Has anyone that received the email from Apple with a ship date of 24-28th, actually ship before the date? Been checking a few times a day to see if it will ship before the predicted date, since we all somewhat agreed those were "safety" dates. I'm beginning to think those are realistic dates. The phone I ordered on the 20th is still processing.

I got that same letter but when log into my acct status, it's been showing available to ship on the 18th with a delivery date of the 25th. I don't know what to believe. My order has been preparing for shipment for over 24 hours, the authorization on my credit card has dropped off.

Your guess is as good as mine when we'll get our phones. I'm starting to regret this whole thing. Should have waited for the IP6. Ordered on 9/20 early.

Maybe we were on two different trucks... but regardless, yours got the inside track on mine! ;):)

I didn't arrive into Mount Hope until 4:22 am.

----------

I never thought I'd see this day come... my phone has finally set foot on Canadian soil. :') :D

Ya I I don't trust them now through. If they go to another province instead of to Toronto (like they did with the other person's phone), I'm going to seriously freak.

Yup i got that email, and still shows still processing.

"iPhone 5s 32GB Gold
Available to ship: October 24-28
Delivers: 31/10/2013 by Standard Shipping"

Did you ordered the golden iphone?

Well... I guess we shall see then. Start compiling a list of choice words and colourful language, for UPS.;) :D

Considering we still seem to be stuck in Hamilton, I'm doing just that! :p

Based upon that other person's tracking, they never received an official arrival scan. The first scan was trouble, and it snowballed from there.

Given that we've been held up at Hamilton for 3+ hours now, doesn't inspire much confidence. But at least we have an official arrival scan.

*sigh* We might be in for a long day...

Yeah our phones are only about an hour away and yet they haven't moved for hours. They could easily have gotten them here. I think the earliest we will get them is tomorrow.

Have you had any prior shipments from UPS? Do you know where your designated delivery depot is?

Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Not where I live now, no.

I've tried to avoid UPS as much as possible over the years.

Hmm... the Mount Hope depot might be the central GTA depot. If you were to live in the west end, it might just come straight out of there. For me, I live on the east end. I know for sure that it must go to Concord, first.

If it were to just go straight to my home from Mount Hope, that would be a pleasant surprise.

I don't live in the west end, I live downtown.

I suppose you never know...

I just got a departure scan... probably to go back to Buffalo, or to New Brunswick!:D:D

Folks
Since I am between iPhones now (waiting shipment of Gold 16gb, 24-28 Oct), I have been coming back to this forum for only one thing:

To follow the continuing saga/adventure/novel/thriller of Michael887 and Solitude1984's iPhones' journey!!:D

I will be very sad when they receive theirs and their story ends (kidding, don't kill me!:))

[Or, maybe they can continue their story: "how our two iphones finally met!" or something similar.]

In all honesty, guys, please "enjoy" your final waiting and anticipation hours. Hope your iPhones come home today, that you be there to receive them, and that you enjoy them very much. I have feel your pain with you, I am very happy for you that (hopefully) today's the day.

I think I speak for both of us, when I say that this has been nothing short of an emotional roller coaster. The lack of UPS scans, missed flights, missed trucks, all of this has been way too stressful. It was bad enough, that it took three weeks to get the damn phone out the factory. Then UPS has to make an adventure out of it! Every time there was a deviation (to what is assumed to be the standard route), it was like getting your heart ripped out.

As it stands now, we still don't know what will happen next. It could be a clean trip to the depot responsible for delivery, or we could suffer more setbacks. I hope it's the former and not the latter. Even with a clean trip, it might be a little late to have it delivered today. Unless of course, the drivers make a second pass to the facility.

I just want this whole ordeal to be over with. I can't believe the journey we have been though, just to get a damn phone! :)

Holy hell!!!!

We just might have a clean delivery! Until some arsonist probably burns down the Concord depot...:D

Ya I totally agree with you. Honestly I found this whole deal with UPS worse than waiting for Apple to make the phone. Mainly because I was always scared that something would happen to it or it would get lost or stolen. I really hope this is the end of our phone's journey.

LMAO!!! Yep or someone breaks in and steals our phones. :p

I ordered my 64 Gold 5s via ATT on 9/20 around 9 pm and it was scheduled to arrive around 10/21-10/28.

I started getting notices from ATT's web site last week, and it was delivered via FedEx on 10/11. naturally I was happy to get it.

I wonder why mine was delivered via FedEx and not UPS, not that I'm complaining.

I ordered the same phone for AT&T via Apples website at 7:50AM EST 9/20 and my order is still processing.

When you order directly from AT&T, it must come directly from their own personal domestic stockpile. Was the point of origin for the shipment, already within the US?

UPS handles pretty much anything (Apple related) out of China. Apple and UPS must have a specific agreement. When you order directly through Apple (especially now, when stock is non-existent) it comes directly from China.
