hey i don't care if apple sells millions of phones, i just want my phone to not bend when i put it in my pocket. i usually sit in the car and then take the phone of out of my front pants pocket, i'm not sure whether i can do this now with 6 + , still undecided whether to order 6 +

Real life situations where it might be possible for the iPhone 6 Plus to be permanently bent in someone's pants pocket:

• You put the phone in your back pocket and sit on it.

• You put the phone into your front pocket horizontally and stay seated for a long period of time while wearing very tight pants.

That's basically it.

I am really strong, I'll bend that Note 3 for the team.

That was kinda frustrating to watch. Lay the phone down after you try to bend it. Stop moving it around an switching angles. I am NOT saying that the Note did bend I am just saying that I can't tell in that video.

But didn't those PC v. Mac commercials give a bad name without referring to a specific incident? Some people have gone years without getting a virus on a Windows computer. Just saying.

Apple never falsified the Windows shortcomings - yes it was (especially in XP days) plagued by viruses, so Apple never resorted to outright lies about XP and PCs. For example, they never said that if you touch PC wrong way, it will BSOD - no it is a lie. But manufacturing and spreading outright lies is another thing.

Apparently Apple forgot to put in the flexible displays.

Android dominates the global market share, you are right. On an individual phone basis, iPhone dominates. For example, the 2 new iPhones sold 10 million units in 3 days. It took the Galaxy S5, Samsung's best seller, 25 days to sell that many, despite being released in 140 more countries. I'd say there is a clear leader. This is the same reason every other phone manufacturer attacks Apple. Ever heard someone say that if someone is trying to bring you down, it's because you are already above them? That applies here.

Post-It Note just called and said the same thing about their product vs iPhones. Guess they win.

Who's making up lies now?

Sitting on a phone?

I've always taken my phones out of my back pocket. I don't even like sitting on a wallet. Funny comment from the BlackBerry guy. He'll probably be out of a job in a couple years.

Can you even fit a 6+ in your back pocket?

I think one, or both of us is confused. Im saying I would never put it past Apple to pay people to troll on competitors. I completely agree Apple will do the right thing due to the publicity of this "bad batch" of iPhones. People have already claimed to get replacements for free under warranty.

Just because Samsung was fined for doing it doesn't mean Apple would be doing it. Different cultures.

BTW. Apple UK claims that they haven't had a single actual customer complaining about a bent iPhone 6. Unlike said on this thread, they also don't say that they would give free replacements. They say the Genius at the store would make a visual inspection of the phone and decide, and depending on the decision the replacement would not be free. Probably to deter idiots who think they need to find out how much force is needed to bend an iPhone.

The reaction to this is very strange. I'm seeing Pringles (yes, PRINGLES) commenting on this. It's very bizarre.

I'm personally not too worried about the whole bending iPhone thing. And HTC and Samsung are ones to talk.

What do you know..their phones bend too!

So yeah. I am expecting Apple to soon release an open letter on the issue, and I am also assuming they will be issuing refunds for any bended devices.
Who is this pringles character.

Yet I'd rather take a bent iPhone than any of theirs.
I have to admit, though, it serves Apple right with their obsession with thinness.

Oh get off it. So every time people want to sit, according to you, they should take their phone out of their pocket?

I'm really struggling with that argument myself. Several people have pulled the Barney Stinson line and simply said put it in your jacket pocket. Well, what if I take my kids to an amusement park. Sorry kids, daddy can't ride because sitting with my phone will break it. Imagine all the phones lost because you couldn't keep it in your pocket when not in use? Oh wait, fanboys are infallible, they'd never forget anything, it's ingrained into their psyche like their own smug superiority...
