I just wanted to say good luck to all of you waiting for your gold phones. If you ordered a gold 32gb AT&T version, then there is one less person ahead of you in line.
I finally managed to find and reserve the exact model I'm looking for yesterday for in-store pickup near me (1st I had seen in weeks). It took quite a bit of "musical buying/returning/re-upgrading/activating" but I finally got it all sorted out.
I'm sure I would have survived waiting another week or two, but I'm glad the wait is finally over for me. I truly do wish all of your phones will ship (or arrive at your homes for those of you dealing with UPS incompetence) this week.

Maybe... but I really don't see the point of moving them now. Unless of course they plan on delivering them later today... they could just have found a spot on the plane tomorrow.

I called and they moved me up to expedited shipping, which makes little difference. They offered to credit me $40 for my case, I failed to really understand the point of this, is this essentially offering a free case for me in addition to the one I ordered?

They offered to pay for your current case. This is essentially the same as giving you a new case (assuming that you go in and buy another one yourself).

It might have arrived a little too late to go to Incheon, today. Usually it leaves around 4:30-5:30 pm China time (according to time stamps), and arrives in Incheon around 7:40 pm same evening. From there, it will depend on if it can get a spot on the plane to Anchorage.
And how can some people have orders that are "preparing for shipment" for 2 weeks ? Does it take that long to put a phone in a box and slap a label on it ?
