Ordered Launch Date Sept 20th 11:22 email

Gold AT&T 32 GB

Still Processing -.-

I also ordered same model (gold 32gb AT&T) on Sept 20th, 7:41AM PST...
Still freakin' processing....

It's so frustrating to see other golds moving today and not ours....

I'm so sad because I already sold my Samsung Galaxy S3 at the end of September in anticipation of receiving my iPhone. I am currently using a very old phone that doesn't even have enough storage to keep text messages so my frustration level is very high. -_-"

Ive been using a dummy phone since beginning of September after selling my Iphone 5.

Same here, Chidoriko. Am using the galaxy S - ORIGINAL - and am not getting important text messages from professors and hospital connections.

Which gold model did you order?

I ordered the 16. No word yet. Maybe they hate Canadians? :(

Really? That sucks, there were a lot of 16s leaving China. :(

I wouldn't be surprised... golds have been in so rare supply up here, that online orders must be suffering as well.

Look on the bright side... there's always tomorrow. Although I've been telling myself that for 18 days now. :(

It really is frustrating specially since I really wanted to receive it before my birthday. I have a big feeling my phone will ship out on Friday though. I really hope I get a shipment confirmation soon my phone is done with me lol :'(

I hear you...I'm actually holding out hope that the next "batch" of gold phones to ship will be ours (this morning there was some good movement on those orders placed between 4AM-7AM PST on Sept 20th).

Here's hoping we get our notifications as soon as tomorrow!

Not to rain on anybody's parade here, but hear me out.

After seeing a mishmash of various orders (times) changing status today, Apple seems to be completing them in no particular order time-wise.

More likely, is that our orders are categorized by colour and storage size. Apple maybe rotates which storage size they will produce from from day to day. For all we know, the 16 GB we saw shipped today, could be the last for another 2 days. Tomorrow could be either 32s or 64s leaving China.

Just my two cents.

Just curious are there any 64 gb phones being shipped, i think i've only seen 16 and 32 gb being sent out recently.

I ordered a 64GB Gold on launch morning and of course, you guessed it, still processing. I haven't seen anyone's 64 "Gold" ship recently.

I hope that's the pattern they've gone with. I was beginning to worry about what they had going on over there, if anything. I think the reason we're seeing a lot of 16GB's roll out first is because of how many orders. Would like to know how many more16GB's were sold compared to 64GB. My guess is that we'll see 64's start moving out Friday.

If this forum is anything to go by, 64 is the least popular of the bunch. Only a handful of us have ordered a 64 GB of any colour. I have a hard time fathoming why it's taking so long for the 64s to leave. The gold model are the exact same on the outside, just with a larger storage chip.

You're making it sound as if Apple is disregarding the time of order. From the progression of same models, I think time is being held to. Getting mine tomorrow and I ordered 50 minutes into launch. That's about right. Of course some people got their grey ones way ahead of me. But, that's on Apple for not producing enough Golds.

Interesting theory. (I assume there are separate queues based on color and size... who knows about carrier.)

For what it's worth, someone who ordered a 32gb gold a minute before my order got theirs yesterday (shipped maybe a day or so before mine), while mine will (fingers crossed) arrive tomorrow. You could be right on manufacturing or at least shipping in waves. I've never been so curious about how Apple handles manufacturing of so many SKUs in my life.

About how long usually does it take from going "preparing for shipment" to "Shipped"?

Of course when the 1-3 group or 7-10 group ordered, time was made a factor. Based upon the feedback given today on this forum, most people who ordered a 16 gold saw something change. Not everyone did, however.

It seems like now, especially because of the "October" date, they can ignore order times and focus on batch shipping. Some who ordered after launch day, got a preparing message.

Again, everything that happened today could have been pure coincidence. Only Apple knows.
