What is the latest confirmed information you have regarding the UTD orders of Snow Leopard. I was originally told that they would be delivered today but now that is not the case?

Basically they are shipped out starting with who ordered first.

Because as of Wednesday morning--when I placed my order--I was told delivery today
So how can it be that in a matter of a few hours I went from "delivery today" to "**** you"
I would not thing that is the case at all. I can understand if you were one of the first to order or even a week or two ago.
Well then what do you call it when you are misinformed by company representatives?
Let me get you the number to Customer Service so they can further assist.
I would expect this sort of thing to happen if I ordered from Dell. But I thought Apple couldn't do any wrong.

I understand your concern and how excited it must have felt to get an order done the day before yesterday today. I recommend calling Customer Service to have them look into it for you.
This has been a huge botch on Apple's part, I hope you know that and raise that fact at your team meetings. I would not be that upset if I hadn't been given false hope and then the run-around after the fact.
After all, I thought "pre-Order" means you get your copy the day it launches.

I suppose that the money I spent on my new system is no good anymore, right?
Is this the kind of customer service I can continue to expect as someone who bought his first Mac?

By 3:00 PM. If you aren't past your FedEx guy's normal delivery time, or unless the FedEx people lose your package or break down, you'll get it.

What I'd do to actually KNOW mine was coming today, no matter how late it came. As far as mine is concerned, it's been in transit for 27 hours yet it hasn't been scanned at all. Who the hell knows where mine is
Mine took 11 hours to fly from Memphis to Houston last night. I was getting really worried around 2AM when it was still "Departed from FedEx facility Memphis"

lol yeah basically. I don't understand why how it could possibly come today... I also was just going to go to the apple store and pay the $29 if I could have canceled my order.
I know people are anxious... but seriously, I got my copy this morning... Installed on my macbook and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from 10.5.8...
My point being, just be patient, its a very underwhelming upgrade from an end user perspective... worthwhile, yes... worth waiting on every tracked update from fedex, no...

If you can still cancel your order because it doesn't seem to be shipped yet, check out Best Buy.
The are offering SL for $25 with store pickup. So, cheaper than through apple and I don't have to wait.
I'm just waiting on the confirmation email that it's in my local store.

I called and was on hold for forever, but a recording message came on that said "if you are calling about your order of SL and placed your order before Aug 26th 2:00PM PDT then you should receive your order August 28th" I hung up the phone after being on hold for 11 minutes.

Yeah, I'm glad someone finally said it.
Even though I pre-ordered my UTD August 17th (2 weeks ago), I dont really care if it comes today. Sure, it would be nice - but since it's mostly all under-the-hood stuff anyways? I can wait a few days...
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I installed it right away and after 5 mins, back to work... I'm more anxious to get it on my MacPro and see how FCP, Aperture, PS, After effects, etc... perform.
But the laundry list of apps that may have potential problems will keep me waiting a bit.
Oh well, I figure there’s a 50/50 chance it arrives today and yes; it would be nice to have the weekend to play with it. However, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. If it’s a no-show I’ll just sit back and watch the forums to see if anyone has problems with their install experience.
**UPDATE** Just received a shipping update "Shipped USPS arrives 1 Sept".
Oh how I'm not going to have any fun this weekend. I guess its back to my boring-asss scanning project. Who knows, maybe a 10.6.1 will be available by then!

If you're getting pissed about not receiving your OS update disc on the day it says it will be shipped out, its time to take a good look at your life and get your priorities straight.

UTD shipment
They are telling me that my UTD shipment is coming via USPS and probably will not be her for 2 to 5 days. I will eventually get a tracking # - however USPS hardly ever updates there tracking. Kind of frustrating since I ordered in plenty of time to receive it today - But I won't throw a fit about it.
