WTF is wrong w apple. I've never had this much trouble getting an iPhone. Had one since the very first one came out.

My love affair w apple iPhone is over :/ going to think about canceling and getting the note 3 and just waiting for the new iPads. They won't be as badly prepared as this damn gold phone. What a mess. :mad:

(Not mad at original poster whose order is shipping but apple)
 
My friend told me they are going to start pre-order in Taiwan 10/14/13. It go on-sale there 10/25/13. Looks like some people in second wave release will get their before our launch day order!!!! WTH!

I'm in the exact same boat (32gb gold AT&T, ordered 7:41am PST on 9/20)....order changed this morning to "Ships Oct 24-28, Delivery Nov 1st by 2-3 business days"....

I called Apple and she confirmed what others have said: "Nov 1st is the latest date your phone will arrive...it will likely be sooner." She also said that she could not change my shipping to Next Day shipping because it's coming from overseas so it doesn't get any faster than 2-3 business days. Finally, and I'm not sure I believe this one, she said that since the pending charge showed up on my CC then the phone must ship within 5 business days, otherwise the pending charge has to come off the card which adds another level of complexity/issues. Here's hoping that the phone actually ships next week, especially since people ordering yesterday are getting these same delivery estimates.

Simply unbelievable that it takes over a month to ship orders placed on the morning of launch....:(

High demand for the Gold 32gb and a slow process to make the gold phones is going to be long waits.

At this rate, the availability of the might not ease up until December.
 
This is odd?

:confused: I find it amusing that yesterday Apple cuts prodution of the iPhone 5c in half and today everyone with an October shipdate has and Actually shipdate. They should have done this 2 weeks ago! I still have a 4 which doen't have siri, Panaramic pictures, turn by turn talking directions (i have ab app but its not the same) and so many other features I would love to be using now.

But I also called to complain yesterday and they offered me a free docking station... I like FREE She also gave me a heads up on a few others things so it may be worth people making the call... it may put a fire under Apples A$$ to speed things along.
 
I checked online today and this was updated to show me estimated shipping and delivery. I'm happy :)

Slow process? You'd think they would've figured out how to speed things up a bit after 3 weeks of launch and high demand....
And with respect to the 32gb size...it's hard to believe that making a gold 16gb takes less time than making a gold 32gb....it's just the internals that are different.

Be glad you ordered the 16gb gold version...it seems like those have the best supply situation of all the golds (based on in-store pickup availability today).
 
Yeah. Considering I ordered mine 2 weeks after launch I can wait for these 3 weeks. Just happy finally got an estimate.

You would think. Maybe they made more 16gb size thinking it would sale more.
 
Remember guys. It still says 'Available to ship by'
Meaning Apple got fed up with people asking when their phones will arrive, so they just added a date to satisfy people. I'm almost positive that it will get here before then.
 
A little update, don't know if this helps or mean much, but I just called Apple, just casually asking the rep about my order, and if the time listed is just an estimate, or if it's concrete. She said that it's an estimate, and it might ship sooner. Then I just asked her that my order shows Standard Shipping, and how many days it takes to ship for standard, and she just bumped me up to 2-3 days shipping without me even having to ask for it, which is nice. So now instead of delivered by Nov.4, it changed to Nov.1.

So I just checked my CC statement and I now see a pending charge of about $105. Could that be the charge for AppleCare? Anyone saw separate charges for the iPhone and AppleCare? :confused:
 
Just noticed on apple.com that the estimated shipping for all phone models except T-Mobile are no longer October, but it is now saying 2-3 weeks.
 
So it was heartbreaking to see my status change to what it did today after waiting about a whole month already. I called apple again and talked to one of the sweetest customer care people. She identified with me because she said she too wanted a new phone iPhone 5S in space grey but that apple won't let the employees purchase phones until it is completely released everywhere and there is plenty of stock for everyone. :( so she has to wait even longer than us. She then offered me another relief gift through apple. And I decided to pick a pair of headphones to go with my new phone and they are on my shipping statement. This should ride me over until my Goldie arrives. :(

My local apple store has had a 64gb Gold UNLOCKED iPhone in stock for the last hour or two. Mind boggling. (Where was that iPhone on launch day when they didn't get any in stock?) I feel this urge to buy it.

Noticed that as well just now. Kind of refreshing after that ambiguous "October" estimate.
 
Online Apple stored just updated delivery times for new purchases for 2-3 weeks. Looks like their catching up on orders!
