Any 44 mm SB SS watches with next Friday delivery? I ordered at like 3:04a and got the 28-2nd window which isn't a big deal. Just curious if any had the 9/21 date.
Mine is launch day delivery in Canada, I think I ordered at 3:04am.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but if anybody’s ever done the Apple buyback thing when upgrading, did you have to send the original band back with the watch? Or just the watch itself? I ordered 2 Series 4s last night for my boyfriend and I and selected the option to trade in both of our existing watches. Hoping I don’t have to give up my orange/anthracite woven nylon to do so!

I have a Series 4 pre-ordered to pick up in store but was wondering if they'd let me trade in my old Apple Watch toward the cost when I go to pick it up or will the Credit Card be charged before.

I had a support chat w/ Apple about the same question. I was told that they could do it in the store at the time of pickup. The one issue could be how quickly the store can review your watch, or phone in my case, to issue the gift card. They told me to reach out to the store to confirm. This process could be instant, or take a couple of hours. Either way, they'll do it, but you may need to hang out for a bit.

Just cancelled my order from the Apple Store app which said Oct 12 - 19, and ordered from Best Buy which has it ready for pickup at my local store on launch day on Sept 21st. Awesome!

You do not need to send back the band or any accessories. It's just the watch itself. Great perk.

When I asked in a thread this morning, I was told just the Watch, not band or charging disk:

What the crap?! I wasn't able to select in store pickup for mine. About 75% of the models are showing "only available for shipping".

I ordered 20 mins after they went live, 44mm space gray Aluminum with black sports band and got a oct 5-12 delivery date. Wtf!? I see people ordered after me that got a sep 21 delivery date on the same watch.

I'm guessing they pre-allocate a certain amount of supply to each region of the world, and when you order, it bases shipping estimates on what they have allocated for your area. Or something like that. Adjustments may be made in the week after preorders are placed based on actual demand vs supply.

I think they also set up a queue to limit access to the Apple Store during the first half hour or so of preorders, to avoid overwhelming the site. Seems like this is done randomly based on IP address or region or something like that. I couldn't get into the store last night for about five minutes on any of my devices. For the heck of it, I flipped on VPN on my iPad to connect to my office network, and then tried again and got right in (turning on VPN would change my IP address to a business IP).

This is all assumption on my part but is based on my experience preordering Apple products annually since 2007.

Well..... I was quite excited that I secured a launch day SS S4 and paid via apple pay and then went to sleep. I woke up this morning and realized I paid with the wrong credit card :-/ The order is currently in processing but once it hits the next step its going to hit the card for payment and there will not be sufficient funds in it. I've attempted to call apple but the automated guy says the lines are to busy. I've tried chat but they cant help either.

Does anyone know of another way to change the method of payment without loosing my spot in line?

Thanks.

I did the same thing unfortunately. Called Apple and they swapped the payment info me and advised it will not impact orig shipping time frame.

I ordered two watches, both are 21st. Sep delivery, but this morning I was only charged for one of them (full amount). Kinda weird.

The store has always moved quickly with my watch turn ins. They just record the serial number and check it quickly.

I have had a bad experience using the Apple trade in for credit by mail program. I sent in my last iPad and never heard back about my gift card or credit even after many phone calls and complaints.

Either way, I ordered my new watch and have a delivery window into October... not too bummed as my phone should at least beat it here.

If you arrange to pick up in store, do you need to bring the bank card you bought the watch with on the Apple store app or can I just bring my phone to prove it’s me??
