Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

You've already been in line for so long, just keep strong. Nothing worse than turning your back on something, then having it turn around when you least expect it. Long story short... don't cave in. This is Apple's fault, not yours.:)

Thanks. I'd kick myself if I settled for something other than what I originally wanted, it's just that I start to doubt that "October" will be the actual date of shipment. It will come and go and that November will be the actual month of delivery. Just need some positive news.

You're welcome. Everyone needs to be talked off the ledge, every now and then. It's extremely disheartening, especially when their is no visible light at the end of the tunnel. It is what it is, but at least there is a 100% chance that we all will get one.

Le encantada (my store) has stockkk!!! I'm at work right now :( and having issues reserving it, obviously because I'm afraid to cancel my launch day online order on apple.com
Other stores were San Tan and chandler fashion square. I'm in Arizona

I haven't seen any of the issues with my week 39 silver iPhone people are complaining about:

1. The gyro is accurate.
2. Color is uniform across a white screen.
3. Device is perfectly flat – does not rock slightly on a flat surface.
4. No loose power button.
5. No scuffs.
6. No loose screen.

Either I got lucky or week 39 is an especially good batch.
 
I find it funny that they waived my expedited shipping fee worth $10. Still I'm not appease at all.

In less than 3 hours from now, it would be Day 18 of "Processing"
 
Ordered on 9.30 guess gonna wait till 10.30 :( probably will cancel the order eventually

Ah, I see. You're looking for a Verizon. I was about to feel put out, but I see no ATT (GSM) models to be available in AZ (using zip code = 85705).
Are CMDA phones that backed up at Apple online as well? Why are they so available in AZ? That's just weird. You're right, there seem to be a lot of them.

Hmm, for how long? A lone 64 GB Gold in the wild is not all that uncommon. Nor, apparently, is 16 GB Gold CDMA in AZ. The 16 GB GSM Gold seems to be the elusive one. It would really be interesting to see what official breakdown in capacity, color, and service is. After however many versions of the iPhone there were you'd think they'd produce the snot out of the highest demand SKU. It seems to me the demand for the Gold body in the NA and European market caught them by surprise this time. The capabilities aren't all that different. You think the long time iPhone users were keen to get something different after years of black and a few less years of white? I know that's what motivated me. But only in a 16 GB version. The extra GB of the 64 just aren't needed for my, and I expect most, users. But that is just IMO.

Thought I would start a thread for people who brought on launch day to see where the shipping is generally at. If you order on September 20th and just got your shipped e-mail from apple, please post below. The size, color, carrier and order time. Plus of corse the shipped date.


Example:

Iphone 5s 32GB Gold Verizon

Order at 1am ET

Shipped: Todays Date i.e. October 7th

You ordered on October 1st with an October ship date and they gave you two free cases? It has only been a week... That's awesome.

As previously posted, my 4.45am eastern time gsm unlocked (tmobile) gold 64gb (US order) left China on the 6th due in on 8th with expedited shipping. Phone currently just left Alaska.
 
Ugh why are there no AT&T ones from that timepoint shipping. I feel like it'll be next year whje I get my phone. I'm just so angry at this. :( this was my bday gift. Thank god I ordered clothes that will actually make here on time to replace the iPhone -.- maybe it can be my Xmas gift XD
 
ATT Gold 32GB ordered 9/24

Called the rep today to check up on things and she basically said she didn't know any concrete dates on my order, but she did say until my card has been charged that they haven't built my phone yet. I asked about the expedited shipping and she confirmed what some of you all were saying about it being rushed delivered once it hit UPS, so we at least have that going for us.

I just shudder to think how long it's gonna take for them to work their way up to the 24th when they're STILL working on orders from the 20th :/

Two more freaking hours and it'll be my 7AM EDT time slot. I hope they're not going like 1 week per hour. Otherwise, I would still have to wait for 2 weeks? :eek:

Anybody who ordered 5AM-6AM EDT on the 20th? What's the status of your order?

Status was changed to "Preparing for Shipment" at about 2:00pm Eastern Time.

Status was changed to "Shipped" on October 8th at about 2:00am Eastern Time (about 12 hours after "Preparing for Shipment").

I'll update once the UPS information will be available.
