Dear Cupertino, ...

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a slightly thicker iPhone/iPad or Galaxy or whatever if they used that extra space for a bigger battery. I mean phones like the Galaxy SII and Moto RAZR are already pretty thin... Unfortunately, it seems most people are caught up with thinner is better and so the phone companies are catering towards them

The Motorola RAZR MAXX seemed like a good idea but I guess it never received the traction necessary to cause other companies to start imitating. :(

Unlike many other phones, Samsung phone design allows for the use of a bigger battery. Thicker battery comes with a different back panel.

No but I do know you're an anti-Apple troll. Why do you post here anyway?

Btw, who are most people besides yourself?

Poor people. At the premium end of the smartphone market apple dominates market share. Android dominates the quasi low end smartphone market.

Android also dominates smart people market share who prefer better and cheaper phones.

The best thing for Apple and the best thing for it's fans is a competitor. Competition breeds innovation, and we just know that Apple can make even cooler stuff because they have Samsung breathing down their neck!

Also remember that 'imitation is the best form of flattery', and no matter how much Samsung are dogs for directly copying a lot of iPhone/iOS stuff, Apple will always bring it out first :D

Apple are slow to bring things out.
Dual Core Phones
Cloud Syncing
Multitasking
MMS
Wireless Hotspot
Notification System
Voice Commands
Launching Apps/Camera from lock screen
OTA Updates

All the smart ppl buy Android?

From your link: "since Samsung doesn't report unit numbers, idc and it's competitors have to estimate how many devices the company sells"

Indeed other companies have estimated that Samsung sold less then apple.

So you just believe whoever supports your argument, huh?

Apple will eventually bring out a 4" screen. Capacitive and non physical button design is on the to do list as well :)

Thee are two most reputable companies in this arena: IDC and Gartner and they both reported that Samsung is on top. All others are very minor players.
The only company that reported bigger market share for Apple was iSupply (oh, the irony) which is a much smaller player. Just try googling, say, Gartner (33 million hits) and iSupply (477K hits).

Good effort ;)

"I can fit eight gs3s in my pants, anyone who can't has girl pants!"

I guess the girl pants wearers that cant fit a GS3 in their pants can put it in the same place where they carry their wallet - in their murse :D

So again, you go with whoever supports your argument, huh?

Apple reports units sold
Samsung reports units shipped
One company says apple won, another says Samsung won
Since i support Samsung, i believe second company
First company are liars and probably paid by Apple

That about sum up your thoughts on this?

We get it. You're proud to be part of the masses. Good for you.

Android phones are cheaper, but not necessarily better. That's subjective.

Name another Computer manufacturer that had its OWN retail store before Apple.

Gateway. Besides, Apple only opened the stores after it stopped being a computer company.

Jokes aside, the concept is almost half a Century old. Are you familiar with RadioShack (Tandy Corporation)? Here is quote from Wikipedia: "In 1977, two years after the famous MITS Altair, Radio Shack introduced the TRS-80, one of the first mass-produced personal computers that became a big hit. This was followed by the TRS-80 Color Computer designed to attach to a television for use as a monitor. In the late 1980s, Radio Shack made the transition from its proprietary 8-bit computers to its proprietary IBM-PC-compatible Tandy computers; however, shrinking margins and a lack of economies of scale led Radio Shack to exit the computer-manufacturing market by the mid-1990s."

So, the answer is - No. Apple did not invent the stores (or MP3 player, or mobile phone oa a tablet computer or multi-touch interface).

The copying never stops. Nor does the cheap plastic plastic casing. Well done, Samsung, well done for charging 500+ USD for a premium phone wrapped in some random plastic FisherPrice cover.

I am not sure that having 2x RAM, 2x storage, 2x CPU cores, 4G, NFC, HD resolution etc. is a subjective thing.

You're still on the defensive thing? Geez, must have struck a chord. Ok, I'm the defensive one, you're not...can we drop that now?

Now your statement. It is evolutionary, obviously. It's also apple making it popular and Samsung copying it. What's the issue here?

My problem is with people who want to say s voice is not inspired by siri and foolish things like "they're nothing alike, how many ways can you make a mic icon?"

Everyone copies. Why be in denial about that?

I don't copy...
