Oh for goodness' sakes. The reviews say that the phone itself doesn't feel big, and I believe it from experience.

It's barely bigger than my Galaxy Nexus, which fits just fine in my hand and any pocket.

But that's Your hands v's the average ;)

Funny considering that 90 percent of this thread - if not more are the same posts over and over.

Well sure but you just seem like you're sucking up to the editors or something. You literally said the exact same thing a few pages ago. How this was put here for hits and how you commend the editors. Just an observation:cool:

The iPhone is a toy phone with a itsy-bitsy display that people who work in Coffee Shops love because they can take Instagram pictures of their food and Starbuck's cups and think that they are so creative.

Lol.

Galaxy SIII > Toy iPhone with 2009 design and tech

Lol.

Really? That's what you're culling from my 2nd post in this thread. Just the sarcastic/snarky comment towards the editors? Not sucking up. I'm being cynical/jaded. Maybe that didn't come through?

In any event - read the rest of my 2nd post. That was really the "point" of my post.

By that logic (meaning none)

the GSIII is for people who laugh at their own jokes because they think they are 'that' clever & funny - even when a tumbleweed is rolling right past them.....

So Samsung have copied Siri, iCloud, iTunes Match, and AirPlay. They copy everything, just like Borat's neighbour:

Android had had Voice recognition for years, Cloud computing was being done in 2004, Airplay, again, Android had had for years.

Apple copy and rebrand to Barristas. Others innovate.

SIII > iPhone

Lol

Ok ok geez, why are you getting so defensive. I was just making an observation. You said it once, no one cares, then you repeat the exact same thing again like you're looking for validation or something. Let's just drop it.

your signature is pretty sweeping isn't it, when was the exact time and date of apples demise? Not saying it couldn't happen I am merely stating that it hasn't yet

Answer me this, have you ever taken an Instagram picture of a Coffee cup?

Samsung's Galaxy III

Ok I'll hand it to them this is a really nice exceptional one and so are more than worthy of a round one points. Now as Apple sits on the corner with Technology in the bucket we await the beginning of round 2 hopefully with some liquid metal out of the box in the glove of the iPhone 5:apple::cool:

Android had voice dictation. Voice recognition with artificial AI is different
Cloud computing was being done by Apple prior to 2004. In fact back to 2000 with iTools.

If you're going to diss fact's - then try and do so in a logical manner.

No - never. Neither do i work in a coffee shop or have any interest in going to one.

You need to work on your chat up lines.

I currently own a 4S and a One X. I also have owned in past 12 - 18 months a Bold 9900, Torch 9860, Sensation, Sensation XE, GSII, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nokia N9 & a Lumia 800. So I'm not unaccustomed to other handsets or mobile operating systems either.

Okay, I know this might be difficult for some of you on this thread...but imagine if the iPhone4S was made by Samsung and the Galaxy SIII was made by Apple. I'd bet the majority of posts here would be how awesome the new phone is. Plus all the "copying" issues would be brushed aside as just Apple being competitive and/or improving upon the iPhone.

Please.. let's not lower ourselves to fanboi level..

Too late... as of this post, that happened like 27 pages ago :p

Yikes. Coming from an iPhone user, the amount of insecurity here is ridiculous. Believe it or not, some people want some different.

Wait, we're allowed to think different? ;)

Why are so many people buying Samsung phones ... I mean it's designed in Korea ... how uncool is that compared to being designed in California ...

Ethno-centric much?

You've been saying the same thing over and over again on this thread too... like how S Voice is a blatant copy of Siri. Just sayin'

Relax buddy. You're the one that made this an "issue" not me. Apparently just ignoring what you considered a duplicate post was too hard. It's cool. We can both move on :)

I love when people make statements like this. "i bet if Apple made this ugly abomination of a phone, everyone would like it!" What's the point of this? Apple would never, in a million years, make a phone this ugly. You know it and i know it. But i guess making up the silly hypotheticals is the only way to somehow come to grips with how horrible this phone looks!

Yep you're right.

a ha haaa ... it should be April Fools' Day ... the new Galaxy SIII is a joke.

What the hell is up with all the fat phones? Personally I prefer my iPhone by FAR!

But for my second line I'm always toying with some other smart phone ... Most recently had the Nokia Lumia 900 for a few weeks then a brief stint with the HTC One X ... far too big for a phone and I'm no small person ... settled with an HTC One S for now and it's a nice size at 4.3 inches.

To see Samsung bet this size on their flagship device is a mistake. It will follow along with the collapse of Android perfectly >

See what happens when you're not laserbeam focused on the user experience.

I think it goes both ways. I think some pro-Android posters here do take it too far, but to be fair, a lot of the anti-Samsung, anti-Galaxy arguments on this thread are either exaggerated, untrue, or just straw man arguments. I think posts like that cause other people to want to post their side's argument even more.

It seems like most people care only about winning the argument no matter what means and what evidence they have. Unfortunately, nobody gets paid to do so (except perhaps the MacRumors staff, which probably posts these things in anticipation of these "debates" that will generate hits)

But seriously, sometimes I think a debate on religion or on politics might be more civil and logical than the Mac vs PC or iOS vs Android arguments here.... and that's saying a lot!! ;)

There seem to be two conflicting ideas here.

1. Samsung and Android copy
2. Apple copies, everything existed before.

But both are actually true. What Apples biggest contribution is is that it is willing to take unproven concepts to market massively. Then, when people see that it's gone good, they copy.
You cannot tell me that the SGSI had to look like that. You can't tell me that samsung's packaging has to look exactly like Apple's. You can't tell me that their chargers have to be the same. You can't tell me that ASUS' charger has to be exactly like the one from MBP.
These are just a few examples of how everybody is copying.
What Apple does is a lot different. They take ideas, or not widely known products, and make them known. Because they know how to.

Ok if you like this sort of thing. A big flashy feature set driven product.

Yes I'm biased as its not from apple and I admit my judgement may be clouded so take this for what it's worth.

But would Jonny Ive have produced this??

Less is more. And this is a perfect example, to me anyway, of this.

But hey it is what it is.

Don't forget, if jonny Ive produced this, all Apple users would love it!

That thing is HUGE!!! Seriously I have the biggest hands of anyone I know and I doubt I'd be able to use that phone with one hand.

And it's only now got features the iPhone 4S had last year, yup good work samsung...STILL playing catch up hahahaha.

My quote has nothing to do with how ugly the phone looks and everything to do with the insecure responses of many on this thread.
