Nothing like a strong cappuccino with a light dusting of righteous indignation to start Quarantine Day 763 on the right foot.

I’m with most of you—I don’t care how many of these $0.50 cent plastic landfill cubes are already in circulation: selling a electronic consumer product without the means of powering it is anti-consumer corporate entitlement at its finest.
Yea take away everything else. Earbuds aren't essential for the iPhone to function. Power is. And at least one person on here understood that not everyone is like us on here with our 42 bricks and cables and headsets. There will always be smartphone noobs starting from scratch.

Not everyone needs wireless charging either. I can plug the cable and toss battery pack in my bag while using it. Impossible to do with wireless charging.
Yea and if you are a heavy user, you can use a pack or a wall charger and still use the phone comfortably. Will never buy a wireless only iPhone until speed, range and availability are much better. When will they ever go up from crappy 7.5??

Maybe Apple can start a program to accept donations of chargers from those who have excess. Anyone who needs one can simply drop into an Apple store and pick one up for free.

That would show me their concern for the environment.
Thought the exact same thing like the glasses drops in places.

I don't need them and I won't miss them.
When I need a new charger, I buy a new charger.

Thanks Apple for reducing e-waste!
How wrong can you be ?
EVERY computer I had owned up until this one I upgraded the RAM and the HD as need and money allowed. Hell I even upgraded the RAM in the old TRS-80.
Apple has removed the ability to do this. and your choices are:
1) Buy with with specs you do not initially need at Apples massive markups
2) Sell the old machine for a loss and buy a new machine at Apples massive mark ups
3) Do without
With Apples move to ARM even the option of a hackintosh will be gone.

Upgrade is ALWAYS the first option in reducing ewaste
Repair is the 2nd option, however its not cost effective for Apple products

And don't get me started on their iMac packaging with all the polystyrene in it, or laptop/iPad/iPhone/etc packaging with plastic inserts.

Apples "Green" credentials is 100% marketing ********.

Apples Mantra should be "Throw it away and buy New"

I would love it if Apple surprised everyone by not including the accessories but took the margin hit themselves and reduced the price of the iPhones by $50 giving consumers choice to buy either an ordinary low power charger, a fast charger or no charger; and the earPods cash can be put towards airPods if customers want to.

I don't get if the prices will be the same in countries that still are not ready for 5G. Will the price be lower? If 5G is really impacting the pricing, then why some people still have to pay more for something that won't work in their home country?

Just imagine getting your brand new iPhone and the battery is at 0%. Now you have to look for a charger to charge your brand new iPhone.

Salesperson: "Okay, yes, we have that one in stock. Now do you need a charger?"

I bet people survive the coming crisis somehow.

When people are begging Apple to give them less product for more money.

how can you retain any credibility as a sentient human being?

They are getting more of what they want, and less of what they don’t need.

I currently have a few of those dual-usb chargers lying around the house. I think most people will be just fine.

I believe this rumour, but with one caveat. Apple want to upsell, but want to remain tight, so all iPhones come with zero accessories. If u want AirPods or pro, u get them at a reduced price to to retail, so why would they give u EarPods? If u want wireless charging, they sell that to u at a reduced price, so why would they give u a charger? This way, they get the additional sell & save on the kit not included. Granted it’s probably a logistical nightmare, fortunately Apple are very good at logistics!😜

Now that they use standardized USB-C PD chargers that are advancing at a very fast rate and everyone already has them, it makes sense that companies would no longer be providing them. Its a waste. The power supplies are now a commodity and Apple's versions cannot keep up with the other vendors anyways.

Whatever happened to speaking for yourself?

Welcome to MacRumors?

anyone that has owned an iPhone/iPad in the past 5 years likely has a dozen cables and wall plugs already. Do you really need another one?

News coming: Apple becomes the largest phone accessory company in the world.

You can buy said accessories from hundreds of other companies....not just Apple.
