A little curved screen on the side... Why? Seems like it covers a tiny use case and introduces another part that can break.

The Edge is not very successful IMO, a buddy of mine owns an electronics store that sells mobile phones, and the iPhone is outselling the Edge close to 30 - 1 last week.

There is nothing special about the Edge that is compelling customers ( at lease in the Metro Town Vancouver area ) to purchase it.

Irrespective of what you say, market share for Samsung in this category is dropping. Samsung should care about how people feel.

And you think this has to do with these commercials? I hope you're joking. I mean really? You think people out there are like "ohhh how horrible, poor Apple, how can Samsung be so mean!" Is that what you're telling me?

And beyond that, please tell me why Samsung should care about how people (like you) feel who have zero intention of buying a Samsung phone? I'd like you to explain your logic because I don't see it.

i think the 2nd video was pretty decent. the wide angle selfie is one of the reasons why I'm considering the Galaxy S6.

its very likely that wide(r) angle selfie means u will look fatter in S6 when u take ur selfie extending ur hands. photographers, if i am wrong, please correct me.

This is one feature I would really like. Having used it on android and windows phones, it's very convient. Just like on the apple watch.

at the end of the day, it's still an extra cord/cable. not really wireless.

Having never used it, I don't understand wireless charging's appeal. How is it so much better than plugging a cable in, and is it just as fast? Right now it seems like it would be more expensive to implement and more expensive to use (buy the chargers and/or have one readily available). I'm asking a serious question here - what am I missing?

It's just a convience thing, to be honest , you take your phone out of you pocket and place it on the bad, it charges. Just means you are not fiddling with trying to put in the wired cable into the phone each time. Wired charging is faster. Wireless charging is an option, all phones that support to work with wired charging.

If you get a chance, look at the apple watch, it's apples first device to adopt wireless charging. I think it's a good idea, especially when you plug that charger into the many stands that are available.

That is true. It's more of a convience of not having to align the port with the cable each time.

Though as its a universal standard, a "wireless" pad can support many devices. So you do not have to get a new wireless pad everytime you get a new device, though I'm sure apple will find a way :)

Nor wireless charging or wide selfie lenses are unique to the S6 and that weird display isn't enough of a feature for customers to actually want to pay the premium.

Samsung's basically admitting their phones are mostly the same as Apple's and that Apple is more successful. Good job.

I find it rather pathetic when advertisers do this, plus they forgot to mention it still runs android! Seems all smart phones aren't created equal!

This is intriguing. My iphone 6 Plus is the worst phone i've ever owned. I've found myself longing for a flip phone lately. In my household, you can often see my wife and I shaking or finger punching our 6's trying to get them to function. Pure crap, Apple.

nice story bruh!

Spending millions of euros worth of advertising and for the second year on row their flagships fail to make a dent.

Apple was the underdog when they made fun of Microsoft and the PC.
And today... 8 out of 10 smartphones sold are NOT made by Apple. Again... underdog.

But Samsung sells more smartphones than any other company on Earth.

So I guess Samsung is threatened by Apple... Apple must be doing something right.
When Apple earns 89% of the smartphone industry's profits, I don't think they qualify for the underdog status anymore. Apple has firmly cemented itself as one of the prime movers of a new era.

well samsung has also had production problems keeping up with demand for the S6 edge. apple sometimes can't offer the latest and greatest tech right away because they need to be able to do it at a much larger scale an reliably and sometimes the production of the newest tech just isn't apple volume ready.

i believe that number is higher now

If you go by sales figures they are indeed the underdog. What you did was comparing sales revenue. It isn't wrong too, just two ways of looking at it.

And let's not forget the alignment issues with the holes and ports on the S6 and S6 Edge. It's really something that cannot be unseen once it's seen. Shows difference in the level of engineering put into the S6 and the iPhone 6.
