Those are kinda wicked.
My vans are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own.
I refuse to ever toss them out. xD

I suppose I should take my OT maundering out of this thread. lol
It's not like the thread was going much further anyway. Talking about shoes and see you get hit on over a forum is much more fun. :p
I do believe we three also claimed the Pic with Significant Other thread. hehehe

Straight, but more gay/lesbian friends then most, I suppose. I've always been more of a "who the hell cares" kind of person, never gave one's sexual predilections much thought or concern. Never offended, sometimes flattered, never interested nor even curious, really.

I like MR for the reason that "most" of us are able to discuss relationships & experiences pretty openly (with some fairly collegial teasing/bantering), and nobody--for the most part--is threatened by another POV or preference. If they are, they're generally good enough to just keep it to themselves.

Ha, 'tis pretty entertaining indeed. xD
Serious, meaningful discussions are completely overrated.
I'm gonna make a chat room on AIM for the three of you. How's that sound?:p:D
Exciting.

*dies*

:p

I'm amazed to see that MR has such a strong and well represented gay community. :)

I suppose it's the clean aesthetics and sexiness of Macs that makes the difference. :p

I must be straight. I'm sitting at the uni library right now, and I can't stop staring at all the hot girls here. It's crazy. I'm crazy. I'm crazy horny. I don't know what I am. Is the library usually this full of hot girls?

pics or it didn't happen.

(the weather is getting nicer, and all of the breasts are emerging from their winter hibernation to emerge back out into the open spring air. While riding my bike home today, I almost crashed three times. Do you ever have that moment when you see someone whose looks force you to lock on, even for a moment? Don't do it in traffic.

...oh, and so I don't seem like a total hoser, my wife is very hot, and I lurv it when she wears sun dresses, which are coming into season soon!).

Straight and recently single.

I do get mistaken as gay, however, as I tend to:

(a) Take care of my grooming/personal hygiene rather noticeably (eg. copious amounts of hair-product in bathroom)
(b) Dress rather fashionably
(c) I am a slight-build with a "pretty" face.
(d) Very interested in design, and my home is neat, modern and reflects a large amount of effort and money spent on aesthetics.

I realize the above are stereotypes - but I guess people still subscribe to them...

Same here (well, I don't use that many hair products), but I find it amusing when people try and guess my orientation or tell other people I'm gay. Though there are times when it is frustrating...

Im Gay, I've known it for at least 10 years now, but just came out in Sep. at least to my Friends. It felt sooo good to finally tell somebody. Holding it in for sooo long was killing me. Of corse it helped that 2 of my friends are also Gay. Haven't told the Family yet. My Mother passed away in 05, before I could tell her (I suspect she knows now where ever she is), and my Father left when I was born. But I still have to tell the rest of the Family. I think they should take it well, but I just don't want to tell them for some reason.

Im single, I haven't dated anyone yet, mainly because It took me sooo long to finally accept who I am, and even now I don't have an immediate desire to start dating. Im sure I'll start looking at some point :)

Your friends probably knew you were gay, right? How could they not know?

You're overcompensating abstract ;).

The hell I am. Any straight guy who sees a LOT of hot university girls walking by every minute and doesn't get the teeniest bit excited probably has some sort of hormonal imbalance. I think my reaction is just right for the situation. ;)

Well I think my best friend who I've known for 16 years probably knew, especially since he was too, but Im not sure about the rest. When I say friends I mean like 5 people. :) I really don't have too many people I consider true friends.

whats worse is when it happens at the swimming pool..........

btw im straight all the way

Straight, and in love with a beautiful girl :)

But at a certain point of my life my father and grandparents thought I was gay, and I did nothing to make them believe the opposite!
Just loved to see them uncomfortable :p

To be fair, though, the Catholic environment could be thought of as so stifling (although I don't really see it as stifling here, but actually quite open), that the reactions against it are that much stronger.
The former pastor at my church came out in front of the entire congregation. He got a standing ovation at one mass. Of course I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, so go figure. ;)

As for me, I'm more or less asexual. I've never exactly been sexually attracted to men or women. I can judge beauty to some extent on both sides, and as far as relationships go, I prefer women, but the sexual component is completely missing. Always has been. It's lead to plenty of confusion, as you might imagine.

Congrats! That's so cool! :)

When I'm ready to have kids, I might want that or adoption, but it's nice to know that the option is out there and waiting for me and anyone else who wants it.

Thanks. Many from here actually go to California to work with a surrogate - you live in the right place, it will just cost you about the same as 50ish 24inch iMacs. :(

This does remind me of the GayWay disaster.

What was the reason for that, anyway? Anyone remember?
