Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

Don't know. Could just be the disc in a cardboard envelope.

well, earlier in the week (wednesday), i contacted a rep who was able to look up my order. she said it was, in fact, "prepared for shipment" although the order status that i had access to indicated only "not yet shipped".

3 reps have mentioned to me that up-to-date orders were being handled the same as the $29 upgrades, and one (just one hour ago) still said UTD orders are due to arrive tomorrow. (that rep -- and all the ones via chat -- have no ability to check into specific orders.)

the last rep said that volume was very high so shipping updates are slower than normal.

guess we'll find out soon (though perhaps not as soon as we hope).

I'm in the same boat man, I'm just trying to lighten the mood. I'm a UTD customer who's pissed as hell, but lets try not to take our own lives here :p

only happened cause you ordered it after wednesday. apple said they make sure that if u ordered before wednesday, you would get it on friday, but i'm really doubting that right now.

Yea, i know. I'm actually on time with my shipment. I ordered Monday and everything is set for tomorrow. I feel sorry for you guys though...and its not like you can go and buy one at the store (well not for 10 bucks!).
 
Pre-ordered on Amazon, and got 1 day shipping with it. Turns out it'll be delivered on Monday the 31st, not Saturday the 29th. It's not like I'm dying to get Snow Leopard, I'll be fine with Leopard. :D
 
Question:

Do I need to show a Leopard (or my MBP's Leopard disk) to get the upgrade at the store? Or do I have to take my laptop in?

So I assume the "retail" and "upgrade" disks are exactly the same, as noted by others here.

I needed to reinstall Leopard anyways, so I'll go the SL route now.

It's so annoying when you read a post saying somebody's received their SL, only to look at their location to see it says something hilarious* like "in front of my computer" or "on another planet". I do wish people would at least put their countries, or at least mention where they are in their post!

*That's hilarious as in like comedy T-shirts and car window stickers.
 
Looks like I'm the unlucky one then... UK (Sheffield) here and no sign of Snow Leopard this morning... Was having it delivered to work and now away until Wednesday, so looks like it will be next week before I get to install! Ah well...

Oh, ordered it Monday as it was released...

Not very happy, but what can you do!?! Pay more than the US folk and no guarentee'd delivery! That's life I guess... Ah well, at least I can have a relaxing bank holiday weekend... I'm blaming the Sheffield post rather than Apple, things always seem to take a day longer to arrive here!
 
While the Apple store said Snow Leopard had been shipped yesterday, the track and trace number in the Apple Store (you only see it as a link in the english languaged version of the order status) at TNT shows that the shipment had been electronically created, but the actual package is not at TNT yet.

So, I guess the estimated delivery date of september 1st is unfortunately probably right. Bummer, I was hoping for a delivery today...

Pre-created shipment not found: manco
The shipment was electronically created at TNT Post (for example by using the program IT Pakket), but it wasn't delivered the same day to TNT Post for shipment, hence it was not found.

No Snow in Cheshire

Although it has been raining. Post has been, but nothing for me today. Not even a bill. Disappointing.
