Samsung prove you can have cutting edge beautiful design without inconveniencing people. Wired headphones aren't going anywhere. They're here to stay.
This makes the iPhone 6/7 look very antiquated.
Thank you for giving me the link. I know iOS handles apps differently than android. What I meant was not the memory usage when running but the app space it uses itself (like disk space when installed). That space is growing over time. Let's say you've installed solitaire and the app uses 37,7 mb when installed at first. Over time it uses 200 mb and there is no way to get it back to its original size other then to delete and reinstall it. Not very user friendly imo.
All that and a headphone jack! You're move apple.
apple will come back hard, its still a crappy android and nothing special screen might look nice but it will be over saturated like all there phones
The presentation was lame, I agree! And Samsung's apps were never ANY good, especially compared to what Google has to offer. The design is nice but not impressed over all with the software and the presentations are cringeworthy.
What are you always going on about. A leak is a source. It might not always be reliable but it is a source.A leak isn't a source and nor does that answer his question.
Yes but but but.. they still coped the plus sign from a iphone released 2 years later, surely you know how it works....Samsung had an S4+.
The presentation was lame, I agree! And Samsung's apps were never ANY good, especially compared to what Google has to offer.
SAD thing is that you were grinning typing this thinking you had come up with something Witty!! How lame.It looks pretty hot. Hopefully it doesn't catch on fire.
I'm proud to say I don't own a single Samsung product.
No to Samsung mobile devices
No to Samsung displays
No to Samsung flash storage
No to Samsung TVs
No to Samsung washing machines
No to Samsung music systems
No to Samsung optical media players
No to Samsung cookers
No to Samsung toasters
Yes regrettably Apple probably has put Samsung components into some of my iOS devices and Macs, but whenever I have the choice I avoid Samsung like the plague.
I'm of the Jim Dalrymple school of thought on Samsung.
This iris/facial recognition stuff is just stupid imo and I don't care if it's Samsung or Apple doing it. There is nothing easier and quicker than a quick print identification. It's just natural.
The difference is that Apple is creating their own software from scratch, whereas Samsung simply adds their stuff on top of Android. If they really want to be like Apple, they should write their own OS instead of slapping stuff on top of someone else's to make things look different, and in the process adding bloat, lag and other side effects.Honestly, the S8 hardware with Pixel software, no bloat, lag, etc., would make a decent phone. Samsung would rather follow the Apple route and create their own software. Dunno if it's still flawed.
That's one of deal-breakers for one of these OEM Android phones. The only Android handsets I would consider would be either Pixel or Nexus, at least they get updates directly from Google as soon as they are released.Even more of a reason to stick with iOS. Android is too fragmented, inconsistent, and the majority are stuck with the software that was shipped with the box unable to upgrade to the latest OS. It seems like Android OEMs drop support after a year in my personal experience.
I havent used the iris thing, but in videos I have seen it looks just as fast as the fingerprint thing. I can see this being an issue, potentially, if you are just trying to unlock on top of a table though. This iris/facial recognition stuff is just stupid imo and I don't care if it's Samsung or Apple doing it. There is nothing easier and quicker than a quick print identification. It's just natural.
Apple got lucky with the exploding S7, I don't think Apple will be as lucky this time.
iPhone 8 will top it, I know it.
Google and partners are tackling this problem. The new ones do get updates. Nougat is out since... october?See it's either no support or they get delayed rather than Google/Apple flagships receiving it immediately upon release.
No it's the software and Samsung ecosystem that will make it suck
