Can’t say the same for my iPhone X. It’s buggy, brash, and the FaceID tech is annoying at best. I will definitely go SE2 should it be released.

ugh, why would anyone buy that thing but if they HAVE to, why can't they at LEAST make it the form factor of the 6 series. What's the point in keeping with that 5 series?!

Different tastes. A lot of people think smaller and lighter is better, and perhaps even worth paying more for. I pick up my X after using a 5s, and it feels like I've picked up a brick.

it‘s kind of sad that the rumored new SE will only get a last gen CPU. one thing that made the SE so great was the at the time current gen cpu in a smaller form factor.

my ideal phone would be something the size of the se, possibly with a bigger display (maybe oled if it helps the battery), water resistant, no camera bump and current gen SOC and camera.

personally i think the current se-design is prettier than the 8 or X and I much prefer the smaller form factor (even as i got big enough hands to use an x obn-handed). even if i was gifted a X i would sell it for a smaller phone.

Agreed. The form factor is perfect the way it is.
I don't know about "perfect," although I'm a fan- had a 4s, went to 6, and then went to an SE because it always felt like the 6 was trying to flip out of my hand. I'm still holding out hope that they take an iPhone X and just chop off 1.5" from the top. This would result in about a 4.2" display with even better one-handed usability than the SE as it would lack the "chin" and "forehead" of classic iPhones- but you'd gain the easier-to-type-on wider keyboard of these newer ginormous iPhones. The amount of icons on the home grid of apps would remain the same as the SE, but they'd be a little larger and more luxuriously spaced. If they had to axe the headphone jack for a wee lil' edge-to-edge marvel like I've outlined here, I'd be all about it.

Agreed! AirPods should have been $99 MAX! I don't understand why people get on with the current price! Also, it's been 1.5 years they're out, right? Isn't a price markdown overdue??

Lol why complain about the price? buy it or dont. I bought 3 pairs already and I will buy more for people. I personally will pay any price for something I want. I would love an iPhone se with screen like iPhone X. I do not want a larger phone, and will actually pay the same price as the phone X for an iPhone SE" sized X.

Its just worth it. I know others agree with me, I paid for 12 inch rmb when it was exact same price as the MacBook Pro on sale next to it. Just dont like the large machines or phones, dont care about the specs or horsepower. (I just facebook and macrumor and pandora) so why would I care about 3D Touch and such?

You mean discreet?

It's a phone...not a car. You can be discreet with an iPhone X too.

And the Camry is about as boring as it gets.

For me, the iPhone is a tool. Boring is just fine.

I prefer the rectangle design of iPhone 4 - 5S / SE, it’s such a classic Apple look. The new razor thin and tapered edges on the sides and corners of the iPhone 6S - now, look so much like the competition.

I want them to go back to this look. We’ll get more battery space and it be will so much easier to pick up.

That being said, Apple needs to make up their mind. You can’t have multiple versions of a product in an already oversaturated market. Apple is making the same mistakes of the 80s and 90s. Didn’t Steve, when he took over, drastically slim down their lineup? And it saved the company. Tim really doesn’t have a clue.

The most successful CEO in the world. yeah, no clue. sigh.

I would pay $1,000 for a bezeless 4” iPhone with the same internals (A11, FaceID) and an OLED screen as iPhone X. I understand the same rear camera can’t be accomplished but I’m fine with that, it can remain as is. I want a 4” form factor that isn’t an internally gimped down budget version.

I use my phone one handed 80% of the time. I loved the size of a 5/5c/5s/SE.

Changing the casing size, likely makes refinements with the display/and Minor internal improvements and would lead Apple to delete the 3.5 Jack if they didn’t retain the current SE casing.
I would think the least amount of manufacturing retooling is necessary to make worth while.

The iPhone SE weighs 113g and is small. If Apple never updates it, I'm probably not going to choose an iPhone 8 that weighs 148g, has only a 4.7" screen and weighs 148g.

Apple's bigger screen phones just weigh too much. You can get a Moto Z2 Play that has a 5.5" screen, weighs 145g. If figure if I'm forced to carry a heavier phone, the heavier iPhones are chunky compared to the android alternatives.

And the X, 174g- that thing needs to lose weight

Because a LOT of people like the size and design
Yea the 5 design is 1000x better than the 6, 7 or 8 - I’d love if they could do a 4/5 merger by using the glass back from the 4 on the 5 size (it might also be cool to see an SE in the 4S form factor, put a huge battery in there and give us wireless charging with the glass back)

Exactly. So frustrating about Apple. I mean, they've always made decisions for the customer and limited the offerings, but up until a certain point in time, they really seemed to hit the mark by making more pleasing/good decisions than controversial/bad decisions. Now since 2013 most decisions seem to be so focused on trying to do the most with the very least (except for "the very least" means having to buy and carry around more numerous and more expensive dongles/extras/attachments). If we're stuck with Apple being a minimalist design contest company while Timmy and J-Ive are still around, I sure hope someone there would take their head out of their rear and at least start offering more "old school" "basic" devices with archaic horrors like pressable home buttons, function keys, magsafe ports, headphone jacks, etc.

Why not get a pair of lightning headphones? No dongle/extra/attachments. Sometimes I just think people like to whine. You must have had a cardiac arrest when they dumped the CD.

Heck with updating the SE...can the Mac Mini finally get some love?

Yes please. Would be an instant buy for me.

Yes and Lehman Brothers was one of the largest lending and investment firms in the US... then went bankrupt... over night.

Don't understand the SE love. It's like being in love with a Toyota Camry instead of a Porsche 911.

For me it's more like loving a compact car vs a SUV. Price isn't a factor for me as much as size. The SE fits better in my hand and my pocket. It's also lighter.

I had the iPhoneX but just didn't like the size. I would love to have a iPhoneX in a SE form factor.

I seriously doubt that. We see that they're increasing the prices of novel phone iterations (even talking about the 8 here...)
They'll probably release the wireless charging case as a customisable option with an added $20.

I don’t think you understood the context my post. Apple doesn’t typically discount accessories until the new iteration of the previous accessory is released. My example of AirPods and watch bands, is that usually they retain the MSRP until they are discontinued by a new product. The Only time you find discounts on those types of accessories are usually through third-party retailers.
