Snow Leopard Shipping? [merged]

Waiting on mine as well. Ordered it on 8/26 after purchasing my MBP. There is a hold on my CC for $10.55 which is still pending, and my ship status says not yet shipped.
 
Also, at least for my area you can tell they were prepared for it since the box I got was clearly generic. The order form is for "Apple Customer", not my name like it was last time and the order number section is blank. Also, the tracking info started off in Toronto.
 
Mine just arrived

I'm in Michigan and FedEx just dropped it off... I think I will try it on my wife's mac book first... I'm going to wait a couple weeks for my MacPro.

FYI... ordered on Monday and Apple sent out the email saying delivery by Friday.

Newark is probably where all the shipments get separated according to region, so your copy had to go there first along with everyone else's in New England.

Are you talking retail stores? Apple retail stores don't sell the UTD packages, so they can't accept them as returns.
 
Can i return an online purchased copy to the store, if i go buy a copy in-store now?

He is asking if it's the same packaging as he will just take the UTD copy and return it with the receipt for the other one. aka still get the 20 dollars off.
 
Post doesn't come till the afternoon here in east sussex, sooo... just have to wait. I didn't pay extra for postage, so i'll let you know if i get it :)

prospect good though, it was shipped on the 26th and reached postal on the 27th... so the 28th is my day? :)

If that's true. All I will have to say is SCREW you Apple. My ORDER was in 2 Weeks ago. 2 WEEKS. It isn't first come first serve. It's screw over your new Mac buyers and then toss their 15 cent disc in the river and hope it floats to it's destination. Apple has once again proven how awful it's customer service relations are. Why don't you replace my iPhone with a supposedly "new "(refurbished) iPhone that has a giant scratch on the back of it. Incompetent idiots. I haven't been this dissapointed with Apple since about a year ago. It's open season for criticism.
 
so just checked purolator and my SL copy just scanned in toronto at 5am this morning. with the 2 hr time difference, maybe it will be here today??? its just a flight away!!! :)

I was going to cancel my UTD order and order the $29 retail copy earlier this week... but when I called into Apple, the rep said she was unable to cancel the UTD order and I would have to pay twice then send one back. As a student, I don't have the money to do such a thing...

This is beginning to be slightly irritating...
 
No shipment on my June UTD order either. Was told last night by a rep it was guaranteed to ship by and arrive by today (Friday).

You'd think they would ship them in the order that the orders were placed in!

Apple rep this morning blamed it on the "overwhelming popularity" and told me to check with my local store if they have it in stock and while they can't cancel my order for me since it's currently "prepared for shipment" that they can process a refund later. Why would I go to that much trouble!? no thanks. Annoyed but not the end of the world.
 
I ordered From Apple as soon as they offered it up for pre order. It was shipped overnight yesterday, and on the truck for delivery today. Signature required, and it says delivery by 3:00 PM, so I'm stuck here waiting, possibly all day.

Has your Purolator tracking shown anything up to this point?! Mine still has nothing yet mine shipped yesterday around 8:30am EST

Also, which method did you pick? I didn't pay the $20 for faster shipping as I thought it would come via FedEx who would have had it here by now no matter what shipping I picked

when you go onto the apple website to get your tracking number of SL, you click the link and it goes to the main purolator page, just type or paste your tracking number into the PIN field, and it should come up with the information.

i ordered mine on tuesday of this week and i selected the free shipping method. i have been reading here that it shipped yesterday and should deliever today. so if its in toronto right now or 3 hrs ago, than that means it should come today???

I wonder what logic they used in deciding to screw the UTD people.

1) it costs 1/3
2) they already bought the laptop so **** them
3) they at least already have a recent working OS
4) doesn't look as bad with the pending charge

"Not Yet Shipped" and "Ships by Aug 28th"

I was told that due to overwhelming demand and technical difficulties...statuses haven't been updated but it IS due to arrive today since it was ordered by Aug 26th.

I'm staying optimistic :)
 
yep...pretty pissed myself!

I ordered the first day I was able to ...aug 2nd!


now it says it will show up on the second of sept..
this is bull!

im going to go to an apple store and see if i can buy a copy and then return what comes in the mail next week..

guess thats what I get for signing up as soon as I could

I hope this is true...i hate waiting around like this not knowing whats happening, and getting two different lines of information from the reps.
 
Placed the UTD order on 6/16. It says shipped by 8/28/09, but as of this morning, it still hasn't shipped. Unless it has been shipped and the system wasn't updated.
