Apple: Your order will be shipped out tomorrow.
Whatever status it shows on your account is the same customer service will have.
Me: When can I expect it to arrive?
Apple: Tomorrow.
Me: Sorry to be a bother, but I am a bit confused: if it hasn't shipped as of today, and it will not ship until tomorrow, then how will I receive it tomorrow? Will it ship same day?

I was told the same thing. It'll ship AND arrive tomorrow.
I'm in the same boat as you guys, ordered via up-to-date on 8/22 and mine says not yet shipped. MY GUESS is that the system just isn't updated yet but they are out there. I bet we get them tomorrow one way or another.
OTHERWISE.... apple will have many pissed off customers.
its only natural to be pissed if you dont get yours and others do when you have ordered in the same time frame.
It seems there is confusion with the apple chat people. I noticed a long delay as if they were asking others for help.

I called Apple earlier, they claim that my UTD copy was shipped today and it should be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Taken with a shaker of salt.
I'm also showing a "Not Yet Shipped" status for my Up to Date that I placed early Aug. 7th.
I did chat with someone at Apple however who assured me that it will be coming tomorrow and that their system is just behind. I sure hope so. It would be fairly lame if that wasn't the case.

Gah. I hope so too. I'm way too stressed haha. Tomorrow's my last day home before I move into college. So I'm reallly hoping it comes tomorrow.
so i called apple and they said any order that was paid and everything before 2pm est yesterday will deliver tomorrow, but the date that i see (sept 3) is an estimate in case it takes longer.

If you click on any product in the store, and you see on the left it says search store and right above that, there should be a chat bubble. If it's not there just put your mouse over the area.
It doesn't show up every time for me, but on the account page at the top where it says "Questions? Need Advice? Call 1-800-MY-APPLE" in the grey bar sometimes there is a speech bubble that says "chat" by it.
It also sometimes appears in the blue box below "Apple Store" on item pages in the store. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MAC_OS_X_SNGL?mco=NzgxMDc3NA
Just checked FedEX, landed at my local airport at 5:30 tonight - hopefully I'm early on the delivery route tomorrow
Yay! Finally received my tracking number from Apple. The current status from FedEx is that it is being Picked Up Ontario, CA at 1:55 P.M. Pretty late getting our tracking numbers out Apple. Oh well, at least it will hopefully make it to delivery tomorrow morning
Mine has the exact same time/info but since I'm in BC I'm not holding my breath it's gonna make it all the way out here tomorrow. No worries though. Monday is pretty damn good when the thing is released on Friday and am 8 hours from the closest Apple store.
would be nice if you can pick these UTD discs from the apple store if it doesn't show up tomorrow.
