Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Sorry for any confusion, but no... I ordered from Apple HK website, but it still sends from China like the rest of them.

Since orders opened online in Hong Kong, all 5S models were quoted with an "October" shipping date. It has only just now switched to Preparing for Shipment.

Oh okay..that's good news. Unfortunately for me, it's still stuck on "Processing". >.<
 
32gb gold , today changed to preparing for dispatch - Ordered 20th september @ 7:54am (UK)

No further update on the ship date, though. Still says October, but now the order status changed. I would take my best guess that it'll ship Monday and arrive a day or two later. All Apple orders here ship via DHL -- at least that was the case with my iPad 4 and the iPad Mini last year.

I guess there is a remote chance of shipping tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.

Ordered 20th round 2am 5s 32g gold from apple.com hong kong.
Got the confirmation email 23rd. Till now no update.
Already got my dock and case :(

I have to still buy my case. Forgot to add it to the basket when I was checking out. Will probably go to either IFC or CWB to pick it up sometime this week. Thought about getting the dock also, but I don't think I would really use it. I had the dock with the original iPhone and rarely used it.

I got my confirmation email the same day, roughly 30 minutes or so after I ordered. Granted I did order a few minutes after the online system was turned on.
 
Anyone from the US ordered around 7AM EDT on the 20th? I got my confirmation email instantly with the Order Number after I placed the order though.

My order would have been at 3:31am EDT on the 20th. Still processing. So far the status changes in this group have been China and UK, no?

Confirmation email received at 7:15am EST for Gold 16GB Verizon iPhone 5s.

Still waiting for any progress.

Just a wild guess, but our group will likely ship a week after yours.

I would expect to see movement on your phone by 10/7 and ours around 10/14.

I ordered that exact model 4 days later. I probably have a 3 month wait time lol.

No one has any way of knowing. They could be gearing up to ship out an entire day's worth of orders coming up here in another week.
 
I intentionally ordered around 7PM EST on the 20th, because I didn't want to be part of the 'mad rush' insanity. Every previous launch has had some initial production issues (scuffs on the 5, at&t activation servers crashing on the 4, etc), so it was only logical to assume something would happen this time (motion sensor).

Hoping that the motion sensor issues are resolved before mine is produced, and that we are closer to a jailbreak at that point.

I can wait, and I'd prefer to have an uneventful upgrade. I'm honestly not excited about losing the Jailbreak from my 4s, but I do also slightly want an upgrade.

In any event, saying that orders that were placed on the 21st wont ship until november because apple is only up to "the first 10 minutes" or whatever is illogical. Probably 40% of the 'launch weekend' orders happened in the first 10 minutes. I'd bet that most of the First 24-hour people who were not in the first 4 hours will ship all on the same day. I would be very surprised if mine doesn't get shipped before the 15th.

If the backorder was that serious, apple would not be listing "October" for orders placed *today*.

Someone in another thread who ordered 16GB gold at 3:07AM EST just got their shipping confirmation so we're getting there!

It's supposed to arrive on Monday.
 
Ordered 16gb gold on 20th September @ 12:42pm uk time, still processing, think it will take at least another week to change, if not then ill cancel.

Not sure why you'd cancel if you've waited that long honestly.
 
Wow, you guys certainly are quick. I didn't place my order until 2 days ago..

Wondering if I would get mine by the end of this month... Hopefully I will get it sooner..
