Absolutely possible but no way to tell and no way to find out until it hits a truck in your market. Where is yours coming to?
Mine left Alaska around 4pm Alaska time but it took a while to post on Fedex tracking.

I live about 30 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. I'd like to get it tomorrow because I'm leaving in the evening for holiday celebrations.

You can go to www.flight aware.com to see which flights are headed to the hub closest to you Indy (my guess) or Memphis. Next check the flights from your hub Indy or Memphis to Pittsburg to see how the times work. My best guess is if you get out of Alaska you have a good shot. Best of luck. Go Steelers.

I don't think FedEx delivers items that require a signature on weekends. Not unless you have a delivery date for Saturday. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah. It left Anchorage at 2:44pm local time so that's good. As for FedEx delivering on Saturdays, I think they will deliver to residential areas but not businesses. If it doesn't come tomorrow than it's not a big deal. I've waited this long. It's exciting knowing that this thing is within my reach now.

Yea that would make sense.
For those expecting their iP4 on the FexEx flight from Anchorage to Memphis (released @ 1452 today), here is the URL for flight tracking purposes.

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX14

looks like it will get here around midnight. I live about three hours east of Memphis so it might get here tomorrow. I'm not getting my hopes up that much because my expected delivery date is July 8th...

Two general questions...

Mine shipped, buy did anyone with a "Ships by July 2" not get a shipping notice today. I know there were several who had their status changed from Prepared.... to Shipped... overnight.

Also, while mine is showing reasonable updates on Fedex, is there a pattern or standard to the shipping delays from Hong Kong to Alaska and the change from "arrived in Alaska to its release from customs?

Anyone who's shipment was released at 2:51PM today, I'm speculating that it's on this flight to NEWARK, NJ:

http://www.flightstats.com/go/Fligh...?&id=196741816&airlineCode=FX&flightNumber=48

Well my phone arrived in Anchorage July 1st and then nothing. Not a single update for more than 24 hours. I live in NYC so Newark is where I guess it would go from Memphis (whenever I get out of Anchorage). I don't think fedex delivers Saturdays with standard shipping so if I am lucky I will get it Tuesday.

My TNT tracking page is giving me this which looks good

02 Jul 2010 20:42:20 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
01 Jul 2010 09:05:47 Hong Kong Shipment In Transit.
01 Jul 2010 09:00:30 Hong Kong Shipment Received At Transit Point.
01 Jul 2010 06:29:00 Shenzhen Shipment In Transit.
01 Jul 2010 03:40:01 Shenzhen Shipment In Transit.
01 Jul 2010 01:02:06 Shenzhen Shipment Collected From Sender.

But when I check the status on the apple site it says this

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 05 Jul 2010 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed 03 Jul 2010
Signed by

I thought everything was going well but Im starting to get a little worried now. Anyone else in the same position??

My status in Apple's site says: In transit to destination country - next updates expected in 4-5 business days

I was worried that something is wrong and the phone wont make it on Monday which is the delivery day. I rang TNT and they confirm me that the item is on the airplane and is confirmed that it will be delivered on Monday.

Brilliant. :)

Have you checked your TNT tracking page and if so what does it say??

Tracking says Shipment In Transit.

I married the times of the status update with the runway/departure time of aircraft leaving HK.

Just phoned TNT to find out why apple were reporting 'Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed'

Panics over and the iphone is still on schedule to be delivered on Monday.

I havent a clue what Apple are going on about. If they cant report tracking correctly then they shouldn't be doing it at all

hmm true :apple:

Man, stupid weekend and July 4th/5th holiday! Mine just got to Newark, NJ...I'm sure I'd be getting it today if this weren't a Saturday, but now gotta wait until Tuesday cause of the long weekend!

Heh...eh, I guess I've waited a long time already for this stupid PRE-ORDER that I made on the FIRST day of pre-ordering availability on my first chance to actually get through the system.

My credit card has been fully charged and AT&T has already reupped my contracts...I'm ready for this thing! :)

yeh sounds reasonable, I got:
03 Jul 2010 09:12:53 Hong Kong Shipment In Transit.

could be interpreted as the departure time of the above flight. But I assume those are passenger carrier flights? some companies have their own parcel only planes (UPS for sure) and those may not be listed on that site.

I am going to assume it will be on my desk in the office on monday. sim-free phones still need to be activated in i-tunes right? I only have a jailbroken 1st gen iphone (yes major upgrade for me :)) so no idea what the deal is these days.

anyways, it's weekend now and the weather is beautiful. enjoy ppl.
