Well ask anyone with a Note and they will tell you different. I do believe Samsung were the first to bring a device like the S Pen to market? even before the MS Surface pro, I think? And the fact Wacom made it means it's going to work well and hardly 'copying' anyone.

So on that front they are innovative, it's a great interaction tool with a 12.1" screen. As for the rest they are pretty much the same as every other Android tab bar Samsung make their own CPU's.

I would go with incredible battery life, great sharp Retina screen, cameras are meh, same as current, I would also want full multitasking and the ability to show two screens at the same time etc but Apple style. I guess full blown OSX could be cool, would certainly make for a Pro product.

My main wishes are:

1. True multitasking, by opening two apps side by side. The 4 apps shown in the article's video feel a bit too much, but I really like how they can resize each window as freely as they want.

2. A better keyboard. Swipe Selection, please; we should be able to edit text without taking our hands away from the keyboard.

I would be happy with those two. Other tweaks would be...

a. Flash. The idea with the camera here would not be to use it to take pictures in the middle of a concert, rather to use it as a productivity tool (I often need to record pictures of small things for later comparison) and as a scanner. Having a flash would help.

b. Managing files. I wish I could reply to an e-mail with an attachment from Pages, but right now that's not possible - either I use Pages to make a new e-mail with the attachment, or I reply to an e-mail with the Mail app. Not to mention how Pages can only send one file at a time through e-mail. A central files management system could be robust enough to deal with this kind of nuisance.

c. Waaaay better iWorks for iPad. I'll probably have to wait for Office for iPad, though, and who knows when that will be released.

d. More customization options... Moving the app icons to create grids with empty spaces, themes, etc. I doubt very much we would ever get this one.

They have just introduced a tablet that has multi-tasking, an excellent feature.

Im absolutly an Apple adorer. My computers are all Mac's. Both god darn it's pathetic to see all the comments smashing Samsung for making this. People Apple is okay. And there OSX is the best. But product wise they have been a sleep for like 2 years now. Nothing new or groundbreaking and iOS 7 was a giant leap in the wrong direction.

It's okay to be a fan. But dont be fooled. Thats just naiv. iPhone was best for sure. But nowadays ? NOOOO way. iPhone 5S is just an okay product, but it gets beatings from even older Phones like the S4. Samsung has just the bigger balls and makes the better products nowadays. Love my Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 edition that beast the crap out of my iPad Air in useabliity.

Sorry for the spelling :) Last... We all here love Apple but stop buying till they realease the logo aint enough to sell anymore, and let them give us some goodies again.

But still laughing at some of you peoples comments. Sad fanbase then :-/

So a company who actually has a history of offering devices of numerous sizes is copying a company that offers jack squat for variety, and only recently offered a smaller tablet. All the while Samsung has had tablets from 7 to 10 inches for years. Oh dear, god bless the Apple fanboy and all his dreams. Never in the history of fanboys have I ever read such desperation. It's truly a new low in desperation when you need to reach all the way into rumoured devices to show innovation. Lmao...

Who cares? Seriously. Why is this important to you people?

I never said it was, and it's not.

If someone is writing me an email without thinking, I dont want to waste my time reading it.

I don't know, it seems like you should be able to write emails without focusing on them just as easily as you can walk without thinking about which leg you're putting forward at each step… provided that you write emails as often as you take steps.

lol... so pathetic.

But I do love Samsung TVs and they are the only Samsung product I own lol.

I'm forgetting about Samsung TVs. I have one, and it really bugs me that they thought it would be cool to NOT put buttons on it. Yes, you can control it by pressing weird touch-sensitive things on the bezel that are almost completely invisible to the human eye (not exaggerating, I had to put tape to mark them), and they work 10% of the time. Plus I timed it, and it takes longer to turn on than a Retina MacBook Pro and even crashes in rare cases. It takes about 20 seconds to switch inputs if you're cycling through them rather than choosing them directly with the remote. HOW DID THEY MAKE A TV THAT LAGS?

Samsung's strategy in mobile electronics can be summed up in three ways:

1) Try and see what Apple has in the pipeline and get it out before they do

2) Introduce 50 different size variations of basically the same thing and see which sticks

3) Develop gimmicky software features to distinguish products from the other me-too products in the market

And 4)
And produce processors, ram, hard drives, and displays for Apple...

And Probably a dishwasher, microwave, and refigerator for Apple HQ!

What's the point of being a bigger tablet if most of the extra space is bezel??

Use it as a coaster... or to eventually release a product with grip handles carved into that very bezel... or to better serve the rising population of people with large hands... seriously people are getting taller, thus hands are getting bigger.

I hope you don't seriously think Apple is Innovating...

Cool, so more productivity tools, a flash light would be good, can't see why they couldn't include one.
I think a full blown email client with cross app support should sum it up? Who makes it can be anyone? MS or Apple.

All since reading it on MacRumors 5 days ago! Samsung is fast!

People on here have been talking about a big ipad for a lot longer than that - since well before the ipad air launch. Then at ipad air launch people were saying the name change indicated the coming ipad pro/maxi whatever. I'd say its been 6 months or more that I've been hearing it on here.

Good

Glad to seem some new stuff. As unimpressed as I am with my new Air, I am looking at everything that comes out this year. Whether or not this 12" roadmap is something that will fit into my lifestyle remains to be seen, but I'm glad to have the choice of seeing it. Specs look good too, and honestly, Apple needs to step it up, in my personal and financially impacted opinion.

Yes, this is so true. I have no idea why they thought putting almost transparent buttons on a black bezel would work out. I have to put my face an inch to my TV to see them (not that I actually use the buttons too often, it's just a puzzling choice).

"First" does not always means "better".

I think what the contributor is saying is now samsung has released a new sized tablet, therefore possible litigation when Apple brings out their iPad Pro. You could argue that samsung didn't have to make this tablet amazing, just something near to the rumours of the apple version so they can sue them.

There is a line between what is convenient to hold in your hands for moderate periods of time, and what is more convenient to rest on your laptop or a desktop. I can only imagine 12.2" sits on the other side of that line for a majority of users.

Yes, but so what? Put it on your desk or lap and work away. That's mostly how I use my iPad Air anyway (the mini I use on the go).

These controlled leaks by apple are actually genius (assuming it's from apple). Rumors hit the web, competitors try to beat them, then the products flop. That's what happens when you rush and build a half-assed product.
