I certainly wouldn’t mind either and I think Apple is looking to accomplish both in some ways. The new Mac Pro is supposed to be somewhat modular so let’s see what that actually means, but with support for eGPU’s, it looks like they want to keep the thin and light designs that people want, but allow them to hook up to more power when needed. In terms of a gaming machine, yea I don’t ever see this happening, but games on tvOS will get more advanced at some point, but that’s likely pretty far down the road.

Yup, things change depending on consumer trends. They are a business. I do expect pencil support for the X Plus one day though.
I sure hope so. The big phones SHOULD have more and better capabilities.

To be honest, I would like one for all sorts of things. Taking notes, for example; sometimes I like to use a stylus. And I think businesses and their customers would love one for signatures. Would be nicer than using my finger for credit card purchases, which always looks like I signed with my elbow.

Fair enough. As I mentioned in a few responses, there is a small niche group of people who want one, but the general consumer mass market does not. That’s probably why no other manufacturers have focused on the old school stylus. There are third party ones you can buy for iPhones though so maybe that’s the route you take if it’s that important to you.

LOL the last ad could be used as a ad against the S9 and S9 Plus. Terrible marketing, consumers don't like negative ads, its been proven over and over again. Focus on your product (Note 9) and tell me why I should switch to it by highlighting its new features, wait there are none...

I wouldn’t mind one. I wouldn’t choose a galaxy note over an iPhone just for the stylus but I wouldn’t mind one for the iPhone.

The third party ones just aren’t very good. Before I got my iPad Pro 10.5 and Apple Pencil I bought a third Party stylus for ~ $80 to use with my old iPad Air 2 and it wasn’t very good. It was supposed to have palm rejection but it didn’t really work. So I’d rather have an Apple made one.

Anyone remember when android phones used to crush iPhone benchmarks? No one cared then lol it was all about performance and optimization. Now is
It's all the sites cling too. I suppose it adds to the herd mentality. All I know is in real world speed test the iPhone X loses to the S9 and Note 8.

this is because the poor performance of storage speed in some models.
Nobody seems to care about this, but is just same important as RAM, GPU or CPU...

Yea I wonder what they’ll do with it. The current Pencil feels way too large to use on an iPhone. I don’t see them having multiple sized Pencil’s, but I guess we’ll see.

Their features are... all XD
They have all you can put in a phone, from the begining of smarthphone era, just in case someone could miss some feature.
Galaxy 2032 would still have jack, finger reader, 25 cameras, usb-c, sd card together with 20 years of innovarion technology. All making troubles as windows users might know... who cares about size, just a bigger screen will justify the new size for make room to everything

Well now on that point, you are absolutely wrong. There's lots of bullying going on these days. These ads are mild in comparison!

Oh yes, I agree, VERY mild in what you could do if you really wanted to.
Bringing up quotes from the past, showing poor/shoddy designs from the past.
One could really twist the knife.

Let's be honest, Very few Mac fans are going to be keen on the ads, so it's a given it stirs up so many issues here.

If you ARE a mac fan, and you think these ads are stupid and do Samsung no favors, then you should applaud them, and hope they keep them up. The last thing you want Samsung to do is make amazing ads which make people stop buying iPhone and buying Galaxy phones :)

My heart tells me I hope that Apple really goes after Samsung when the new iPhones comes out. My brain says to just ignore them and go your own merry way.

Generally speaking Android comes out with newer tech first. Facial unlocking has been a think for them for a bit now. Apple only has it on the iPhone X.

As a general rule if you want bleeding edge, Android is and has been your answer.
If you want polished then Apple is your answer. Sadly, iOS 11 has shown Apple may not be the answer so here's to hoping 12 has them clean up their act a bit.

Touchwiz enough said and Samsung is just sleazy as a company it’s sad

And the iPhone X is still faster than the Note 9. lol
And the x (2018) will be even faster ;-)

The note 9 hype will die down after iPhone 2018 releases

Face unlock on android is nothing like Face ID on iPhone X. The only similarity here is "Face" in the name of the feature.

When it is all of android (including a plethora of manufacturers) against iOS (one manufacturer) it does look grim for iOS when it comes to innovations. Even still, Apple does quite well overall, even with it's size disadvantage.

But, like many Android innovations pulled down from PCs / Linux, Apple brings quite a bit over from the Mac & MacOS. At this point in time, these devices are less phones with software, and more pocket computers with cellular radios built in.

Apple used to do this... remember?

"I'm a Mac... and I'm a PC."

Correct. And at that time... Apple was in a weak position in the PC market.

So is Samsung admitting that Apple is actually the stronger competitor? Is their only option to tear-down Apple and point out flaws in the iPhone?

It's funny though... Apple isn't really the cause of Samsung's problems.

Samsung seems to be ignoring all the Chinese manufacturers who are selling similar/better/cheaper Android phones.

I think they're more to blame for Samsung's 10% drop in sales YoY.

The group FaceTime part is pretty darn weak in my opinion. If your only counter to it is "Why would I want to do that?", why even bring it up in the first place? All you've done is state a feature the competition has that you don't.

The point was to display how asinine a feature it is. Unless you’re a business CEO holding FaceTime meetings with your board or something, nobody needs the ability to FT 32 people. It’s a fake feature. You’ll never use it.

I’m looking forward to it. I have iOS devices deployed over a team of 60. This will be cheaper than a Skype license and I’ll be able to easily have calls with regional teams of 25. Can’t wait. You’re right though, it’s a niche group of people, just like a stylus. Both aren’t marketable features in my eyes.

It’s actually even easier, just hold up a picture. Honestly, there’s flaws in both videos we are referencing. Just move on.

Store models are set up to unlock all faces otherwise how will random customers demo the phone?

Here's the owner of the original video admitting his mistake.
