Intel modem is not fine. When it comes to wireless signal processing there are many factors:
Bandwidth, Speed, Latency, Signal attenuation etc

Speed is meaningless to most people (whether they know it or not), getting reception is much more important. The Intel chip has bad reception in comparison to Qualcomm chips (given the same signal to noise ratio).

In my experience it's fine and i've been to many countries in the last 8 months.

Despite having a complete Apple Eco system (Airport extreme, Express, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Air, iPods and even a G3, Powerbook 150 and a Lisa) I just got my hands on the Samsung S9+, it's AMAZING. I never thought it would be harder to change the opinion of Apple users than a Trump supporter but I do invite you to try out the phone before you drink the Apple cool aid. It's incredible, better low light pictures, 464 gigs of storage with micro SD card add-on and better battery life. Not to mention in charges on Samsung $29 wireless charger in 2 hours instead of Apple's proposed charging mat that's going to cost $149. Don't knock it until you're tried it.
You wrote all that to convince us what??

I’m not buying it.

Here is a very simple reason for why i like the stylus on the note. Choice when i need a higher level of accuracy say when im using Photoshop or lightroom for an on the fly edit its there, when i dont i use my finger. Thats why Choice is a wonderful thing, you dont have to use it at all, but when you do its there all built into the phone.

Sure i don't use it every day of the week, far from it.

Its surprising how handy it is when you need to take a quick note down, no carrying pen and paper and the fact you can take the stylus out and take a note Without Unlocking the phone is a great security measure when your out and about, be it a meeting note, a telephone number an email.

Its not just about a stylus its the additional functions the software with it brings. Sure they are not magical or mindblowing but they are practical and useful.

Great. I'm not sure that's a compelling reason but I agree that choice is a good thing. How about my choice not to pay more for an iPhone for a feature I (and most people) won't use.

There are third-parties who make a stylus for iPhone. Have you ever bought one?

I think

Lost in what sense???

Is there a source to prove your last statement? I thought politicians blame the negative ads for their losses. So it proves that negative ads work.

Wait!! I have s8 and I have already 8 updates in one year.
And you want a phone to be released with a beta software? You know, every company does not want to be like apple in the sense that don't test the software and release it so that users have to test it.

8 updates in a year? Enjoy them while you get them. The S8 is "old" and will be dropped off Samsung's radar. You'll be lucky to get an update a year. Just look at the S7. Some don't even have Oreo. And by the way I am saying this an a current Android user myself.

Maybe or maybe not . But you maybe right. U will wait and see. This is my first serious entry to Android. I did burn when I switched to Motorola Atrix. It was a horrible phone and I swore never to buy Motorola again. I have been using iPhone all along. Let's see how it goes. I am happy with the phone at present.

The S7 does have Oreo. The S8 will get android P next year and continue to receive security updates until 2020.

Seeing how Macrumors has tuned into a Samsung website lately it will be interesting to see if it will report Note 9's outstanding display test results making it by far the best screen in a smartphone.

The fact that it's specifically acceptable to you personally doesn't mean much.
But hey good luck defending that intel modem to the death, it certainly won't make it better or as good as Qualcomms's 2 year old modem.

You are talking nonsense. I have been to Spain, Portugal, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Hungary in last 8 months and have never had any problems with my internet speeds. But hey you can continue to waste your time on a non issue.

Nonsense? What nonsense?
Nobody said you had problems with your phone, nobody asked about your own personal experience.

Aside from pros and creators, not everyone need a truly smartphone like the Note 9. The average Joes are content with a basic iPhone.

basic iPhone. LOL

iPhone 6.1" and 6.5".

please post a link to where Tim Cook, Craig or any of those guys that make announcements have come out and stated that....because I've found NOTHING on apple's website where they talk about a dual sim iPhone.

The dual-SIM code has been found numerous times in the latest iOS 12 beta by developers like Guilherme Rambo. Not to mention credible analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo.

It's pretty obvious Tim Cook isn't going to talk about future products.

iPhone basic lol.

iPhone X with superior chip, 3D facial scanning technology, and will stand the test of time. It will work lag free for years
To come while the note 9 will maybe get updates for 2. And probably start lagging after 6 months with android bloatware and poor system management.

But cool Bluetooth stylus and screen. That’s about it. Mind you the stylus is the only new thing on it. Everything else is last version S9
technology which tanked in sales. With Samsung throwing diss commercials at Apple for FaceTime and SD storage they’re really showing their desperation.

Guess I’ll stick with my beginner iPhone 7 Plus. Lol.

I guess Apples faster CPU is nonsense too? The Intel modem sucks btw, have seen first hand how it struggles in bad reception areas compared to the S9. Why cant iPhone fans admit when ANYTHING is inferior in the iPhone.

My experience in years of the same situation I can say that FaceTime deals horribly with suboptimal connection. It also shows weird behaviour all the time, e.g. FaceTime only ringing on some devices, but not others, video randomly turning off, odd video artefacts etc. Usually I have much more consistent experiences with Skype for example. Quality on those services can drop significantly, but it usually does not drop completely, which is what I usually see on FaceTime. Sure, it's convenient, but it sure as hell is not executed well.

Same here for me. With a 200 MBPS connection on both sides, call drops, video issues happens with FaceTime where as Skype or WeChat has much better video and audio quality. And world's biggest mobile markets such as China and India don't use FaceTime as much as other services. WhatsApp in India, WeChat,QQ in China rule the video calliing.

Bad reception is an oxymoron.

Yeah, also Samsung just announced their first 5G modem. It's an inhouse chips which is also compatible with legacy networks like 2G GSM/CDMA, 3G WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, HSPA, and 4G LTE.
In the meantime Apple uses trash Intel modems.

Umm..it’s not in the galaxy note 9 and won’t be in the s10. Not much of a point there.

Nothing wrong with intel modems.

At this point I think the only holdup on introducing a pencil for the iPhone is nobody on their executive team can say "the new iPhone Apple pencil available today for only $299" with a straight face.

And by your logic, Apple might as well just introduce a phone with a headphone jack and microSD slot to hush those who make fun of Apple's lack of basic functionality. But that will never happen. Lucky for us, Apple is a company with the COURAGE to gimp the crap out of a product in the name of profits.

I have 128GB so I don’t need an sd card slot (at the moment). I also only have the 6S, so the issue of no headphone jack hasn’t arisen yet. To be fair, the only reason I didn’t buy the 7 was because of the missing headphone jack. I wasn’t sold on paying an extortionate price for crap sound and to look like I have cigarette butts sticking out of my ears for Apple’s solution to that problem. (AirPods).

To get the near edge to edge display of the X, maybe they had to get rid of it, and wanted to do so sooner rather than later?

No. Anyway. What gets to me mostly is the resolution of the Mac, or at least the limitation put on it by Apple. I have to use a third party app to get the desktop space I need. The screen is capable, it is just limited. That’s just utter bullsh*t if you ask me.
