Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

I think anyone that ordered launch day will get a ship notice by the end of this week.

I'm not so confident. It's taken 16 days to get mine shipped and I ordered within an hour of the launch. You're talking about some people who ordered on the evening of the launch day.
 
I bet there were more people that ordered the first hour than the next 12 hours afterward.

Especially if I order now it would still ship in October.

Agreed. Some customers who ordered after the 20th are getting shipping confirmation emails. While those of us who ordered on launch day are still waiting for shipping confirmation. Seems that most of us that are still waiting ordered gold.

I agree. It seems like a vast majority of people here got their orders in very very early.

Which model did you order? I also ordered one today (32GB gold, unlocked). I'm assuming I won't see it at my doorstep until somewhere around the first week of November.
 
My 32GB Space Grey 5s that was ordered around 12:30am on the 20th was just delivered to my flat in Hong Kong (ordered from Apple.com HK).

Excited to get to test this thing out :D

It depends on model. There are people in other threads claiming to have ordered Oct. 3 and already received shipped confirmations.

I ordered a silver and a gold on Sept 24. Already received "shipped" email on the silver, but not the gold.

Well, I was scrolling through Instagram and came across this. Apparently there is some kind of delivery date here. Not sure where they ordered from. It's gold though. Ordered on the 20th.

What place did you order your silver from?
 
Mine was supposed to change to preparing for shipment last October 4 but since I had some billing problems that was just now corrected, my phone just changed to "preparing for shipment" just now. My fault though, nothing I can do about it.
 
My 'October' order has shipped as well

Ordered about 4.45am eastern time on the 20th, GOLD 64gb GSM unlocked (tmobile) with the faster shipping option, shipped on 6th due in on 8th, presently in China right now.

Yes and No

Order was done through my US Apple account for US delivery but order placed from abroad, but yes a US order nevertheless.

Day 17 - no change, processing
 
I ordered a 32GB unlocked space grey today, shipping is "October". I noticed that all iPhone %s variants are listed for october on the website. Is there constraint on the supplies on all models? It seems to be the same for all stores not just the US.
 
If it's any consolation to anyone, yesterday I called up Apple and complained bitterly. In an official complaint, I brought up all the frustrations/concerns we all share. The rep was extremely pleasant, and easy to talk to. He said that (while he can't, and won't and promise anything) we should see movement by week's end. The complaint will be forwarded to management, and he said that someone may want to contact me, regarding the complaint.

It doesn't make me feel anymore confident... but at least it's better than the crap they have been serving up previously.

P.S. I was able to get a complimentary case.
