Yeah it probably depends. It took 2 days for mine to change, but it was 'preparing for shipment' on Friday, status changed to shipped roughly 2 days later, though I don't know if the weekend was a factor in that.

Well, I ordered Gold iphone 5s 32GB t mobile unlocked from apple.com on 22nd..
I even got free case and free expedited shipping.. However this is now getting out of hands.. Apple plans on launching iphone 5s in second wave countries on the 25th and then 25 more countries on nov 1st.. Why are they launching there when they don't have stock to deliver us?? It's just stupid..
Another thing I noticed as a few people here said; they just shipped gold 16GB regardless of time of order (some ordered on 20th and some on 24th) and they got their phones shipped, so I'm hoping that next batch is for 32GB which (I hope) ships by tomorrow or after tomorrow. Then after this would be the 64GB However if that does not happen then apple is just screwing us up!

Oh wow. So Foxconn really is working around the clock. That would mean that they were preparing your order around midnight or so.

Yeah I ordered via phone (had to cancel a silver order) at a little after 7pm. I had the confirmation email in my inbox by the time I hung up the phone (again this was on launch day, 9/20).

I ordered my iphone 5s gold 32g at 9.30am from the UK website. Should have done my homework as I thought orders started at 8am but thats another story.
Any way my order status has been stuck on October and has not moved from processing. I would be interested to hear from anyone who ordered from Apple UK store at around the same time as me to see what stage they are at.
This waiting game is getting me down now.

I ordered my 16gb silver Sprint iPhone 5s on release day at 7:34 MDT. It was originally scheduled to ship within 7-10 days, with arrival between October 8th-11th. I got an email on Saturday stating that my order was delayed, but should ship within 1-3 days for arrival between October 15th-17th. Now here's the irritating part: the same exact phone that I ordered has been in stock at my local Apple store since last Friday. I called to try to change my phone for in store pickup instead, but they can't change or cancel my order since it is in "Preparing to Ship" mode. (It's been in that mode for a week now.) Given that today is the 3rd business day that my phone was supposed to ship by, I'm guessing I'll get another email tomorrow stating that it's been delayed again.

Go to ups.com full site, choose tracking, tracking by reference nunber, enter the nunber of your order (w4.....) without the last 2 digits, your zip code and a date range.
If the order number doesn't work, try your billing phone number instead (digits only).
I hope it will work for you, even though I doubt it, since by the time the UPS site has your info, you will already have the email from Apple (usually it takes time for the UPS site ti show the detaiks, even after having the tracking number).

Honestly, I'm just glad that I have an order, and that a phone will come eventually.
Has the last 18 days been stressful? Yes. Have I lost my temper a lot? Yes. But when I actually think about it, I don't think I could take it if I had to be going store to store everyday. That would be even more stressful, than now.

When it really boils down to it, none of this really matters. It's a phone. Yeah I want it, but not as bad as some people in the world want food. Have to keep that in mind. It's just a phone.
It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea.
A phone is a phone, but it should not be taking this long to ship. I think that we all are more than 70% across the desert folks. I don't think that launch weekend orders will take another 18 days. Just have to remain positive and enjoy the time remaining with one another. Once our phones arrive, we will be too busy to bicker about Apple anymore.
I'm just glad that I don't have to go store to store on a regular basis to secure one. I already have my order, and being so lucky, is only gravy.
We have already waited almost 3 weeks, and the wait will come to an end soon.

Does anybody know how the batches are organized and grouped? Are they grouped by order day, week, or what? Specifically, if I ordered the gold 16GB ATT on Sept 30, which batch an I in?

I've been closely watching my order (16GB, Gold, Sprint) since I ordered on 9/20 at 4:24 am ET and received the October ship date. Now at day 20 12:25 pm ET the money was withdrawn from my account and at 3:15 pm ET my phone has finally moved from processing to preparing for shipment. Even though my order is in prep mode I still can't believe it took this long and god knows how long it will take for it to be in my hands.
