Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

I'm so sad. My Canadian UTD is still saying Not Yet Shipped. I want to pre-sign it so I don't have to be home tmr!
 
I checked in with chat just to see what they would say:

I ordered SL through the UTD program and I was wondering when it was going to ship. I was told that it would be at my doorstep by tomorrow, yet is has not yet even shipped.
I am sorry for the confusion in the matter on when it would ship and be delivered.
The updates are scheduled to ship tomorrow.

I was going to ask him if would be at my house tomorrow, but then I realized that it is kind of different depending on where you live and he wouldn't have that info. sooooo. I'm hoping it will at least be here by Saturday.

P.S. I waited a minute and that ****er didn't even say goodbye. :( lol
 
Just got my email. Was starting to get nervous. Seems their site is very delayed. It got picked up by fedex at 7 am! Looking forward to tomorrow
 
Still not looking good on this end....NOT YET SHIPPED. I would think that Dallas or someone in Texas has the discs and they are shipping from there. I know the FedEx Hub in Hutchins is huge, so that's my best guess.
 
Chatted with THREE Apple peoples. All of them said that if it says "ships by august 28th" that it probably won't come til next week. that SUCKS :/
 
So we paid $9.99 for something that's "free" + shipping and handling, just for them to slap a postage stamp on it? I've got half a mind to cancel my UTD order and just go to the apple store tomorrow. That's not unreasonable, right? :)

It is too late to cancel it for most of us, but there is always the ability to return it.
 
While certainly not the end of the world, it *is* disappointing for UTD customers (myself included). Why? Because the weekend would be ideal for many of us to do a clean install - far better than a weeknight for me at least.

And it simply does not make sense to me why UTD customers get shafted when we were given a free upgrade but paid $10 for shipping. The retail copy is $29 with FREE overnight shipping and those customers are receiving it on launch day? WTF?!

I personally don't see what the difference is. Downloading an "illegal" copy when I have a licensed copy in the mail...how is that different? It's the license you are paying for. I already PAID for it and Apple dropped the ball on shipping it to me on launch day as promised.

I was thinking this too. My credit card has been charged for a license. It seems the same to me, and I would probably do it if SL provided some sort of extraordinary new features that were leaps and bounds better than leopards.
