Im in the same boat,
In sheffield waiting, ordered it the day it was announced (monday i think).
Just asked reception, nothing but a stupid water feature for my work colleague
Still i think business have a afternoon post, fingers crossed!

Hi mate. Went for the standard delivery by mail. Also the Apple store in Kingston was empty this morning even though they had tape out for the rush that never happened. Also the Bentalls Centre had a fire alarm and was evacuated. What a mess!
Mine shipped Wednesday, didn't arrive this morning though...Mine shipped yesterday...
The snow came and went in Leeds. Unfortunately, due to the adverse weather conditions, I had to give the wife a lift to work and I missed the snow. I was only away for 15 mins
It looks like i will be taking a trip to our local depot this evening and picking it up myself - or wait for the next delivery on Tuesday
how can you do this to me I got an email from Apple early hours of Thursday morning saying it shipped .. here's hoping it arrives today.. if it doesn't, I will be disappointed :-/, but till then.. i'm smiling in hope

I think it should arrive today because when i checked my order status it said it had been shipped to my home town. but it said it would be shipped by the 2nd of september but it does not take 5 days to send it about 10 miles. but usually it says 5 days and it comes in 1 or 2.

Royal Mail been and gone, no Snow Leopard for me today. Unless they couriered it - which I doubt
UTD or retail
I ordered my UTD on 12/08. I live in Victoria, near Geelong. Shipped today (28th) via Aus post. Estimated delivery: 7th- could not believe it. Is it the UTD being screwed?
Other people in aus are receiving today, so just thought they might be retail.

My mate ordered SL about a week after me, looks like he's getting it today, me? Tuesday
luck of the draw I guess, still I didn't expect to be getting it today, just sucks that my mate will be Snow Leopard delivered today Friday 28th August
Took 50 minutes to install
Have been trying for the last 2 hours to get my HP Officejet 4255 all-in-one to work to no avail.
The choice when you go the selecting a printer shows the 4300 series bot not the 4200....quite annoying but will keep on trying

My UTD still not showing as shipped in Canada so I'm in an even worse position....
According to FedEx tracking, mine is still sitting in Newark, NJ. It's supposed to be delivered to Long Island, NY (probably a one and a half to two hour drive for a truck) by 3PM today. We'll see what happens.
Worst case scenario I can probably get it in the store and either return this one give it to a friend, that is if I really want it today.

Was it a courier or Royal Mail that left you the 'you were out note'?
When I ordered on Monday at checkout you could choose an express delivery option, which you had to pay for. Can't remember how much it was though.
I knew I should have picked it up. The kingston store is about a 10min car journey from me. Now I have to wait for it to come
