Doesn't matter if you have synthetic benchmarks of a super computer when it's still running a dumb OS that still doesn't allow placing app icons anywhere on home screen, can't swipe away and do something else during incoming call, doesn't have proper background multitasking, doesn't have VP9 (YouTube) hardware decoding, no split screen multitasking, no precision pen input, etc.

Good thing I don’t care about any of that. Be right back, I’m gonna go to an Android site to complain about products I don’t use.

WeChat, Facebook, WhatsApp already allow group video calling for up to 9, 6, and 4 people, respectively.

FaceTime for 32 people is just a "sure, but why?" feature. It feels like a high number Apple chose just because they were late to the game.

I can’t wait for this. I manage a team of 60 people using my iPad Pro and I’ll love to be able to do video calls with my regional team of 24 people. I think this is great for businesses.

Of course it does, in the right context, as it does with a large device where finer control matters. A few of us here have been asking for compelling reasons for a stylus on a small device like a phone. Really not trying to be argumentative but it doesn't make sense. I can't honestly think of any, and those claiming it's so awesome mmipo yet to provide concrete examples to back that up.

Ok

Agreed. Some of my friends are moving away from Samsung as they think they too expensive now. Why buy Samsung when you can get some really good cheaper phones running the same OS?

I'm not following you. All of those apps are available on iOS as well.
It's simple really. Android being a dominant smartphone platform, it guarantees that any real need will be addressed on it.

Are you saying that 10 is random limit but 32 is not? I am pretty sure anything above 4 almost never happens in real life.

I'm saying.

Craig: How many can we do at the same time?
Dev: Maybe 32
Craig: No, 10 is better. Do that instead

That doesn't make any sense

They can probably do more than 32 but felt they need some kind of limit

Failing sales as number 1? Lol

Phones shipped do not equal sales.
Apple outsells most companies just on pre orders. Samsung just ships massive amount of phones to all retail stores but still sales are low. Both are good phones, like most things they have their differences, The Ads are kind silly because everyone has different taste. But as far as iPhone goes I for one like the Eco system that apple has accomplish with apple devices working together. Samsung does not make Android they may customize things but they don't own the operating system so they are limited to a lot of things specially when it comes to updates to correct system issues or adjust settings too many devices under Samsung umbrella, I think that makes a difference at least to me I like when something is not right , There is an update for that. New feature here is an update for that. Makes a difference. I have seen lots of people I know switch from android to iPhone more that I have seen iPhone to Samsung, does that mean iPhone is better NOT, its taste and choices of what each individual likes and wants.

Just use Skype for Business. It's limit is 250. That should cover your entire group (with room to grow)

This ad is a standard upward attack strategy used by anybody who has studied marketing or has earned an MBA.

Pepsi has used this strategy against Coke countless times.

Once again, Marketing 101.

And to this day, Coke still enjoys a larger market share than Pepsi. But hey, if your MBA says it works, than it must be really smart.

In some things yes sure it would make sense to make fun of Apple but in a lot of other things its like... DUH ofcourse your phone is better cause it's newer so it has X faster or Y better thing...
American politics is the same way, talk more !@#$ about the other guy and you're the betterr candidate!

PepsiCo now has 2-3x the revenue, net income, and number of employees compared to the Coca-Cola Company.

The power of an education. Try it someday.

Maybe I'm unfamiliar with retail inventory practices... but don't stores have to order phones before Samsung ships products to them?

You make it sound like Samsung just keeps shipping phones to stores regardless of whether they're selling or not.

Are they just piling up in a warehouse somewhere? And at some point do they get shipped back to Samsung?

I would imagine each store would have a handle on how much inventory they need to order... based on how much is going out the doors with consumers.

If a store orders 10 Galaxy Notes and they sell out in a week... then they might order 20 next week.

But if sales slow down... and they still have many of those 20 still leftover... the store wouldn't order another 20 for the following week... right?

No store wants inventory to pile up. And a company like Samsung wouldn't want that to happen anyway. They should only ship phones to stores who can actually sell them.

I was LMAO when the Samsung glitch was randomly sending users pictures to contacts!

Remember the time that the Samsungs were starting on fire up and every airport in the country had to announce before each flight that you weren't allowed to even bring one of the phones on board?

Good times, good times...

"The Galaxy Note 9 is really powerful, man"

Except when it's benchmarked against an 11 month old iPhone X

Yeah, and all those car ads that state how powerful their cars are with all that horsepower when there are faster cars. Sheesh. Don't those jokers know Marketing 101? /s

There is always something better and faster. How much of that Bionic chip do you really need to look at emails, listen to music and browse social media anyways?

You two sound like you should start a Apple Fan Club. Maybe you could meet here and attract other Apple Fans? Oh...wait....

Samsung,
Give us a commercial that highlights the main attributes and new features of your phone all in one commercial (and show the damn phone!). Then follow that up with ads that showcase cool apps that fully utilize the hardware. Apple knows how to do that really well. Maybe there should be an ingenious ad about your ads.

It’s hilarious that Samsung still doesn’t understand that the real enemy that will cause their demise in the smartphone industry is other Android manufacturers, not Apple.

It’s right in front of their noses and they’re completely blind to it.
No they just know comparing to Chinese OEMs won’t get the internet attention that comparing to Apple does. They just want a Verge article with hundreds of fanboy flame war comments.

I criticize Apple whenever it's deserved, but I don't skulk around Android forums because I'm worried that someone else prefers a different kind of telephone than I do.

I love how Samsung knocks FaceTime, but we all know they would absolutely kill to have a video platform even remotely as successful as FaceTime/iMessage. These ads do nothing but make me hate Samsung more. I guess it appeals to customers they all ready have and they need to do whatever possible to retain them by reenforcing their purchasing decision.

The idea is there for the commercials, but the execution seems childish. I'm all for competition, but there should be a different way to present the argument because it just makes Samsung look like it's taking the lower road against Apple.

This!

Not an 11 month old. It’s 9 months old. iPhone X released on November 3, 2017.

Was announced and manufactured from September. Same processor as the 8. It’s 11 months old.
