Nothing strange, Android phones are known to come with bunch of bloatware, right out the box.
no one in their right mind calls the best Music streaming service bloatware, but ok..so here are the actual bloatware on my iPhone :
Apple Music,iTunes store,Home,News,Apple Maps,Apple Books,Videos.Stocks,..

You can delete the Stocks App you know. A lot of Android bloatware can't be deleted unless you root the phone...
Specify the Apps, and the Apple stocks was an example of a bloat app.
Why do Macs come with, dictionary, apple books, facetime, Siri, itunes, maps, preview, home etc...?
Same for iPhone's bloatware. What? You're going to say that's the Apps that users will use out of the box?
Well same for Spotify, Facebook. Chrome etc... But not everyone uses them right? Well I don't use Maps, Facetime, or Siri as well.

Apple should approach Sony, LG, Nokia and OnePlus for a similar partnership, then create a UWP-coded Apple Music Windows app and bundle that too with every copy. I'd rather get that than Candy Crush Saga or some crap.

So not only there are bloatware from Microsoft, now there's spotify as well. Oh well, at least we are no longer in the age of phones with just 16GB storage.

How can you turn down free music? It's not like it's rubbish either so I never got the tantrums some had when they got an album from a top band for free.
They pushed it down your throat, and couldn't be deleted? Nobody asked for it either.

Fear not! Apple is still selling 16GB Phones at flagship prices if you want to buy some. ;)

Actually you can't uninstall a lot of the pre-loaded apps on Androids. I doubt you'll be able to uninstall Spotify either if Samsung are getting paid, and surely they are.
Which Apps are you talking about specifically? I can uninstall all the pre-loaded Apps that came in my phones, in fact you know in the setup page you can choose if you want to install them or not? Are you basing your opinion from self experience or from iPhone fandoom bandwagons?

Geez, drinking vinegar again? iCloud storage is more of a synching service, than a long term storage platform Just get your free 15gb of onedrive and google drive, and backup away! Video app? no, pretty sure there is no app "Video" in iOs. iTunes is on a Mac or a PC, LOL.

iCloud storage is syncing and storage. You have Files app now that can be used to store any documents on your iCloud

Video App is right there, preinstalled with every new iPhone out of the box. Ever seen this?

iTunes Store is also preinstalled on iOS, not as music/video player, that's just another apps. It's another store, right beside the AppStore

This
dims

Just like I said, it looks pretty and colorful, not as intrusive but still it's still ads that Apple puts inside every iPhone. Look, I'm fine with it, but please .. most iPhone users are complaining about how bloated Android is, but then forget that iOS is not as innocent as you think.

Samsung didn't include any bloatware, Spotify is the most used Music streaming App, and they have a partnership with Samsung so it's extremely expected for them to pre-install the App plus offering 6 months of Premium Membership. Just because one does, the other does too.. That's the point, the other user was talking on how Samsung installs bloatware in their devices, when in reality Apple has it's own too. The arguments are so weak that they tend to start keeping their tone up.
Every Android devices comes with a lot of useless things, in Italy even with carrier apps. Samsung store too even if you have Play store...

What?

That's carrier problems, not the device itself. I can't complain of my unlocked devices. What's the deal with Samsung store? You know it's there where you download stuff for the Galaxy Watch etc?

Good discussion but one tricky to answer. When becomes a pre-installed app bloat?

For me I call stuff bloat if there is functionality duplication. The Galaxy s10 now ships with a whopping 3 mediaplayers. Samsung Music (which has Spotify integration), Google Play Music (because they must) and now Spotify. If you count the duplicates for gallery, email, store, calendar, notes and on my previous galaxy there was also google drive, samsung cloud, onedrive and dropbox in the factory images...

The Apple solution isn’t ideal either. You can remove apps you don’t want to use but as soon as you click a mail link it will start nagging to install the mailapp.

For tech geeks it seems the best way to ship a phone is just the OS without apps and services. But 99 percent of the users want a full packed phone when they spend 1000 dollars.

As for Apple Music. I like it a lot but it is unusable, ugly and laggy on windows. So as long as they don’t fix this or release a web player with iCloud Music functionality it is a no go for many people who like listening to music at work or their game desktop. And before people point me to fan made webplayers: none can acces my own uploaded music since there isn’t an open API for it. Plus if I pay for a service I want the company I pay do the heavy lifting and not ‘fans’

Spotify is bloatware? What a constructive argument!
Yes it is. Can I use it to play my personal music library? Will it be the route mp3s and wave files will be handled? If not, it’s definitely bloatwear.

Pre installed third party apps is one of the main reasons I switched to iPhone way back when. There was a huge conflict between AT&T and Apple with the first iPhone, AT&T wanted to put some of their apps on the phone out of the box (and an ATT logo on the phone)

And this is why I will now only buy Google branded phones, I don't want all of the preinstalled garbage, let me choose what I want on my phone and what I don't, don't take up my storage that I paid for with useless apps like Spotify.

iPhones come with Apple Music preinstalled. Why is one considered bloatware and the other not?
Apple Music is also bloatware, I consider them the same.
