I have a big issue with Apple not providing charging bricks with new phones...

Samsung's hypocrisy in this regard is really vomit inducing...

Speed?

and this year's iPhone is 25% faster than last year's. Keep trying Samsmug

(And Kudos for paying the Qualcomm extortion, it was a nice try for Apple to break it by going with Intel, who failed on 5G, but sometimes you just gotta try to do what is right)
I'm not sure that chart really indicates what you're implying. That says the iPhone 11 is 6% faster than the Galaxy devices.
But if the early benchmarks are true, then iPhone 12 is 35% faster than those Galaxy devices.

I'll have to pay around 70€ to get Earpods, Lightning cable and 5W charger. No, I don't already own those. What really sucks is that Apple lightning cable is proprietary. If Apple was for real they would include a promotion where you can get them for free or massive discount if theres need. There should be a law that prohibits this. You don't sell an consumer electronic product with no way to power it.

I just got 4 lightning cables off Amazon for $10.

I fully agree with the fact, that there are enough adapters lying around in every house, but the fact, they now add an USB C cable is kind of very questionable. Apple stopped thinking a bit too early. Just the fact, that they did already include a USB C charger with the iPhone 11 does not make it any better.
Not to mention the USB C power adapter only came with the iPhone 11 Pro, not the iPhone 11. All iPhone 12 models come with a USB C cable. Also, most people upgrading to the iPhone 12 will do so from a device older than the iPhone 11 Pro.

I mean I’m a tech enthusiast and even I don’t have a USB C adapter lol.

I literally had to start giving away charging bricks because we had accumulated so many.

My wife keeps one pair of earpods in her backpack, I keep on at my desk and one in my work bag, and then I think I have two more sitting in a drawer, but then almost always use my AirPods.

Some people might find the change silly.
I totally get it.

I find blocks under the couch and behind the dresser I have so many.

Me too, I’ve got them all over the place. Half the time if my iPhone needs a quick bump I just use the MacBook to charge it. Out of 6 Apple chargers I have there’s currently 1 in use.
Plus the iPhone 12 pro is £50 less than last year, and I’m pretty sure that the pound hasn’t improved against the dollar lol. So I’m not complaining.

Doesn’t everyone have some type of USB port to plug things into nowadays? The headphones are crap. I’d rather them do what they did and raise the base storage and keep the phone the same price.

Apple's removal of the power adapter, at least, is purely driven by profit. Sure, there's a side environmental benefit, but that's just something extra that they're using as marketing. If they're worried about redundancy of the chargers they should've included a 18 or 20W USB-C charger since not many households would have these instead of measly 5-10W USB-A charger that everyone has. Of course I'm not an average household so have at least 5 different USB-C chargers ranging from 18W to 60W ;)

Por que no los dos? It can be both environmental and cost cutting. I got their survey and was like “I don’t need another charger because already have six of them.” I don’t need another and I’d rather they put the value into the phone at this point.

Surprising Samsung can openly mock Apple despite doing so much business with them. I guess it’s just part of the game, but their pitch isn’t compelling.

“Apple has 5G...but we have had it for a while, so buy our phone now!”

Um, no one without a 5G cares about you having 5G “for a while” if both the iPhone and Samsung phones have them today. They can just buy the 5G iPhone and forget you.

Samsungs chance to gain customers while they had 5G was BEFORE Apple put 5G in their iPhone. That’s over...you had your chance. Hope you did well.

I get that Apple wants to save waste and most people don’t use their adapters in the box. But most people don’t have USB C adapters. So they can’t even use the USB C cable that comes with it. I think Apple should’ve included an adapter this year and going forward not include one.
I get what you're saying but that's the customer's responsibility to check what comes in the box BEFORE purchase so they can be prepared to use the product. That goes with any product including clothing.

wait 3 years and it will be a trend. But still stupid and greedy because in Brazil they raised the price of iPhone 11 and still removed the adapters. shame.

the price increase is only about greed.... has nothing to do with inflation of your currency, right?

I'll be saving this post so next year when they ditch it I'm gonna troll the **** out of their post.
