Normal* vs Normal. Trust me, exports out of the country will not be until Monday. Local deliveries probably fall under Normal*.
So "normal" is also stated for Monday. So according to what you have just said, Monday is a no go either. Give me a break. Sheesh! lol
It would be Tuesday according to you.
Yes Tuesday. Like I said, I'm in the import business and I have a shipment expected to leave Monday...which is their Tues. so that's why I have Mon on my mind. But you are correct, no go till Normal Tues
This sucks.Yes I will not shrivel up and die. Excited for the phone to get here that's all.
I just don't want peoples expectations to be sooner and then get even more disappointed when it gets delayed. If it's any consolation, after having the 5s since launch...I can't wait for the iPhone 6.
All I can say at this moment is so be it. If normal exporting activity resumes Tuesday (North America time), my phone better be on it. If the factory is open, I sure hope they're stockpiling at the moment. When I mean stockpiling... hopefully they're fulfilling online orders, and not just only enough to restock AT&T or Verizon.
I'm giving my order until Oct 11th to change status before canceling. I currently have the iPhone 5 and waiting on the 5s 32gb Gold Verizon. The "wanting" of the 5s Gold is slowly changing to do I really "needed" it. Any later than the 11th might as well give up and start gearing up for the holiday season and new tech coming out that I want. As an iOS dev I currently do not have any M7 apps and I can test and build 64bit apps via xcode.
hopefully some change happens, i did order on the morning of launch day at around 8:20am EST

Was 7th in line at my local apple store on launch day. They had zero gold 32 or 64gb iPhones in the unlocked variety (and maybe just a few for VZ / AT&T). I walked away with a space gray 64gb. For me, however, it's gone the opposite direction. I've gone from "gotta have an iPhone 5S" to "I can wait however long for the color I really wanted." It is just a phone and I'll be just fine with my current device (HTC One). I think the proliferation of space grays that I've seen around has helped change my phone
I'll be returning my as-yet unopened iPhone 5S in the next few days.

Great example of why Apple (or any other company with an already popular product) does not intentionally short produce first runs for publicity. Apple's lack of product availability actually costs sales rather than create new ones as customers that ordered on impulse start to reconsider before shipment occurs.
Anyone else order on the 20th with an October ship month (no date)? Any change to your order status or a date added?
I order the Gold 32gb Verizon on the 20th and its in Processing. I hope things will change next week sometime. My local verizon store said the backorder is well into November and no telling when in-store stock will arrive.
There's a whole thread here of people who have the october ship date with no changes in status:

I ordered a gold 16gb sprint late in the day on the 20th and that's where I'm at. Debating canceling it and getting a Silver since there are a lot available in stores around me.
those people are lucky enough to have a shipping date we have nothing but a month. We'll see what happens by the end of next week, can only hope for the best but with Apple shipping to new smaller carries started on Oct 1 (Virgin Mobile for example) ... the delay will just increase.
I was 9th in line at my store, I was almost certain that I would get a Gold. My thinking was Apple would at least give 10-20 phones in each color variation and sizes to retail stores and carriers. boy was I wrongI honestly did not want to settle on another color other than Gold. For $749 plus tax I want to be happy with the choice and not an alternate.
I'm starting to feel the same way you are, I'm happy with the 5 its flawless. Although I would love the 5s Gold, i'm spending too much time searching for it and wondering when it will come. That time can be spent on work; apps and project development
Exactly. I thought surely they would have a single device in the configuration I wanted, and no one ahead of me wanted unlocked. Ether apple severely underestimated how popular gold would be or there is some challenge making them still.
Anyhow, yeah. I hesitated in ordering one as plan b -- so I just missed the 7-10 day crowd by a few minutes. So here I wait![]()
