple logo i dont see them, however this could be from the lighting

Look they are like pre-testing. Testing, Maybe.

Man, that was funny.... literally had me on the floor! :p

Re: Re: Re: more reasons to show fake?

Notice that you can clearly see the some of the "strings" above the wall. Others... not so easy to see, but they may be there :)

Ok...

For now, we're going to write this off as "fake" until any other supporting evidence comes up. ie. press release, news article etc....

I de-linked this off the main sites as not to encourage fakes.

... enjoy. :)

you have a point

on a new note, i tried looking through the viewfinders on the two cameras to distinguish real from fake, but could not, has anyone else tried this?

this is 99.999% fake now (if it wasnt before) we would have heard SOMETHING even if it were just a little announcement. But it's kinda fun (but not really) to see how good or bad this PS'er may have been.

BT

hey all!
I dunno what you guys think, but maybe it has something to do with Bluetooth?
People got excited when Apple decided to include USB w/ its first iMac... it jump-started the technology. Now they decide to build in BT to its powerbooks...
